Volume 2. Chapter 16 Deadlock

Erick was very happy to hear his daughter confession, but he didn't show joy on his face.

“Maybe this is the punishment…” Erick said it with a voice that was so sad.

"Punishment?" Livia didn't understand what her father meant.

At night, at her father's request. Livia looked after the mother, while her father would rest in another room.

Livia was still awake and holding her mother's hand.

Livia thought it was her father, she opened the door and what she saw was not her father.

"Has your mother been given medicine?"

“There is no one drug that makes it better,” Livia said that she was also confused about how the masked person got in.

"But who are you? Why do you come to our house at night, do you want to steal?” Liva didn't dare to spread her arms to protect her mother.

"There's no need to be afraid, Miss Livia, I'm not a bad person. Or rather, no longer has any intention to be evil.”

“….” Livia saw the person leaving the room and peeked to make sure the person had left. She no longer saw the masked man after leaving the room.

In the morning Livia woke up, because she heard her mother crying.

“….” Didn't expect her mother to regain consciousness and not be skinny.

In the afternoon, Zein, his wife, and his children arrived in the Gerna kingdom. Zein saw that his old sister was fine.

In the afternoon, Queen Amira invited Erick's family and Zein's family, Nita, Sara, Lina and Leon.

"Miss Amira, so what made you call us?" Lina was so curious.

“This is to discuss the hero as well as the three of them.” Queen Amira informed.

"What do you mean my queen?" Leon was curious about what his queen said.

“Is there any power in the world to bring them back?” Queen Amira wanted to make sure first.

“Magic to return heroes to their home world exists, but it requires at least a hundred sorcerers who are above royal magic level,” Leon informed.

"Queen, perhaps you want to bring them back?" Zein said what he caught from the conversation.

“Quite the opposite,” Queen Amira informed.

"So, queen want to keep them and the heroes from returning to their original world?" Nita wanted to make sure her words and thoughts were correct.

“Exactly, can you guys help? Especially to you, Miss Clara." Queen Amira asked for their help and told Clara.

" Can I talk?" Tiara raised her hands parallel to her shoulders.

"No need for permission, Miss Tiara...And I want none of you to speak formally to me." Queen Amira informed.

“Will that make them happy? Don't they have a family in their world?” Tiara's words made Amira aware of her selfishness in trying to keep the hero and the three of them from going home.

"In the past, Older brother's once discussed their families," Zein spoke up.

"When?!" Clara was surprised that only Zein was told.

"It's been a long time, I don't know exactly when but...they want to go home, Old brother Vail lives with his grandparents, while brother Vail's father and mother are gone," Zein said.

"Brother Rii said, he missed his father mother and little sister. Meanwhile, Cini's brother is worried about his mother, because the father is no longer alive."

"They all have their own families." Amira became so guilty about her desires.

"Zein, did Vail's brother tell you why his father and mother died?" Clara wanted to know, she didn't think that Vail had experienced something so difficult.

"Brother Rii and brother Cini said, that Vail's parents were gone. Because their house was broken into by robbers," Zein said.

"Robber?" Leon was very curious about the sentence he had heard for the first time.

"Robbers is bandits who take our property and goods," Zein told us.

“Then, we change the plan of making them stay to having them return home.” Queen Amira was excited again.

"It would be better for me to be sad because they return home to where they came from than for them to die in the world to which they were called."

They saw the queen's eyes glaze over, thinking briefly. If the queen sacrifices her wish to make Vail return to his real family.

"I also agree with you queen."

“Clara, are you serious?” Erick was really worried this time, and he had learned a lesson from the previous incident.

“This is our world, we should be the ones to solve the problems in our world. But instead, we asked outsiders who don't know anything to handle this…”

Hearing Clara's words made them think they agreed with the idea that Clara put forward.

Ledrik said that King Ligt, Demon King Lina, and Demon King Neii could help the palace magicians make magic for their three uncles again.

“Stupid humans, and the other races with them..on the orders of the ancestors, because you failed to kill the three heroes who were hiding. With this, the final battle for you will be declared again."

Such a terrifying voice was heard throughout the kingdom, not a single person escaped the voice of the ancestor's loyal subordinate.

The voice disappeared along with the evil voice.

The situation became panic, and unity became chaotic. All the kings met again, this time with the hero Mansa present in their midst.

The Gerna Kingdom was the same, Vail, Rii, and Cini returned home after hearing the sound that sounded in the sky.

“War is just around the corner, the ancestral army has so many numbers. Can we win?” King Ligt became less confident.

“….” No one was able to say, because they were aware of the power.

“Then we will sacrifice ourselves, and bring—”

"Enough Vail, mother doesn't want you to make sacrifices for our world." Queen Amira doesn't want Vail or them to die.

"You and your friends have family in that world, as a mother...I want my child to come home safely." Amira held back her tears.

“Then how about asking that person for help?” Neii asked his question.

Etina appeared in their midst and agreed with Neii's words.

To their surprise, Etina agreed to the suggestion. Previously they were so sure that they didn't want to involve that figure.

"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that…” Etina was confused.

“Lord Etina, previously you were unwilling to agree to the demon king Neii's suggestion. But now you agree to it.” Vail informed.

"Previously? This is the first time I've appeared outside the forest." Etina told the truth.

"Just this once?" Rii was surprised to hear that.

“Well Etina, me, Rii, and Vail were told by the king and queen that you came here while we were away. Then you seemed to refuse to involve the masked person." Cini told what they heard from the queen and king.

"I mean it if this is the first time, I appear outside the forest. I was also very curious about who the mysterious masked person was." Etina told them.

“What does all this mean? Doesn't that mean that Lord Etina who came two years ago was a fake?" Queen Amira thought so hard.

“If that's true, what's the purpose of the impersonator?” Glen was so curious.

They were busy with this conversation, and the atmosphere in the palace became chaotic. They argued with each other to do their best, Vail even got annoyed with Lina and insulted and belittled Lina.

“I let you live because I took advantage of you!” Vail was so annoyed with Lina.

Not only Vail, Cini, and Rii also cornered Lina. Because Lina was unable to protect Cindy and Una.

"Brother..." Clara and Zein were surprised to see Vail who could get angry and look down on other people.

“Prince Vail, haven't you—”

“It's okay, Leon. Besides, what he said was true, I had made a deal with my life as collateral, I was asked to protect their family but I couldn't do it properly." Lina wanted her husband not to make things worse.

Hearing the decision, Clara and Zein asked their three older siblings to revoke or lighten the sentence.

Lina, who was asked to die on the battlefield later, could only remain silent in shock. Vail was the person who saved her, and the second human she loved.
