Chapter 05: Meeting Again.

Eric sighed as he walked into the Peninsula Hotel. He had to come to check his property, according to the system, the current manager would be able to recognize him.

Walking into the lobby of the hotel, Eric smiled as he walked towards the receptionist with a smile on his face.

"Hey, beautiful!" Eric grinned, calling the attention of the receptionist.

"How much I help you sir?" The receptionist, a young woman blushed as she looked at Eric.

"I want to see your manager, where is he?" Eric asked.

"Well..." The receptionist became speechless as Eric's request was rather absurd.

"Don't worry, damsel, just tell him that Eric Taylor is here to see him." Eric continued seeing the reluctant expression on the receptionist.

The Young woman blushed hard hearing what Eric said, though she wanted to refuse the latter, but then he had a rather undeniable charisma and thus didn't want to turn him down.

[Ding: ten points received]

[Ding: hundred points received]

A series of notifications rang in Eric's mind. He couldn't help but smile as he checked his stats, his points had risen from zero to about five hundred.

All he needed to do was just flirt with girls, and he would be able to acquire points to be able to redeem abilities.

"Hey, Eric, what are you doing here?" A rather unpleasant voice came just as Eric was lost in his thoughts.

Eric frowned as he turned around to look at the figure only to come in the face with Amelia, his ex-girlfriend. Besides her were two of her friends whom he couldn't recognize, and a man who looked rather average.

"Amelia, is that your ex-boyfriend?" One of the ladies who had a heavy make-up on giggled as she pointed at Eric looking at the latter in disdain.

"Even though he's handsome, it's a pity he's useless. His handsome face can't do him any good, in the end, he'll become a gigolo to some rich older woman." The other sneered, also looking at Eric in disgust.

"I must tell you that no matter the amount of begging, I won't accept you back. I told you before that we are both from a different world, there's no need for you to follow me here, I won't listen to your pleas!" Amelia snorted arrogantly.

Eric's mouth twitched violently as he looked at Amelia, then at the young man by her side.

"And besides, you cannot compare to young master Ray by my side here. He has given me all I could ever ask for." Amelia continued even before Eric could say anything.

"You see this bag, it's worth fifty thousand dollars, you couldn't even get one worth a thousand dollars for me." Amelia sneered as she pointed to a bag she was carrying.

"Yes, young Master Ray is very generous, he even got one for us." The woman with heavy makeup said as she also flashed her bag in front of Eric.

Eric squinted his brows as he looked at Amelia and her friends. Were they hit in the head by something? He just couldn't understand.

"So what do you want me to do about that?" Eric narrowed his eyes as he stared at Amelia.

"You see young master Ray, he's far better than you. Besides, he has money and lots of connections that you can't think of. It'll be better if you don't think about me again or try to stalk me, or else I won't take it lightly with you." Amelia sneered.

"Yes, even the manager of the Peninsula Hotel has to show him some respect if he comes to dine here." The woman with heavy make-up said arrogantly.

"He has even been given a discount of 95% on whatever he'll buy, do you think someone like you could compare to him?" The other woman sneered.

"I wonder who gave who, a 95% discount on everything." An arrogant voice came just as Eric was about to say something.

"Manager Wang!" Ray immediately rushed over to greet a figure approaching them.

The figure was a man in his forties, he was neither short nor was he tall. His face had some wrinkles, but at the same time, he had an overbearing aura.

"Get out of my way brat!" The man said hurriedly, pushing Ray out of his way and walking towards Eric.

"Director!" Manager Wang greeted Eric and bowed slightly to him.

"Manager Wang." Eric smiled slightly as motioned for the latter to stand.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd be here so fast." Manager Wang smiled as he looked at Eric.

"It's fine, I just came to have a look." Eric smiled as he looked around.

"Director, here's not too conducive, we should go to my office." Manager Wang said, looking at Eric.

"No, don't worry, I just came to check this place out. I don't know much about managing Hotels. You should continue running it just as you were doing." Eric shook his head declining the request.

He still had a lot of work to do, so there was no need to look at anything. Besides, he has just come to take a look and be acquainted with the manager.

"Alright Manager Wang, you can go about your business, you don't have to worry about me, I'll be leaving now." Eric smiled as he turned around to leave.

Manager Wang breathed in a sigh of relief seeing Eric's actions. The hotel has been acquired all of a sudden.

He was just a small manager and didn't dare to question anything.

Eric's picture has been sent to him so that he would be able to recognize the latter whenever he comes over. He had thought that the latter was just a rich second-generation brat.

He didn't expect Eric to be so easygoing, and he didn't even want to check the accounts of the hotel and just told him to continue to manage it.

Eric on the other hand sighed as he walked out of the hotel. He couldn't care less about the shocked faces of Amelia and the others.

He didn't even want to think about it as her appearance disgusted him.

"Hey, where the heck do you think you're going?" Amelia's yell suddenly came just as Eric stepped out of the hotel.
