CHAPTER 1

Jack expressed his disbelief while shaking his head as he signed the papers to dissolve his marriage."I comprehend, I comprehend," Sarah uttered, trembling. However, it is the optimal choice to make. We are both more content apart from one another.

Jack was curious about what would happen to them and the life they had built together. His expression showed both sorrow and concern. Sarah exhaled deeply. Doing that now is impossible.

The damage has already been done. "We are unable to revert to the previous state of things."Once the attorney finalized the documents for the divorce, Jack's expression shifted from being sad to being resolute.

He confidently stated that he disagreed with it. "I would like to give our marriage another chance."Sarah was extremely shocked and her eyes widened.

"We have made progress in determining why it is finished."Jack stated that he comprehended. I can't erase the memories of our previous connection. I would like to give it another attempt to see if we can succeed this time.

Sarah was uncertain about what action to take and was considering her options. She believed she had left Jack and their toxic relationship behind, but now that he is expressing interest in reconciling, she is beginning to see a small ray of hope."Sure," she whispered.

"Let's try again."Upon exiting the lawyer's office, they were fully aware of the challenging journey that lay ahead of them. Nevertheless, they devoted themselves to repairing their relationship and building a brighter future as a couple.

However, their assumption was incorrect.Sarah and Jack attempted to leave the past behind and begin anew as time passed. However, before long they reverted to their previous habits, and their relationship became strained again.

They argued about trivial matters and their animosity towards one another, this time around, Sarah has to use this as an opportunity to complete her mission.

Three months letter, Jack found a photo of him and Sarah on their wedding day while looking at old pictures.

He used his finger to feel the shape of her face and felt sad in his heart."I'm sorry, Sarah," he said in a quiet voice. "I apologize for everything."And then, Jack finally stopped holding on to the past.

He let himself feel sad about his marriage ending and losing the woman he loved very much. It was hard, and the pain would never completely go away, but he knew he had to keep going, for himself.

Jack put away the last of the pictures and promised himself to be better and not to take love for granted again. And as he thought about the future with a little hope, he knew that one day, he would be happy again.

Years went by and Jack started to put his life back together step by step. He worked hard and moved up in his job with a lot of focus.

However, even though he was successful, he always felt a little empty inside and like something was missing that he could never fix.

One night, Jack was working late at the office when he got a surprise email. The email was from Sarah. He felt nervous before checking it.

He found a note from his former wife, saying sorry for how their relationship ended and wanting to make things right.Jack was shocked by the unexpected touch, and he couldn't stop feeling curious.

He answered carefully and said he would meet Sarah for coffee the next day.Sarah spoke first as they sat in a small cafe and the air felt tense. "Jack, I'm sorry for contacting you like this."

I couldn't stop feeling like we didn't finish things properly. Jack nodded, thinking quickly about all the ups and downs in their relationship. "I get it," he said, speaking softly.

"I have been thinking about you a lot, and I wonder if we made the right decision. "Sarah had a sad smile on her face and her eyes showed that she was feeling a little sorry about something.

I missed you, Jack. No matter what, I always wished things turned out differently. They talked for a long time, sharing their past mistakes and the hurt they had caused each other. As they said goodbye, Jack felt hopeful.

Weeks went by and Jack found himself getting involved in Sarah's life again. They began meeting up often, talking about the past and sharing what they wanted for the future.

But right when Jack started to think they could be happy again, he got another surprising email. This time, the email title scared him: "From Sarah."Jack was uncertain after reading the email.

The email consisted of a straightforward message: "Jack, I regret to inform you that I cannot proceed with this any longer." FarewellJack rushed to Sarah's apartment, feeling extremely anxious and terrified, only to find that she was not present.

He felt concerned and attempted to contact her, but her phone was switched off. Jack was really worried and wanted to find out where Sarah was.

He asked her best friend Emily for help because he thought she might know where Sarah went. When Emily opened the door, she was surprised to see Jack and her eyes got big.

She questioned, "Why are you here?" with a suspicious tone in her voice."Jack said he needs to find Sarah." "She emailed me to say bye, but I don't know where she went."Emily's face looked kinder as she moved her head from side to side.

I'm sorry, Jack, but Sarah died three years ago. She died in a car crash.Jack felt like everything was falling apart. He felt shocked and couldn't believe it as he tried to understand what was true."But if Sarah is dead, then who." he stopped talking, as he suddenly understood what had happened.

As Jack realized something, he felt a chill go down his back. The person he thought was Sarah, whom he talked to about his feelings, was not real. She was just something he made up in his mind.

Jack was talking to a ghost that represented his guilt and need for closure, which was very surprising. He felt all alone in

the dark and wondered if he would ever feel peaceful.
