"Lux Arden! Are you crazy? You actually hit me for this bitch!"

"Anyone who dares to hurt her deserves nothing but death!" Lux Arden's cold words made Seraphina tremble with fear, biting her lips tightly and not daring to say a word.

Ava was shocked by the scene in front of her. She had always seen how good Lux Arden was to Seraphina.

But today, Lux Arden actually hit Seraphina for her, which made Ava feel a little confused.

But what surprised her even more was yet to come. Lux Arden actually knelt down in front of her in front of everyone!

Ava was so surprised that she covered her mouth with her hands, her eyes widened in disbelief.

The onlookers were also stunned by this sudden turn of events.

"Do you remember the beggar who almost froze to death on Marlowe Street ten years ago?" Ava frowned and thought carefully, then looked at Lux Arden in surprise and said,

"It's you?" Lux Arden nodded.

"Ava, will you marry me? I promise to make you the happiest woman in the world!" Lux Arden's eyes were burning, his face sincere and serious.

Ava didn't know what had gotten into her, but she nodded in agreement.

Seraphina went crazy and screamed, "Okay, Lux Arden, how dare you embarrass me in front of so many people!"

She struggled to get up from the ground and pointed at Lux Arden, cursing, "Now get back here and kneel in front of me and apologize, beg for my forgiveness! Otherwise, when I see the mighty Black Dragon Sentinel, I will make sure he puts you in prison for life!" Lux Arden didn't even look back, he just coldly said one word.

"Get lost!"

He had long been fed up with Seraphina and her family's rude and overbearing behavior.

If it weren't for his vow to repay his benefactor, he would have left long ago. Now that the truth was revealed, he had no intention of dealing with Seraphina again.

In his eyes, Seraphina was no different than an ant, not worth his attention.

He gently took Ava's delicate and white hand, "Ava, I know a bit of medicine, I should be able to help. Let's go see my mother first." Ava, who was still in a daze, nodded blankly and was led into the car by Lux Arden, heading towards the hospital.

Behind the car, Seraphina, who still felt resentful, rushed onto the road and shouted, "A beggar and a cheap woman who pretends to be innocent and steals other people's husbands, you will not have a good end!"

"Just wait and see, I will make you come back and kneel down to beg for my forgiveness, like a dog!" Lux Arden's car had long since driven away, leaving only a trail of smoke and Seraphina standing alone in silence.

Marlowe City, First Hospital.

In the corridor, a beautiful but still childish young woman sat alone in a wheelchair, her face pale and her body trembling uncontrollably.

"Salome, what are you doing here? Where's Mom?" Ava saw her younger sister Salome sitting alone in the corridor and asked in confusion.

"Sister!" Salome saw her sister Ava and couldn't help but burst into tears.

"Salome, what's going on? You have to explain clearly, don't scare your sister." Seeing her younger sister in such a distressed state, Ava was completely flustered.

"Mom just had a sudden cardiac arrest, it was so close! It was so close... Sister, I'm so scared. I'm so Scared that Mom will leave us just like that. Dad is already gone, and I.."

Ava held her sister's head in her arms, gently stroking her hair with trembling hands, comforting her incessantly.

"It's you! What are you doing here!"

"You get out of here, do you hear me? Leave immediately!" Seeing Lux Arden, Salome's bright eyes seemed to burst into flames, as if he wanted to swallow Lux Arden alive.

Salome tightly gripped the wheelchair, with blue veins bulging on the back of her white and tender hands.

Lux Arden was not surprised by Salome's attitude. Although he did not force Salome to jump off the building, he was partly responsible for the incident.

"Salome, don't get agitated. He just wants to take a look at Mom, I'll let him go now." Ava hurriedly stepped forward to appease her.

"Ava, actually I can..."

"What Ava? Did you call her that?"

Just as Lux Arden was about to suggest to Ava to let him take a look at Salome's injuries, he was interrupted by Salome's angry shout.

"What are you arguing about? Do you know this is a hospital?" An elderly man dressed as a doctor came out of the ward with a serious expression and gave the three of them a stern rebuke.

"Wynn, we're sorry. We won't do it again. How's my mom doing?" Upon seeing Ava's apologetic attitude, Wynne the Divine Physician's expression softened a bit.

However, when Ava's mother's condition was mentioned, his brows furrowed again.

"I managed to save her life, but her health has deteriorated significantly. You need to be mentally prepared," Wynn warned.

Ava bit her lip and pleaded, "Wynn the Divine Physician, please, you have to find a way to save my mother."

Wynn shook his head and sighed, "I'm afraid there's nothing more I can do for her. Unless my master can come back to life and perform the Nine Palaces Revival Technique, there's only a slim chance."

The sisters were stunned and devastated upon hearing this. Tears welled up in their eyes.

"Don't worry, let me take a look at your mother first," Lux Arden said, trying to ease their sadness.

Wynn looked at Lux Arden skeptically, "Are you a doctor?"

"I guess you could say that."

"What do you mean 'guess'? Which medical school did you graduate from, and how long have you been

practicing medicine?" Wynn was displeased with Lux Arden's casual tone and wanted to know who his teacher was.

He couldn't believe that someone would treat the profession of medicine so lightly.

"I didn't attend medical school. I learned from my master in the mountains for three years," Lux Arden replied frankly.

"This is outrageous! How dare a quack village doctor like you treat people's lives!"

"Who do you think you are, treating people without proper medical training?"

