The warehouse was quiet as the thugs huddled behind Billy, eyes trained on the laptop screen.

“Have you gotten the boy's location yet?”

Billy suddenly slapped his hands on the desk. “Enough!”

He lurched out of his seat with anger, displaying a weak demeanor as he was still severely injured, barely making it through on painkillers that would soon wear off. “Can you, please, tell your boss that I'm gonna need more time to find Jamie. I've been trying to locate him before I was brought here, and none of it worked.”

The thugs were ruthless, and their boss was even more so. He rushed over and slapped Billy with a fist rather than a palm, sending the boy with the glasses falling straight to the ground, almost hitting his head on the concrete.

“Listen here, slave, if you prove yourself useless to the task that Mr. Tyson has assigned you, the only other way out for your sorry ass….is death.”
