The leader and his men burst into mocking laughter.

"That's enough of this clown show."  The leader muttered, signaling to his men.

One of the henchmen pulled out a steel pipe, swung it heavily at Benjamin!

But Benjamin’s reflexes were way sharper than everyone could imagine.

He easily moved out of the way with astonishing speed, snatching the weapon mid-swing.

In one smooth motion, he turned around. The steel pipe took down the attacker.

Before any of the others could react, Benjamin had already dropped two more of them with clean, efficient strikes.

Realizing that Benjamin was no ordinary opponent, the leader stepped forward, cracking his knuckles.

He decided to handle Benjamin personally.

This guy’s massive frame and raw power were enough to intimidate anyone—but not Benjamin.

He had already calculated his moves.

As soon as the man moved to lay in his first punch, Benjamin dispatched him with a single powerful kick.

With a big “boom”, the man crashed into the car door!

Bloodied and defeated, he collapsed and slumped to the ground.

Benjamin dusted off his shirt and walked back towards the car.

The remaining henchmen rushed at Benjamin. As he was distracted by another attack , one man picked up a sledgehammer, sand sneaked up behind.

But Benjamin was faster!

He sidestepped the incoming blow, grabbed the distracted henchman, and yanked him in front of him.

The sledgehammer slammed into the wrong target, knocking out the attacker.

During the flashing time, Benjamin grabbed the second henchman from behind, slamming his head into the cold tar.

His movements were sharp and decisive.

Amanda was still seated in shock.

She had witnessed his fighting skills before, but she had never seen him on this level of action before.

Benjamin walked back to the car.

"We may continue on our journey." He opened the door and said it casually.

Amanda stared at him, stunned.

"That was impressive! How did you do that?!" She yelled out, still breathing heavily from the entire encounter.

" Did you recognize any of them?" Benjamin asked when she started driving.

Amanda shook her head.

"Not at all. But I have a feeling all of these is linked to what happened to Eileen's daughter. Our family and Fishers' had been working togethers these days. And we has many enemies, but there is one who is desperate enough to send them after me."

" You think it’s about the poisoning?" He asked again.

“I know it is.” She exhaled. “We’ll find out soon enough. But now, we need to get to the fundraiser first. I need some places to get a proper outfit.”

‘Women…Even after the attack, she focused more on the outfits.’ Benjamin shook his head, amused.

Amanda found a shop. Minutes later, she slipped into a form-fitting, metallic sheath gown that accentuated her curves.

Her brown hair cascaded in soft curls as she walked toward Benjamin.

Benjamin hadn’t bothered to change; he had no plan to make any attentions.

Besides, his outfit was fine for anything.

“You sure you don’t wanna any changes?” Amanda glanced at him.

“What? My suits are fine enough for the occasion.” Benjamin frowned.

Amanda sweeps past his pilling elbow and let out a chuckle.

“If you said so. But you don’t need it anyway.”

They arrived at the nursing home a little bit late. The security team had been stationed outside, waiting for the greeting.

"Welcome, Miss. Amanda.  Welcome, Mr. Benjamin. It’s an honor, Sir. "  The security said, addressing him with unexpected reverence.

Amanda shot him a puzzled glance until they walked inside the building.

The atmosphere was different. The staff treated Benjamin with a kind of respect.

"Welcome back! Mr. Benjamin!" The staff acknowledged him with smiling faces.

Amanda continued to stare at him with surprise.

It surprised her even more when they walked into the hall.

The elderly residents of the nursing home started greeting him with enthusiasm.

"Benny! My dear boy!" An old woman hugged him from behind.

"Hello, Mrs. Cornwell." Benjamin smiled, returning the old lady's hug.

“I knew that was you!” Another elderly man walked up to him wearing a smile.

Soon enough, a small crowd of residents gathered around him.

Amanda watched all this in awe.

She had no idea he was that popular among those elders.

This kind of familiarity didn’t happen overnight. Benjamin must have visited often.

The elderly here were ordinary people, unlikely to bring him any material benefit.

The only reason Benjamin kept coming back was simple: he was genuinely a kind person.

The more she thought about it, the more layers of mystery seemed to surround Benjamin, and her curiosity about him only grew...

As the evening gala began, Amanda stepped away to take a phone call, leaving Benjamin to explore the venue.

Prominent figures started arriving, all eager to fight for ownership of the nursing home’s land.

Benjamin stepped outside for some fresh air.

From his spot by the entrance, he overheard two women talking about the nursing home’s future.

“If any businessman buys it, this place might be torn down,” one of them said.

This new information struck Benjamin roughly.

