Morning came so quick and Muna had to leave for work. She has a business which will begin in two hours.

Just like you know, Franco has to be up on time to prepare breakfast for her. This he did and was in the Kitchen when Caleb walked out.

He has a motive. He wanted to get hold of Muna's phone so he could easily text Franco the address to meet up with her.

So, he waited until Muna ate.

“I'm out…” Muna said out loud, walking out of the mansion.

The moment she wanted to leave the house, she bumped into Caleb who hit her so hard on her shoulder, making her items fall off.

Caleb quickly got down, packing her bag which had dropped. “I am sorry, Muna!” He Uttered as he continued packing her bag

“No, it's okay. It was my fault as well, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going” Muna responded.

Caleb handed her her bag. “Take, I packed them for you!”

“Thank you” Muna greeted, smiling happily at Caleb. “I will be on my way already!”

She walked forward, leaving the mansion. The moment

Mrs Nathan stared at the paper in her hand, her mind spinning with questions.“How on earth do they have my bio?”“How do they know my account balance? Even the secret account I created to embezzle Scott Empire's money?”“What is the meaning of A PLAYER?”“And what on earth is the Lioness’ Den?”She slowly sank onto the sofa, her brows tightening. That name—Lioness’ Den—was foreign to her. She had never heard of such an organization. Not in business, not in politics, not even in whispers.“Something is definitely off,” she muttered, picking up her phone. “I should call Dyesi... Maybe she knows something about this group. They know too much about me.”But just as her finger hovered over the call button, she stopped. Her eyes darted around, uncertain. A new thought slipped into her mind.“Wait. Maybe I should search for it first... G**gle should help.”She opened her browser and typed in “Lioness’ Den.” The results were full of wildlife articles, images of lionesses in their natural hab

The Chief turned and left Mrs Nathan’s presence. It wasn’t surprising to her anymore that her son had been assaulting innocent girls. She had found out about it six years ago, though she couldn’t tell exactly how long it had been going on before then. She turned back and looked at the girls again. Her eyes landed on one of them—a girl she recognized too well. That girl had been Caleb’s victim for years. In fact, she was the very first person Mrs Nathan had ever caught with her son.The girl was too young back then. Maybe twelve. As a mother, Mrs Nathan told her to keep quiet and even offered her a large sum of money so she wouldn’t say a word to anyone. Then she went to Caleb to demand an explanation. That was when he told her, without guilt, that he enjoyed sleeping with minors because they gave him more pleasure than mature women. He also made her promise never to reveal the truth. She loved him too much to say no. That love made her accept his monstrous behavior. From then on, she

Dyesi closed her bag and gave Mrs Nathan a sly look. “That’s for you to find out—if you’re ready, Stella. You’re just 32, a perfect fit. You’ve got the body for what happens inside the Lioness' Den.”Mrs Nathan stared at her, stunned. She hadn’t expected such a strange offer, and the name alone made her more confused.“I’ve never even heard of these people in my life,” she said, frowning. “And you think they’ll make me rich? Just like that?”Dyesi gave a soft laugh, brushing her hand over Mrs Nathan’s wrist. Her smile held something smug. “The Lioness’ Den isn’t for everybody, Stella. Only those who are invited, and only the ones who are truly worth it, get to know what it’s about.”She turned to leave. But Mrs Nathan stopped her. “How do you know these people, Dyesi? And if they’re the key to being rich, why aren’t you swimming in money already?”Dyesi turned back, her eyes glowing with pride. “They say never judge a book by its cover. You’re doing just that, Mrs Nathan.”“So you’re

  • 149. Invitation To The Lioness' Den!

At Zone 5, where the shootout had stained the night with blood and screams, the place now sat in eerie silence. The crowd was long gone. The police had packed up. Only one figure remained—Mrs. Nathan. She knelt on the cold pavement, arms wrapped tightly around a framed photo of her son, Caleb. Her shoulders trembled, her face soaked in silent tears. She wasn’t just crying—she was breaking apart, piece by piece. The world around her had vanished. All she could see was her boy’s face smiling from that photo, his laughter still echoing somewhere in her memory. She didn’t notice the silver car parked a few feet away. She didn’t hear the door open or the soft click of heels on the cracked concrete.Dyesi stood by the car for several minutes, watching her. Her arms were folded across her chest, impatience flickering in her eyes. When it became clear that Mrs. Nathan wasn’t moving, Dyesi finally approached and placed a hand gently on her shoulder.“Are you not going home?” she asked, glancin

Franco and Muna completely ignored Mrs. Nathan’s threats. Without saying a word, they walked straight to the car where Granny had already taken her seat.Mr. Jones stood there for a moment, torn. He had a decision to make. He couldn’t side with Mrs. Nathan—not when he still needed money from the Scotts. After losing his job recently, only a fool would stay back and console her.As soon as Muna stepped into the car, Granny turned sharply to Mr. Jones.“Start the car!” she commanded.“Yes, Mother,” he replied, reaching for the ignition. But before he could turn the key, Muna held the car door, blocking him.“What are you saying, Mother? Franco hasn’t even stepped in yet, and you're already asking Uncle to drive off?”Granny’s eyes flared with rage. She jabbed a finger at Muna.“Don’t lecture me on what is right and wrong! That useless husband of yours has nothing to offer this family! He’s better off out there. I will not sit in the same car with a nobody like him!”Muna opened her mout

After Caleb collapsed lifelessly to the ground, Franco hurled his gun at the body, his eyes burning with fury.“This is the death you deserve, Caleb,” he spat through gritted teeth. “For all your cruelty and greed. I wish you a safe journey to the afterlife.”Without another glance, Franco slid the other gun into his pocket and started walking away slowly, his steps unsteady. He hadn’t planned to kill Caleb—not truly. But deep down, he knew it had to be done. Caleb could’ve been a way to get the truth about the Lioness’ Den, but that didn’t matter anymore. Franco had made his choice. He pulled the trigger—and he felt no guilt.“Are you alright, My Lord?” Dave rushed over and extended a hand to steady him.Franco paused, surveying the scene. The media had already arrived. Reporters huddled at the edge of the clearing, their cameras flashing. Police officers were spread out, gathering statements from the surviving men.Dave tried to help him walk, but Franco shook his head. He leaned cl
