"I thought you'd chicken out, hooligan." Evelyn's cold voice came just as Eric was wondering how he should escape.

"Why would I chicken out when I have a beauty like you accompanying me? I'd rather court death than miss the chance to spend time with you." Eric grinned as he walked towards Evelyn.

"You'd better stop saying nonsense!" Evelyn glared at him as her face turned red in embarrassment.

"Chief, why are we taking him along, he'll just be a distraction?" One of the police officers, a tall muscular man, frowned as he looked at Eric with disdain.

"None of your business." Evelyn sneered and got into the van alongside the others.

Soon, the van arrived at the outskirts of the city after about a 30 minute drive. Soon, an uncompleted building came into view and the Van parked a few distance away from the building.

Getting down from the Van, Evelyn and the other police officers move stealthy toward the building, according to their sources, the drug transaction should have begun.

Only Eric strolled towards the building, ignoring all the absurd gazes of the others. With his powerful intuition which came alongside the constitution, he could tell that something was wrong, thus he didn't bother.

Soon they got to the entrance of the building, currently, there were only about fifteen police officers, adding Evelyn to the fray, and then with Eric, they were sixteen.

All the others brought out their guns and cocked them as they stood at the entrance in vigilance.

"Hehehe, there's no need to be so hostile when visiting someone else's house." A loud chortle came from within and immediately, about twenty armed men rushed out of nowhere and pointed their guns at the police officers.

Evelyn's expression changed upon seeing this and immediately, she knew that they had been busted. But there was nothing she could do about it, there was no way they could fight their way out.

"Slowly, she put down her gun, and the other police officer followed suit and raised their hands putting it behind their head.

"Brothers, escort our guest in." The voice came again and immediately the door of the building opened.

Evelyn and the others walked into the uncompleted building slowly and looked around.

Inside the building was a chair, and a table. One was seated by an average-looking man. Beside him were two other people who had their guns cocked and pointed at Evelyn and the others.

"Evelyn, I didn't expect you to be so eager to catch me." The man grinned as he looked at Evelyn.

"You wouldn't get away with this!" Evelyn gritted her teeth as she said stubbornly.

"Nope, it's not that way. It should be the other way around. You wouldn't be getting out of here instead." The man grinned.

"You see you've been a hindrance to my business, so there's no need to keep someone like you alive." The man shook his head as he said slowly.

"First, I'll kill your colleagues, then I'll let my men play with you for seven days and nights."

"I'll let you enjoy what's called absolute pleasure." The man grinned evily as he looked at Evelyn.

"You don't have to do this. You can kill me, but you should let the others go." Evelyn said with gritted teeth.

"Nope, that's not the rule here." The man shook his head.

"Hey, read out the rules." The man turned to one of his men and commanded.

"Rule five section one, states that: Anyone who crosses the boundary of the gang who is not a member or comes for trade wouldn't be allowed to leave unless he joins the gang. And in the case where the other party is unwilling, he'll go meet Hades in the underworld."

The man read out almost immediately.

"You see, I'm not the one who made the rules, that's how it is. So in your case, you all have to meet Hades tonight." The man smiled.

Evelyn gritted her teeth upon hearing this. She knew that there was no way she would be able to escape. At the moment, she could only regret bringing these policemen with her and the Hooligan who had a glib tongue with her.

None of them deserved to die and even if she was killed a hundred times, it wouldn't justify the fact that they had been killed because of her.

But then, she couldn't understand how he had known that she was coming. The police operation had always been top secret.

"How did you know that we were coming?" Evelyn gritted her teeth as she asked.

"Isn't it obvious, there's a mole in the police?" Eric Shrugged as he spoke up.

"Very good boy, you're correct." The man froze for a moment, then he laughed and said.

Evelyn felt a jolt pass through her body hearing what Eric said. She couldn't believe the fact that there was a mole in the police force.

"And can you tell us who the mole is?" The man grinned as he turned to look at Eric.

"Is it that important?" Eric furrowed his brows as he looked at the man.

"If you're correct, I might let you go." The man chuckled.

"Fine, that's the mole." Eric turned around and pointed at the tall muscular policeman who had tried to stop Evelyn from bringing him.

He had already known about this since they were surrounded. While the others displayed an expression of fear, he looked fearless and even though he tried to hide it, it couldn't escape Eric's sharp eyes.

"How dare you accuse him of being a mole, do you even know what you're saying?" Evelyn flew into a rage as she scolded Eric.

"You don't need to scold him. He's indeed right, he's the one who sold you all for a million dollars." The man chuckled as he pointed at the policeman Eric just pointed at.

Evelyn froze as she turned around to look at the policeman. Much to her shock, he had no look for regret, or fear in his eyes.

"Why... did you do it?" Evelyn's body trembled in anger as she looked at him.

"Why shouldn't I do it? Would this lousy Police job let me buy a house, or make me rich?" The man sneered.

"Besides, you've always stolen the limelight and been putting us all in your shadows, do you think I want to remain in the shadows all my life?"

"Just because you're a little bit more capable than us, that doesn't mean you get to order around as though we are your slaves."

"Let me tell you, I've already received the money so all of you must die here."

