Julian studied the picture, mentally trying to figure out who the last person was but the photograph was not clear enough. He couldn’t think of a name but he was quite sure the face was familiar.

“Do you have a clearer version of this photograph?” He asked Eden, just to be sure.

Eden shook his head, “that picture is the only one there is, no duplicate”

Julian nodded.

“Where was this picture taken?” Julian asked, he wanted to have all reasons to doubt Eden’s claims. But, so far,

Chapter 13“From this day onwards, you will be known as Jackson Magnus,” Those were the parting words Eden left him with yesterday. He had spent his entire life as Julian Williams with a lot of suffering attached, accepting the Magnus name wouldn’t erase the suffering but it would give him the chance to build a better future and seek his revenge. “Jackson Magnus,” he tested the name and it rolled smoothly off his tongue. A new life had begun. ********************************* The next day, Jackson was in the kitchen, clad in a long robe and was making a cup of coffee for himself. He was just pouring the hot water into the cup when Kian walked into the kitchen. “Good morning, sir” Kian greeted with his head bowed. Jackson picked up his cup of coffee and turned to look at Kian, “good morning” he greeted as he sat on the tall stools surrounding the island. “Where are all the workers? Why are you making this yourself?” Kian questioned, he looked round and there was no house worke

But, so far, Eden had given him two reasons to believe his claims. “It was taken on a private family property,” Eden revealed to Julian. “A private family property?” He asked again, his fingers tracing the edge of the photograph. Eden nodded. “Who owns the private family property?” Julian questioned. “The ownership has been long changed. It is owned by a completely different person now” Eden said, slightly avoiding answering the question directly. “Was this picture taken before or after the incident in

Chapter 11Eden walked to a couch in the corner of the room and took his seat on it, then he gestured at Julian, signaling him to come sit down beside him. Julian immediately understood the gesture and took a seat beside him. Eden clears his throat before speaking , “Are you truly willing to accept the Magnus name?” He asked, his voice still coming out hoarse despite his earlier actions. Julian appeared surprised, why was Eden questioning him like he had a choice. He was literally forced to be here. A part of him was tempted to say ‘no’, but he held back against it. “I only agreed partly because it was Auntie Lore’s dying wish and because I am choosing to view this as an opportunity to get the life I aspire” Julian responded to him with a straight face. Eden nodded , he respected his honesty and braveness. “Being a Magnus is not only about getting the life you deserve. Yes, you would get the life you deserve but you should also know that it all comes at a cost,” Eden said, a subt

Because, I, Jackson Magnus is back for revenge!” He said with utmost seriousness, his knuckles forming a hard fist. He gritted his teeth in rage recalling how those two were so engrossed in pleasuring themselves. ‘I will start with Kyra. I will show you that you are not worthy to even tie my shoelace and then Denzel , the punches you gave me, I promise to return them to you in ten folds’He said in his mind and relaxed his back on the soft chair. He hummed his favorite lullaby and took a short nap while the car drove. They arrived at the destination and the door was opened by Kian. Julian climbed down from the car and in a span of a second, the entrance was crowded with maids, guards and butlers, lining up having their head bowed down. They genuflected and said in unison. “Welcome back Young Lord!” As soon as they said, the pathway was cleared and Julian’s l

Unfortunately, she did not open her eyes and it was shut forever. ~Beeeppp~ The monitor rang alerting Eden, Smith and his medical team. They rushed into the room and found Julian crying his heart out. He clenched onto her arms begging her to wake up and be alive. Smith dragged Julian away from her and handed him over to the old man. Smith confirmed her death and bowed his head in silence. Chapter Eight: Passed away. “What?!” Julian said, his brows furrowed in incomprehension. A few while ago, he had blamed the old man and even dared to beat him till he bled from the right side of his mouth. Now that Smith testified to it and bowed his head as a sign of gratitude to the old man, guilt pricked him. He stared at the smirking old man and followed the doctors to the private, VIP room. “I suppose he also paid for this too?” Julian hovered around Smith’s shoulders and asked. He was regretting everything he had done to this old man. He only wanted his grandson back to him and nothing more. He didn’t plan on harming him either. Could it be they were also the good guys too? Julian in guilt walked inside the room. He brought out a chair for Eden as a sign of gratitude. Five minutes passed and the doctors concluded the medical checkup on Miss Harrison and left, allowing the two of them to be alone. Julian glanced at Eden and he did the same back to Julian. They made eye contac