"Get out!" Wynn was furious.

As a physician with many years of experience, he despised rural doctors like Lux Arden.

One by one, these swindlers caused countless broken families and ruined lives.

Upon seeing this, Ava was afraid that Wynn the Divine Physician would leave in anger, so she quickly apologized.

"Wynn the Divine Physician, please calm down. He's only here to visit my mother, I'll make him leave right away." Wynn the Divine Physician snorted coldly and said no more.

However, Lux Arden anxiously pleaded, "Ava, please believe me. I can use the Nine Palace Revival Technique to save your mother. I can cure her."

Upon hearing this, Selma frowned slightly and said, "Come on, Mr. Joe, it's nothing serious. Don't make a big deal out of it." Mr. Joe, he housekeeper, retorted with a serious expression, "Miss, how can you say it's not a big deal? You are the young lady of the prestigious Bowen family! You were trapped in a fire and almost died. How can that be considered a small matter?" "Next time, you can't go out alone. You must have bodyguards accompanying you!" "Let's go back to the mansion now. We need to call all the renowned doctors in Marlowe to have a consultation and make sure there are no hidden dangers." The Thompson sisters realized the identity of the stunning woman in front of them. In the entire Marlowe city, only the first family, the Bowen family, could have such a grand scene and casually use a private helicopter. The woman in front of them must be Selma Bowen, the apple of the old patriarch's eye and the Bowen family's young lady who was praised as a goddess by the

Two stunning beauties, with despair on their faces, were driving Lux Arden away, having completely lost the courage to continue the struggle. They were ready to accept their fate calmly. However, Lux Arden frowned and whispered, "Don't give up so easily. We will definitely find a way to escape." The beautiful woman shook her head tearfully and replied, "What else can we do? Jump off the building? It's more than twenty floors high. Even if the fire department puts out safety airbags, it won't help. We are at a dead end." She burst into tears again. However, this simple sentence awakened Lux Arden. Because Ava had once said that she didn't want to be besieged by the media and just wanted to live a peaceful life. Therefore, Lux Arden had been thinking only of rescuing people discreetly, avoiding exposing his identity and using force. But the situation in front of him was extremely critical, and he couldn't afford to hold back anymore. Moreover, with his current appe

Instead, she pushed her to the ground and spat, "You lowly bastard, you still want to fight with me? Just lie here and wait for retribution!" With that, she turned around and walked away in anger. Ava was furious and tears streamed down her face. She hated herself for being so weak that she was dragged out by Calista and left Salome in danger. She instinctively reached out her hand, waiting for Lux Arden to help her, but in the next moment, she was horrified to find that Lux Arden had disappeared. "Lux Arden!" Ava shouted his name hoarsely, as if going crazy, wanting to rush into the fire. But she was stopped by the security guards and later dragged to the safe zone by the firefighters who had finally arrived. At this time, Lux Arden had already rushed into the thick smoke of the mall. Due to the explosion and fireworks, the visibility was extremely limited, a

Lux Arden became interested when he heard that there was going to be a class reunion. Although he had often seen Ava during the years he pursued Seraphina, they had not spent much time together. Recently, they had been spending more time together, but he only knew about Ava's family situation. He knew very little about her past. The class reunion was a good opportunity for him to get to know her better. So he urged her, "Go, it's been so many years since we've seen each other, we should catch up." "Besides, I can also chat with your classmates and hear your stories from the past." Ava blushed and scolded him, "It's just some ordinary days of studying, what stories could there be?" Although she now lived under the same roof as Lux Arden, she still felt a little shy at the thought of her youthful past being revealed to him. When Calista saw that Lux Arden had agreed for Ava, and Ava had not objected, she was extremely excited and said, "Great, then it's settled. You mu

Ava's generosity and tolerance were well-known to Louis. Upon hearing her words, he couldn't help but feel grateful and shed tears of appreciation. However, even though Ava had spoken, he still didn't dare to stand up. After all, these troubles were caused by him, and he should apologize. Plus, Lux Arden hadn't spoken yet, so he didn't have the courage to stand up. He could only kneel on the ground silently without saying a word. There were already many onlookers outside the shop, and now more and more people were gathering. They pointed and discussed the matter, causing a commotion. Ava saw that the situation was getting out of hand and quickly nudged Lux Arden, indicating that he should resolve the matter as soon as possible. Lux Arden snorted coldly and said, "Get up. If there's a next time, I won't be lenient!" Louis couldn't believe his ears. He opened his eyes wide and looked at Lux Arden gratefully. But Lux Arden continued to speak harshly, urging hi

Lux Arden was not moved by the wealthy woman's plea for mercy, and his face became even colder. He said calmly, "Don't worry, I have no use for your worthless life." "I have promised my family's Ava that I won't take lives easily. Now, I just want you to fulfill our bet." "You said the bracelet was too big to swallow, so I ground it into powder for you." "Now that you still refuse to eat it, do you think pretending to be pitiful will help you escape?" Lux Arden glanced at the pale-faced woman and urged her, "Besides, aren't you fond of money?" "Aren't you even a little curious about what it's like to taste one billion dollars?" The wealthy woman's face was as bitter as if she had swallowed several pounds of bitter herbs. She did love money, but she was not stupid enough to risk her own life to satisfy her curiosity! However, she didn't dare to argue with Lux Arden's at this moment, and could only keep kowtowing and begging for mercy. Louis, who was standing aside, st