Evelyn's mind shattered as she looked at the man, at the moment, he had a crazed smile on his face as he looked at Evelyn and the others as though they were dead meat.

"Beauty, what are you willing to offer me if I help you capture that man." Eric suddenly spoke turning to Evelyn as he pointed at the man sitting on the chair.

What's The Price?"Huh?" Luna froze the moment she heard this, not believing her ears.Raising her head slowly, she stared at Eric, blinking rather blankly as though she couldn't understand what he had just said."You don't need to be confused; I'm telling the truth," Eric continued, as he couldn't care less about the look on Luna's face."If you're not here to take me back, then how did you know my real name?" Luna challenged, seemingly not believing what Eric had said."Some things are better left unknown," Eric chuckled, shaking his head.He couldn't possibly tell her that he had a system, and the system had told him all about her life and the reason why she ran away from home to become an assassin.Luna's expression changed hearing this. Though she was already expecting Eric to say something like that, actually hearing that made her feel somehow. But then there was nothing she could do about it. She was someone without any cultivation; trying to fight or run away would be like try

Luna Hall "Cough! Cough!" Eric coughed slightly, coming back to his senses.Seemed like things were not going to develop in the direction he wanted. Besides, if he was to take this girl into his harem, wouldn't that mean he would somehow offend the Beyonders?Besides, if she was from a family of immortals, why in the hell was she working as an assassin?Something was wrong. Recently, he had not yet provoked or called much attention to himself to cause people with the ability to hire immortals, right?Or could this just be a side gig for her, and her family didn't know about it?A lot of thoughts rummaged through Eric's mind as he started to overthink things. He was not too sure of what he was seeing.Well, seems like it was not as simple as it was on the surface."Hey, what are you thinking about? Hurry up and let me go." Luna's voice came, pulling Eric out of his thoughts."Sure," Eric agreed, withdrawing his aura almost immediately. This girl's family was a little bit formidable; h

BeyondersThe rest of the journey proceeded peacefully. No one attacked, nor were there any other assassins who made a move. They were no fools and could tell that something was wrong with Alex and Avery."Finally," Eric stretched lazily, alighting from the train. It was already dark, and they would have a bit of a problem finding their way around."Sir, we've already made reservations at the nearest building to the beach," Alex spoke at this moment, looking over to Eric.He and Avery had returned their weapons to Eric, who kept them in his storage ring. There was no need to walk around with a sword and a katana. It was real, and they could be arrested.Though their positions were a little bit special, they didn't want to blow their cover."A car should be here to pick us up any moment from now," Avery added, looking anxiously at her phone. What they feared most was keeping Eric waiting, and that was exactly what was happening now.Their only wish right now was to strangle whoever was

"Trying to do what I'm supposed to do, of course," Alex rolled his eyes, trying to get past Avery who had blocked him."What the heck do you think you're doing? He has helped us countless times, and yet, this is what you want to pay him with? Are you out of your senses?" Avery's expression darkened, blocking Alex fully. One who didn't hear their discussion fully would think Alex really wanted to assassinate Eric."How dumb are you? This is the best time to get rid of him. Haven't you seen the bounty?" Alex frowned slightly, raising his voice, a hint of annoyance could be felt within it."And how's that my business, I won't let you do anything to him," Avery scowled, also raising her voice, at the same time unsheathing her Katana, ready to face Alex."Move aside, he's an easy target right now, it won't be bad if we just finish him off," Alex spoke again, trying to convince his twin, clearly unwilling to fight her."Stop talking, I won't allow you to do anything to him. And if you must,

"Sir," The twins smiled bitterly after stabilizing themselves, shame washed over them as they couldn't meet Eric's gaze. They were defeated under three moves by the other party. But then, they would want to blame him on the fact the other party used poison.Again, according to a law, all is fair in love and war, so they were still at fault. If it were not for the fact they had attacked suddenly, it was clear they wouldn't have been able to land even a blow. And that was shameful to hear."So have you learnt your lesson?" Eric raised his brows, staring at the twins."Yes sir," The two nodded, recalling all that had happened. They had made quite a few mistakes and they were sure Eric must have realized it, but he didn't tell them because he wanted them to learn the hard way.One of the mistakes they made was not understanding the nature of the attack of the other party.Though they could argue they just met her and there was no chance to investigate. "Sure," Eric agreed almost immediately, taking a plate of food from the lady."And you two?" The lady turned to the twins, brows raised as she seemed to scrutinize them."Nah, we're good," Alex refused, frowning slightly, feeling as though something was off, but he didn't say anything."Alright then," The lady nodded, her smile gentle as she placed back the food on the trolley. But just as she turned away from them, a sinister smile spread out on her face before it vanished almost immediately before walking into the inner compartments."Don't you think that lady was weird?" Alex turned to his twin, his expression unsettling, his mind replaying the scene over and over trying to find what was wrong."Yeah, she gave off a kind of dangerous aura, and I can't seem to fathom what it is," Avery agreed, eyes also squinting as she thought about it."Sir? Don't you find anything strange with that lady?" Alex couldn't finally hold back and turned to Eric who was devouring the food."Of course, t