It was not good news at all to hear that the nursing home was at risk of being brought down.

Just then, a sleek black Rolls-Royce pulled up outside, drawing everyone’s attention.

Word of the restaurant incident traveled faster than wildfire. By morning, the news had filtered through the marble corridors of the city's elite. Shared in whispers at golf courses, murmured at private dinners, and dissected in encrypted group chats that never mentioned names outright but always knew precisely whom they were discussing. Diego Rivera had been humiliated Not just bruised or threatened but publicly dismantled by a man no one recognized, and that made it was. To the uninitiated, it wasn't just a brawl between young men with too much pride. But Rhod,e who understood the game, the ones who dealt in blood-stained money and silent power. At the Rivera estate, chaos reigned behind the wrought iron gates and rose gardens. Don Antonio Rivera, the Mafia Boss of the East, was livid. His face, usually unreadable, was twisted with fury as he paced the sitting room of his private villa. Servants were dismissed. Bodyguards stationed at every exit. His son, bruised and hunched o

Diego's sneer twisted into a full scowl as Benjamin took a quiet, deliberate step forward. “Teach this trash a lesson,” Diego snapped, waving a hand towards his bodyguards Two of them stepped forward without hesitation, towering figures in black suits. They looked more like small mountains than men. Expressionless, built like tanks, trained to end a confrontation in under a minute. One cracked his knuckles. The other tightened his gloves, eyes locked on Benjamin as if sizing him for a grave. The restaurant fell silent. Plates and cutleries stopped clinking. Conversations died. People leaned back in their seats, slowly, nervously trying to put distance between themselves and the incoming storm. Benjamin stood still. To the casual observer, he looked like a man resigned to his fate. His shoulders relaxed, his hands loose at his sides. But something about his stillness was unsettling. There was no fear in his eyes. No panic. Only calculations. Emily felt her breath catch in her thr

The sharp edge in the man’s voice brought Marcus to an abrupt halt just as he began dialing.“Before you go making any decisions that might waste my precious time,” the man said, his grin widening with devilish satisfaction, “why don’t I properly introduce myself?”Marcus lowered his phone slowly, his gaze narrowing with mild curiosity and irritation. He crossed his arms, the muscles in his jaw tightening.“This should be good,” he said with a cocky smirk, the air around him thick with bravado. He wasn’t the type to be easily impressed, certainly not by some loudmouthed stranger throwing his weight around. But the man stood taller, with a smugness that oozed confidence. His presence alone was unsettling, and something about his gaze said he was used to getting what he wanted.“My name,” the man began, his voice dropping slightly in pitch, “is Diego Rivera. Son of Antonio Rivera. I’m sure you’ve heard the name.”The second the name left Diego’s mouth, Marcus felt a jolt, like ice water

He turned to Emily with a self-satisfied smile that practically glowed with pride."Are you okay?" he asked, reaching for her arm and brushing imaginary dust off her shoulder. It was a gesture done more for show than out of concern.Emily nodded, still trying to piece together what had just happened. Marcus had fought for her. Her. "But you, what did you do? The first chance you got, you put my brother in a hospital." Emily’s voice trembled with both anger and disbelief. "You are despicable, Benjamin. I don’t even want to see your face right now."Her sudden and fierce defense of Marcus caught him by surprise—but more than that, it thrilled him. Marcus’s lips curved into a smug smile as his ego inflated. He took her words as a badge of honour, convinced he had automatically won her heart."The lady has spoken," Marcus said, stepping forward with theatrical flair. "And I couldn’t have said it better myself."He gestured around them with a flourish. “Look around, Benjamin. This isn’t just any restaurant—it’s one of the finest, most prestigious establishments in the entire city. I brought my fiancée here for lunch.”He let the word fiancée hang in the air like a dagger."A man of your social class would never even dream of setting foot in here. In fact, I highly doubt you’d have made it past the entrance if Emily’s

Instead, he tilted his head slightly, lips curling into a sneer. "No, Benjamin. You’re the one still dreaming of having Emily around—still aching from the sting of her leaving you. And now that she’s finally seen you for what you are, you feel humiliated."A nerve twitched in Benjamin's jaw. He clenched his teeth and stepped forward. "I have no interest in what Emily does with her life anymore. If she believes you’re the better option, then perhaps she’s more naive than I gave her credit for," he said through gritted teeth. Before anyone could react, Emily flung the glass of water sitting beside her across the room, hitting Benjamin squarely in the chest. The entire room fell silent as the water trickled down his shirt.Benjamin paused, stunned. Then, without a word, he reached for a napkin and began patting
