Chapter 8: One Surprise After Another

Ethan stared at Milvin in a daze, then hurriedly washed his hands, pulled her back into the room, and instructed her, “Don’t go out like that again next time.”

Even though their house was quite far from the gate and probably no one would see her, Ethan still could not help adding, “You have to be properly dressed before going outside, understand?”

Milvin nodded shyly. Looking at Ethan’s serious, lecturing expression, the hand she had pressed to her chest could not help clenching slightly.

Looking at Milvin standing there, shyly placing one hand over her chest, Ethan only felt that she was incredibly adorable, and also very beautiful. No matter what she wore, she looked irresistibly alluring.

With that, Ethan took Milvin’s hand and led her out.

What was she to Master? She… cooked, did the laundry, cleaned. Was she Master’s servant?

Or, as Master had said, was she some kind of director?

Fortunately, Ethan appeared at that moment, breaking the awkward atmosphere.

“Put the clothes on the table.”

He said this to Robert, then turned to Milvin. “I have to head out now. Wait for me to come back.”

Milvin’s face flushed bright red. She waved back in a daze, watching Ethan’s figure gradually disappear.

“This is quite a surprise, Ethan. When are you going to stop giving me heart attacks? Who is she?”

Robert jogged up beside Ethan and asked.

Ethan cast him a glance. “Didn’t she tell you?”

Robert shook his head. Then he heard Ethan say, “She’s Milvin. My wife.”

Ethan did not even slow his pace.

Robert stared wide-eyed at Ethan. What the hell had Ethan just said? Each word on its own made sense, but put together, it was incomprehensible?!

Robert swallowed and quickly regained his composure, forcing out a wry smile. “Your wife? Since when?”

Ethan replied, “Two days ago.”

Robert: “…Are you kidding me? Or are you asking for a fight?”

At that moment, Ethan suddenly stopped and looked at Robert seriously. “Although this really is a bit abrupt, Milvin truly is my wife. Not officially yet, because we haven’t registered our marriage, but she is definitely my wife.”

Robert: “…She doesn’t even have a legal status yet and you’re already showing off like this?”

Ethan directly swung his fist. Robert hurriedly dodged and chuckled. “Tsk tsk tsk, got a wife and now you’re ditching your friend. Then what about Lily? You were flirting with her pretty enthusiastically the other day.”
