As soon as the call ended, Shadow began again. He pounced with questions. "Mhm, can someone explain what's going on? Jake..." He drawled, giving him sarcastic glances.

"Ugh!" Jake sighed in irritation. "It's nothing! She's just a friend of Boss's friend," he insisted. But Shadow wasn't having it.

"Suuure," Xander drawled, drawing out the word. The others howled with laughter.

Felix was dumbstruck, looking at the seven of them as they laughed. This was a side he never knew they had. Who would have thought those stoic bodyguards would actually be this playful and lively?

They were now joking and teasing like brothers.

Even Jake, who he had been close to never showed this side to him. He was always just stern and ready for action. Their laughter was infectious, and soon, Felix found himself smiling as he watched them.

The car made a sharp turn to the left which revealed a long driveway to the Kim Mansion. Felix looked at the sides and noticed the grapevines were heavy with grapes a

The golden afternoon sun washed over the sleek new building. Glass panels reflected the light like water, making the structure shine proudly against the city skyline. Elsa stood at the front steps in a white suit, her heart hammering against her ribs. Weeks of hard work. Late nights. Endless planning. And now, it was finally here. The grand reopening of her company. This was not just a building, it was her second chance. People were already gathered outside. Rows of employees, all dressed neatly, smiling, talking excitedly. There were cameras too, journalists waiting to cover the event. It almost felt unreal. Jen stood beside her, wearing a soft blue blazer that matched the theme of the event. She squeezed Elsa’s arm lightly. “Breathe, boss. You’re shaking.” Elsa let out a small laugh, though her throat felt tight. “I’m not shaking,” she whispered. “You are,” Jen teased gently. On the other side, Felix adjusted the cuff of his dark suit. His presence was reassuring, like a wall s

Lena Orlena paced her living room like a storm trapped in a glass box. Her phone was glued to her ear, but all she got was the same dull ringing.“Pick up,” she hissed. “Come on… pick up!”No one answered. She ended the call and tried another number. Then another. And another. Every single one of her contacts at Vasley Cosmetics ignored her.She froze when she saw the headline flashing across her TV screen:“Vasley Cosmetics Faces Liquidation After Market Collapse.”Her stomach dropped. “No,” she whispered. “No, no, no!”The contract with Vasley had been her one lifeline. It was her big chance to rise again after all the scandals, after the bad press, after the agents who quietly stopped calling. She had imagined magazine covers, talk show appearances, and runway returns. And now? It was all gone in one headline.“This can’t be happening,” she muttered, clutching her phone so tight her knuckles turned white. She rushed to her laptop and opened every news site she could find. Vasley’s

The sun dipped lower in the sky, painting the street in warm gold as Elsa and Felix strolled side by side. Their bodyguards kept a discreet distance, blending into the flow of people.Felix carried two cones, handing the one with chocolate swirls to her. “You really dragged me away from work for this?” he teased.“Yes,” Elsa said firmly, taking a big bite of the ice cream with a grin. “You’re always working. You needed a break.”It had been weeks since the gala. As expected, all they did was work and barely had time to chat. Felix had a whole empire to run. It was even worse for Elsa as the building was yet to be completed, so she had to meet up with her employees at different locations. When Elsa had her free time, she decided to drag Felix out of his office.Felix shook his head, but there was amusement in his eyes. “You’re so bossy.”“Someone has to be,” she shot back, tugging him by the sleeve. They walked slowly. The guards kept a polite distance. Felix let himself relax bit by

Elsa sat in the passenger seat, her hands twisting nervously in her lap as Felix drove through the quiet neighborhood. Her heart thudded louder with every turn they made toward Elvis’s house. It had been weeks since she last saw her brother face to face. And now, after everything that had happened, she didn’t know how he’d react.Jen had told her about their conversation over their phones. She felt so bad for him, especially with the shocking news of Felix being the heir all along. She decided to explain everything to him. When the car stopped outside the familiar gate, Elsa exhaled shakily. His Audi A4 was parked there. The porch light was on. He was home.Felix gave her a steady look. “Are you sure you’re ready for this?”Elsa nodded, even though a small part of her wanted to run. “I have to face him. He deserves the truth.”Felix reached out and squeezed her hand gently before she got out of the car. The cool night breeze hit her as she walked up the steps, her stomach twisting. S

Jericho Vasley sat in his wide chair, his eyes fixed on the newest reports spread across his desk. Each sheet screamed the same thing: Losses. His retailers were gone. His distributors were gone. Advertisers gone too.And the worst part of it? Every single one of them was now tied to one name: Glitz and Glamour Cosmetics.Jericho slammed his fist on the desk. “Damn it!” The glass pen holder rattled, a pen rolling to the floor. His jaw twitched as he flipped through the newest reports again, as if rereading them would change the numbers. But it didn’t.His gaze caught on the headline of a trade article:Glitz and Glamour Takes the Market by Storm. His hand tightened around the paper until it tore. “Elsa,” he hissed. “That stupid girl again?”“I made sure she was all locked up at Quiltore Hex, yet Felix was able to come release her quickly. I would have paid more attention if it wasn’t for this damn scandal!” He swore and hurled the paper across the room. He had everything all wrappe

“Elsa!” Jen cried, rushing over the moment she saw her. She threw her arms around Elsa, pulling her into a tight hug.Elsa hugged her back, clinging as if she would never let go. Both of them were already in tears.“Jen!” Elsa’s voice broke with relief, sobbing into her shoulder. “I thought I’d never see you again.”“I knew Felix would find you,” Jen whispered, her own tears falling freely. “He never stopped looking until he did.”Elsa glanced at Felix, who stood a few steps back, typing something quickly on his phone. Just seeing him there made her heart steady. They pulled back slightly but still held each other’s arms, as if afraid the other might vanish.“Tell me everything,” Jen urged. “How did you escape?”“It’s a long story,” Elsa said softly, forcing a weak smile. “Felix outsmarted Vasley at his own game. I’ll tell you the details another time… but right now, I don’t want to think about it anymore.”“You don’t have to,” Jen reassured her. “What matters is that you’re safe.” Sh
