Ethan scoffed, looking Harry in the eyes.

“When I heard that you had been set free from prison, I didn’t believe it. But here you are, causing a nuisance on my property.” He paused for a few seconds, but he was not done talking.

“A word of advice, Harry. Just turn around and walk away while you can. I have very important things to attend to, and you are not one of them..”

Harry snorted, revealing the contempt that had always been buried deep inside his eyes.

“You don’t deserve to be the CEO of Tenent! I do, Ethan! I have always been the one working my butts off with Mr. Hilton! I don’t know how you were able to get this company to be yours.”

Eva scoffed, and when she could no longer hold it, she began to laugh, mocking Harry with her eyes and finger.

“What’s funny?!” Harry yelled at her, but that didn’t stop her from laughing.

Ethan took a deep breath, looking Harry in the eyes from the moment he had his attention.

CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FORTY-TWO The moment Ethan walked into the ward, Maria forced herself up from the chair, walking up to her brother with wide eyes. “Where have you been, Ethan?!” She frowned, her eyes burning with annoyance.“Father has been asking about you,” She added, staring Ethan in the eyes. “That was when she eventually saw the weakness in his eyes, indicating that he was exhausted. “Is everything alright?” She asked, but Ethan didn't respond. He walked to the bed where Michael was and sighed heavily, staring at the recovering man. “How is he?” he asked the moment Maria inched closer, his eyes still fixed on his father. “He is totally fine now, Ethan,” Maria responded cheerfully, and then she chuckled softly, grabbing her brother’s arm with both hands. “Thank you so much, Ethan! Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible!” She laughed joyfully, unable to hide her relief. Ethan turned to look at her face, and then he sighed heavily, a smile spreading all over his

“How long is it going to take you to find your bank app and make the damn transfer?!” Ethan asked with a vibrating tone, sending more shivers down Reese’s spine.“I am trying!” Reese said with a shaky voice, staring from one part of the screen to the other as though he had never seen it before.“I can’t find it!” He said, his tone low and cracked. Ethan scoffed, and then he grabbed the phone from him with a rough snatch. “Let me help you.” He said calmly, and with just a few scrolls and swipes, he found what had been staring Reese in the eyes for a while, and it was either that he pretended not to see the colorful icon, or he was too flustered to pay attention. Ethan proceeded to click on the icon, and then he lifted his face to his uncle, holding onto his wry smile.“What’s the code?” He asked impatiently, glaring at the middle-aged man. Reese swallowed hard, showing reluctance to speak. “The code, Uncle!” Ethan sparked, his eyes burning with annoyance. “Three…” Reese paused, f

Watching from where he was standing, Reese was frozen in shock, his eyes turning from one man to the other. But he seemed more concerned about the old man, his eyes spreading like they were about to run out of their sockets.“He is not going to survive it.” He muttered frantically, seeing the blood that gushed out from his mouth. “Ethan is as fierce as his father.” He observed, his voice low and trembling. The thought of helping the old man crept into his mind, but he was very quick to shake it off, not certain if he was going to be able to survive the consequences of drawing Ethan’s fury toward himself. He already knew that he was going to suffer greatly after that moment, his hands trembling almost as fast as his pounding heartbeat. Ethan eventually stopped striking the old man, leaving him weakened with blood all over his face. Smith gasped, panted, and gagged his vital fluid, his hands quivering as he struggled to catch his breath.“I need water?!” He wheezed, turning to Rees

CHAPTER HUNDRED AND THIRTY-EIGHT After a glance at the old man, Ethan turned to Reese, glaring at him in disdain.“I will come to you later,” He snorted, causing Reese to stagger backward. “Where is the rest of my money?” Ethan demanded from the old man, his glowing eyes evidence of the rage that was rippling through his nerves. Smith wanted to ignore the sensation that gripped him, but it was too intense for him to overlook.Without knowing it, he was already staggering backward, his breath seeming like it no longer belonged to him. “The money no longer belongs to you, Ethan! It is mine now!” He retorted, his voice reeking of arrogance and desperation, his eyes sparking with disdain. “I suggest you go back to wherever you are coming from before you make me angrier than I am.” The old man added, leaving Reese dumbfounded. However, when Reese turned to look at Ethan, he saw nothing that looked like anger or annoyance. Instead, the young CEO looked completely calm, and the wry sm

Reese couldn’t get himself to say even a word. He nervously bent his face to the table, refusing to lift it no matter the pressure. Smith was still insistent on getting a response from him, turning to face him with a glare.“How could you bring him to this place, Reese? You have betrayed me!” He clenched his fist tightly, but he did not want to be told that the young man was going to defeat him effortlessly in a fair fight. “I am here on my own accord, Smith.” Ethan finally broke his silence, slowing his steps while he held onto his wry smile. This unplanned occurrence had left Jake wondering what was going on, and sensing the increasing tension in the air, he was forced to rise from the chair, turning to the old man who was the only one he knew among the three men. “What the hell is going on, Smith?
