The younger sister fell to her knees with a thud, pleading, "We won't do it again, Mr. Elliott, please spare us."

However, Elliott Kane only scowled and said, "Didn't I tell you to run? Can't you understand?" The younger sister cried and shook her head in fear,

"Mr. Elliott, we really won't do it again." Elliott Kane narrowed his eyes, looking impatient.

He kicked the younger sister to the ground and raised his golf club again, swinging it towards her legs.

Just as the younger sister's legs were about to be hit, the office door was smashed open with a bang.

A burly man rushed in like a cannonball and collided with Elliott Kane, sending him flying into the air and crashing onto the desk, causing him to grimace in pain.

Several bosses rushed forward to help, struggling to pull Elliott Kane out from under the burly man.

But just as Elliott Kane regained his footing, he heard Maddox's terrified voice.

"Boss, he's... he's dead."

Enraged, Elliott Kane kicked Maddox in the face, breaking his nose and causing blood to flow down his face.

"You're the one who's dead, you useless dog who can't even speak," Elliott Kane yelled in anger.

The other bosses were too scared to speak, but then a deep, magnetic voice spoke up.

"Are you Elliott Kane?"Everyone turned to see a tall man standing at the door.

"Who the f*ck are you?" Elliott Kane asked rudely.

The man chuckled. "You don't need to know who I am, and you're not worthy of knowing." Several big shots began to curse at the man's impudence.

"Who the hell are you talking to?"

"You piece of sh*t, don't you know where you are? How dare you come here and act tough in front of Mr. Elliott!"

"Why waste time talking to him? Let's just chop him up and feed him to the dogs!" Elliott Kane remained silent, but his face had turned dark and he was clearly contemplating murder.

The bald man stepped forward and said, "Mr. Elliott, this guy is Lux Arden. He owes us money and he even injured several of our brothers."

Lux Arden nodded and sneered, "Ah, I was wondering who it was. So you're the son-in-law of the Thompson family."

"Mr. Elliott, don't waste time talking to this bastard. Let me tear him apart," the bald man said, eager for revenge.

Elliott Kane agreed, "Okay, go ahead. Just remember to go easy on him." The bald man was confused.

"Don't let him die too quickly," Elliott added, sitting back in his chair with the calmness of a mountain.

The bald man nodded heavily with a sudden realization, grinning fiercely. He clenched his fists, making his knuckles crackle, and walked towards Lux Arden.

He was one of the most capable men under Elliott's command, known for his brute strength in the underground world of Marlowe City.

He had once fought fiercely with others for territory and people, even tearing off someone's arm with his bare hands.

It was he who had led his men to Monroe's house to sign the loan contract with Lux Arden.

He thought it was just a small contract and planned to use his usual method of collecting three percent interest per day and collecting the debt after a week.

But to his surprise, all the men he sent out came back with bruises and swollen faces, and they not only failed to collect the debt but also had to pay three thousand dollars for mental damages.

He became the laughingstock of the company and was severely scolded by Elliott Kane himself.

He had wanted to teach Lux Arden a lesson many times, but was sent overseas by Smith Kane due to the obstruction of the group's overseas business.

He had just returned to Marlowe recently.

He was planning to teach Lux Arden a lesson when he suddenly saw Lux Arden coming to him.

He was overjoyed.

Today, he would show those who had mocked him behind his back what would happen to those who offended him!

"Kid, you must have been blind in your past life to offend someone like Elliott Kane. It's not something you can afford to do." The bald man didn't waste any more words.

He shot out like an arrow and grabbed Lux Arden's neck. After successfully catching him, the bald man was surprised to find that Lux Arden was not as skilled as he had thought.

He had expected Lux Arden to have some ability if he was able to injure his men, but he was easily caught and vulnerable.

Seeing that Lux Arden was powerless, the bald man felt bored.

He began to think about how to torture Lux Arden to vent his anger with Elliott Kane.

But then, Lux Arden lifted his hand slowly. He opened his five fingers and struck the bald man's face with a slow and deliberate motion.

The bald man looked down on Lux Arden and thought he could easily dodge the attack. However, he found that he couldn't move at all!

At that moment, Lux Arden's palm struck him and he was sent flying. He crashed into the wall like he had been hit by a heavy truck.

