Chapter 32.

Anna walked into the living room where George was sitting on the couch, reading a book. She looked worried, and George could sense that something was wrong.

"Hey, what's going on?" George asked, setting his book aside and giving Anna his full attention.

Anna took a deep breath before answering. "My foster parents called me today. They're about to lose their bakery."

George raised his eyebrows in surprise. He knew Anna's foster parents had a bakery, but he didn't realize they were struggling.

"What happened?" George asked.

Anna shrugged. "They didn't give me all the details, but it sounds like they're having trouble making ends meet. They sounded really upset, and I don't know what to do.

George nodded, understanding Anna's concern. "Have you talked to your dad about it?"

Anna hesitated before answering. "I don't want to bother him with this. He's already done so much for me, and I don't want to be a burden."
