7. Then You Are My Man

“Not on my watch!”

Her voice was clear and sweet, but with the high-pitched tone she used, it made everyone pause.

Jake’s eyes widened as he looked at the familiar figure. “Naya!”

Naya glanced at him, and her lips curled up with disgust. “Who are you?”

If it was any other person, Jake and his minions would have flared up. However, even though the Willow family had some money, they couldn’t compare to the Ornery family in any way.

In front of her, Jake didn’t dare to speak. He even lowered his head slightly.

Seeing that he knew his place, Naya nodded slightly.

On the other hand, Lily thought that Naya had charmed Jake with her looks and flared up.

“Who’s this vixen? Why can’t you greet Jake? Do you dare to offend the Willow family?”

Everyone looked at her but nodded in agreement. After all, they didn’t know who Naya was.

However, Jake seemed to have called her name, so no one was bold enough to scold her like Lily had just done.

Naya’s eyes narrowed as she turned to look at Lily.

“And you are?”

Seeing the ridicule in her eyes and Naya’s beautiful features, Lily lost her composure.

“I’m his girlfriend, and if you think that you can…” before she could finish her words, a slap landed on her cheeks.

Smack!

Everyone’s eyes opened wide as Jake stepped forward and pushed Lily behind him.

“Miss Naya…”

“It seems like your family is tired of living,” Naya said as she massaged the hands she had just used to slap Lily.

Jake panicked as he heard her threat and immediately lost all form of pride.

“Naya, please forgive her. She has no idea who you are.”

Everyone was stunned by Jake’s reaction, and even Liam’s brows furrowed.

Who was this girl?

To make Jake become this humble and afraid, it must mean that her identity was not simple!

Seeing that things were chaotic, he immediately decided to sneak away. After all, he had rushed to school for a reason.

But before he could leave, Naya stepped forward and walked right to where he was.

“You made your minions lay hands on my man?” Naya announced as she walked to where Liam was. In front of everyone, she locked their arms together and smiled sweetly at him.

“Baby, where did they hit you?”

Jake’s mouth slackened as he saw the scene before him. With all his previous arrogance gone, what was now on his face was pure jealousy.

“Naya, are you mistaken? He’s just some small student with no back…”

“Shut up!” Naya cut in as she glared at Jake.

“Upload a video of your minions being beaten to the school website. If I don’t see it, your family will be getting a call from the head of security at Ornery.”

Without another word, she dragged the stunned Liam away from the crowd.

“Ornery?”

“Surely, it can’t be the same Ornery Group that we know, right?” Another person asked while looking at the car that Naya and Liam had just entered.

Everyone glanced at Jake; after all, he was the only one who could confirm.

“Hmm, the same Ornery Group,” he replied after a while.

Almost everyone sucked in air.

What? The Ornery Group!

Everyone knew that the Ornery Group had one daughter and was considered the princess of socialites. Among rich heiresses, she was the most spoiled and pampered, and her family would always back her up.

Why was she in their school?

“Could it be that the Ornery princess is coming to our school?” Someone murmured, and Jake’s eyes flashed with light.

His eyes reddened with anger as he remembered the scene of Naya hugging Liam. How could that poor boy be worthy of the princess’s attention?

On the other hand, Lily was already frightened silly. After all, she had spoken rudely to Naya just now.

Although her family background was not as terrible as Liam, who was already an orphan, her parents were very normal and even struggled to send her to college.

If Naya decided to find fault with her…

She hugged Jake’s arms as her eyes got teary.

“Jake… what if I offended her?” Her voice was soft, and with her misty eyes, Jake’s heart softened, and he rubbed her head gently.

“Don’t worry, since she has slapped you, she has written it off, as for you four…”

Even though they were fighting for him, Jake had no plans to back them up. Since they had offended the Ornery princess, then they had to be dealt with!

On the other hand, Lily sighed with relief on hearing that she was not in any trouble.

Since the drama was already over, the crowd dispersed.

On the other hand, inside the limited edition Rolls Royce, Liam was sitting down stiffly as he glanced at the girl beside him.

He broke the silence because she hadn’t said anything since they entered.

“Miss Naya, thank you for saving me. However, if you don’t mind, I’ll get down here. In the future, if there’s any way I can repay you, I’ll try my best to do this.”

Still no reply.

Since she didn’t reply, Liam felt that she had acknowledged him and opened the car door.

“Did I say you could leave?”

Her voice was clear and sweet to the ears but it still held some type of power that made the hearer a little nervous.

“I thought…”

“You are now my man. If you get down now, don’t you think others will talk? Speak what department are you going to; I’ll drop you off.”

Liam’s brows furrowed as he heard her words.

Her man?

Although she was very beautiful, probably the most attractive lady he had seen in his entire life, he was not stupid to think that anything could happen between them.

She was a high princess, and he was just a regular student. How could there be anything between them?

“I believe that this is the first time that I’ve met you. How can I be your man?”

Naya giggled as she heard his reply.

“Hehe,”

“Since I said that you are my man, then you are my man.”