"Boss, he's dead," Maddox said as he covered his nose and approached cautiously.

Everyone was confused. They had only seen the bald man charge at Lux Arden and then get slapped away.

Was he really dead?

It was too strange. Elliott Kane frowned and shouted, "Whoever kills this kid will get the bald man's territory!" A burly man stepped forward confidently and said,

"Boss, l'll kill him!"

Several of Joyce's companions joined in with sneers, looking down at Salome with unfriendly eyes. At this moment, Suzzy curiously asked Salome,"Salome, is she an acquaintance of yours?" Salome reluctantly suppressed his displeasure and replied, "Yes, she's a college classmate of mine, in the same major. It's been a long time since we last met." "But it seems like she's not very friendly towards you. Do you have any grudges between you?" Suzzy asked further. Salome hesitated for a moment and replied, "Not really, we just had some competition during the major evaluation in college. She lost to me a few times and was a bit resentful." "l just didn't expect that after all these years, she still holds a grudge." When Suzzy heard this, a strange color flashed in her eyes, and the smile on her face became even more intense and inexplicable. "Okay, the interview is about to begin. You shouldn't chat here anymore. Go and prepare." Suzzy clapped her hands and dispersed the crowd a

Ava was so angry that she couldn't do anything about Amelia's unreasonable behavior. She took Lux Arden's hand and entered her room, slamming the door shut. Amelia was So anxious when she saw that Ava was alone with Lux Arden in the room that she started to panic. However, no matter how loudly she shouted outside the door, Ava refused to open it. Amelia was so angry that she almost went crazy and fell to the ground, rolling around. But after making a scene for a while, Amelia realized that it was useless since Ava remained unmoved. She got up from the ground and her eyes darted around as she thought that although she couldn't do anything to Ava, it was easy to deal with Lux Arden. So she shouted at Lux Arden outside the door, "Lux Arden, let me tell you, don't mess around! If you dare to touch Ava, I will kick you out of t

Lux Arden felt a warm feeling in his heart when he heard Ava's concern for his safety. However, to avoid worrying her too much and being blamed for his recklessness after knowing the truth, he decided to lie. "Oh, I was just eager to help save Salome. When the fire brigade arrived, I went to help move the fire equipment. The fire is almost extinguished now, so they didn't need me anymore, and that's why l came back." Ava let out a long sigh, pinched Lux Arden's sleeve that had been burned black, dusted off the smoke on his hair, and relaxed her expression. "You really scared me. I thought you went into the fire alone to save Salome. Do you know how worried I was? I was afraid you wouldn't come back." "Fortunately, Sentinel God King appeared and saved Salome. Now that you're back safely, it's a close call, and I can finally relax a bit." Lux Arden frowned at the mention of "Sentinel God King." He didn't expect everyone to give him such a title. However, he didn't care to

Upon hearing this, Selma frowned slightly and said, "Come on, Mr. Joe, it's nothing serious. Don't make a big deal out of it." Mr. Joe, he housekeeper, retorted with a serious expression, "Miss, how can you say it's not a big deal? You are the young lady of the prestigious Bowen family! You were trapped in a fire and almost died. How can that be considered a small matter?" "Next time, you can't go out alone. You must have bodyguards accompanying you!" "Let's go back to the mansion now. We need to call all the renowned doctors in Marlowe to have a consultation and make sure there are no hidden dangers." The Thompson sisters realized the identity of the stunning woman in front of them. In the entire Marlowe city, only the first family, the Bowen family, could have such a grand scene and casually use a private helicopter. The woman in front of them must be Selma Bowen, the apple of the old patriarch's eye and the Bowen family's young lady who was praised as a goddess by the

However, Lux Arden frowned and whispered, "Don't give up so easily. We will definitely find a way to escape." The beautiful woman shook her head tearfully and replied, "What else can we do? Jump off the building? It's more than twenty floors high. Even if the fire department puts out safety airbags, it won't help. We are at a dead end." She burst into tears again. However, this simple sentence awakened Lux Arden. Because Ava had once said that she didn't want to be besieged by the media and just wanted to live a peaceful life. But the situation in front of him was extremely critical, and he couldn't afford to hold back anymore. Moreover, with his current appe
