CHAPTER 5. He can't believe this.

     " Take good care of it." Lewis reminded his son and gave him one last glance, before he walked out of the house..

Hudson was dumbfounded and couldn't even blink his eyes. 

He wanted to say, ' sorry this is too much, I can't accept this', but the words were difficult to even come out. 

He could only watched till his father and shadow was out of sight. 

It took him some minutes before he composed himself, and immediately, he yelled. 

" Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" 

He couldn't believe his eyes at all. Ever since he had been working with his former boss, Henry, he has been hearing everything news about the golden card but had never seen it. The golden card was a card that was limited to only five people in the country, and it was a card that contained an unimaginable amount! 

The golden card could even purchase the whole Orlando country. But the people who possess it were unknown. And it is very difficult to assess it, even it can't be stolen. 

Hudson's brain summersaulted, when he checked the golden card given to him properly. 

" This is mine?!" 

To him, this was so hard to believe! How could an ordinary man like him own one of the rarest card in the country. Even his boss Henry didn't stand a chance to. 

He looked down at other thing in his hand and raised his brows. 

" A badge to confirm my identity?" He muttered beneath his breathe, as he repeated what Lewis told him. 

Just then, he decided to do something. 

Picking out his phone, he dialed an unfamiliar number. .

" Hello," the call was picked, and a deep voice came through from the other end. 

" James, I need your help on something." Hudson quickly said. He was eager as his whole body was sweaty. He just couldn't wait to get an answer to all his brewing questions. 

" What is it?" The person at the other end replied with an indifferent tone.

Hudson hung up the call and quickly dashed out of his house. He didn't want to keep his friend, James waiting..

Within some minutes, he got to James's place and alighted from the car. 

" Dude, you came here so fast." James squinted his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest. 

" Well, your ass save you. I was about to go out now if I don't see you." 

" Sorry, I really tried to come here on time." Hudson struggled to catch his breath, and he patted his chest lightly. " Thank goodness you haven't left." 

James was wearing a bored expression, so he just looked down at Hudson. " Why do you want to see me?" 

Hudson finally calmed himself down and looked around the neighborhood, before he gestured for the both of them to enter back into the house. 

" I can't tell you out here." 

"Hmm" James was beginning to get suspicious, but he didn't say anything. 

When they got inside, Hudson shut the door and closed the windows, which James couldn't take anymore. 

" What the fuck are you doing? Are you okay?!" 

" Shhh" Hudson placed his finger on his lips and tried to calm James down. 

Immediately, he brought out what Lewis gave him earlier. 

" Can you help me confirm this?" Hudson showed James the badge and the golden card he was holding. 

Instantly, James eyes shone like a diamond, and he flexed his fingers. 

" Where did you get this?" 

" Just do what I ask you to do!" Hudson was getting impatient and couldn't be bothered about anything else. 

" Okay okay, fine then." James took the two things and went to his room. 

Few minutes later, he came back with a flabbergasted and astounded expression. 

" What is it?!" Hudson grabbed hold of his hands and asked immediately. 

James sucked in a deep breath and instantly dropped the two things he was holding. 

" Who is Lewis Dante's son?" 

" Huh?" Hudson was stunned, and he blinked his eyes. " What do you mean?" 

" This badge belongs to Lewis Dante's son, and this Golden card is real! In fact, I can't even count the number of zero in it. 1000000000......." James explained and shook his head at the same time. He was really bewildered....

" You mean.........." Hudson wasn't expecting this, but hearing this from James, he had to believe it! 

Swiftly, he left James house without saying anything again. 

" Hey, where are you going?!" James yelled the moment Hudson rushed out. But there was no reply. 

It didn't take long before Hudson got to his house, and by this time, it was already night fall. 

He was overjoyed with what he just confirmed, and everything started feeling like a dream to him, but he was too tired to think more about anything. 

The instant he got to his room, he just laid down and drifted off to sleep. 

His peaceful snoring mixed with the cacophony of the breeze and the street noise. 

The next day revealed itself crisp and clear. The big flaming ball rose up and bathed the tall buildings in it glory and light, as the clouds drifted lazily around due to the wind.

Hudson peaceful sleep was disrupted, and he groaned with annoyance. He didn't want to wake up for the main time, as he was enjoying his sleep. But the moment he recollected his new identity, a small smile eased down on his lips......

*Ring*

Just then, his phone ranged again, and he picked it up, wondering who was calling him.

" Hudson!" A familiar voice ranged out, that made Hudson to frown immediately. 

" What is it?" From his tone, it was obvious he didn't like the person who called him. 

" Been a while dude." The person didn't care about Hudson's indifferent voice. 

" I know, what do you want?" Hudson wasn't in the mood to exchange pleasantries.

" Hey chill okay. I mean no harm, I just want to inform you that we will be having a reunion party this weekend, as it has been a year since we all left college." The person finally went straight to the point and announced calmly. 

" Okay then." Hudson nodded. 

The call was hung up with no one saying anything, and after that, Hudson sighed. 

He knew the reunion party was going to be also like a competition party, as most of his colleagues were now big boss on their own. 

" I think I should also step up my game." He stroked his chin in thought and tilted his head slightly. " How about I get a car?"
