Chapter 5

Take Me Instead

The surrounding noises are vague to Vito as he starts to open his eyes slowly, watching a brute man getting attacked by a masked lady with a Skaletta badge on her right arm, his ailing knee couldn't move due to the impact against the wall. The masked lady punches the brute continuously as brute can't get a chance to hit her back until he lifts her. Brute yells in power, "Haaahh... I hate a cockroach!", he throws her against the wall but she jumps up and uses the wall as an instant support to her gravity and jumps back to sweep kick his face which didn't make an impact on him. 

She gasps before brute grabs her neck and places another hand on it, "Beautiful neck you go-". Brute gets his head shot by Masaf from his back and smirks, "No one hurts my allies. How dare they?". The masked lady unmasks herself as she appears to be Klethi, "Thanks Skargaz Fifth."Masaf rushes to Nasaf and carries him, "If you keep skipping the martial art, that's a disappointment, son.", he slaps Nasaf hard as he wakes up gasping out, "Father!", he hugs him deeply, "You came.". Masaf nods, "Never skip the class. Remember, one day if I die, who will save you? Only yourself and your alliance. Now let's get outta here!". 

Suddenly surrounding doors break out and over 50 brutes break in with sledgehammers. Klethi grumbles and prepares her baton against them until the room starts to fill with red gases that start to turn soldiers into sleeping corpses except Vaan's allies. 

Klethi quickly rushes to Vito and carries him to her shoulder then turns to Masaf, "Let's go, Skargaz.". Masaf nods and carries Nasaf while aiming his gun towards the way, "We gotta go faster!". Suddenly the doors started to close surrounding them as Masaf yells in anger, "Fuck!". A tall evil-looking man with a fierce look, cheeks and chins filled textured with white beard in his mid-30s enters and claps himself with an evil smirk, "I don't need your introduction after hearing your frustration, Skargaz." 

Masaf frowns and aims his gun at him, "I don't deal with infants, unlock the doors or else you will meet my bloody bullets!"Klethi eyes that young man before she identified him in a second, "Is that you, the son of Kriev?". The young man winks at her, "I am Aisen, who aims to take over Skaletta and rule the Bacein on my terms, by killing his son.". 

Klethi immediately gets to secure Vito and aims her arrow against him, "Don't even move!" Masaf grumbles, "You got no idea on what you think you are doing, Aisen!", he pulls up the trigger and shoots him. Aisen's leg spurted out in blood, but he still eyes him like it's nothing, "upgrade your gun". Masaf gasps in shock before Klethi shoots Aisen with an arrow but he catches it and breaks it, "upgrade your eyes". 

Masaf puts his son on the hays and walks against Aisen, "I don't know where Vaan is, but I can kill you myself", he takes off his coat and brings in the offensive stance before Klethi sweeps off Aisen and grabs his arm to twist it but couldn't inflict any pain. Aisen kicks her belly and gets up before getting to push her but she counters his arms and kicks his groin before Masaf grabs his neck to twist it. That's when Aisen's eyes widen and gets out of the struggle quickly and kicks Masaf's abdomen then uses Klethi's arrow to stab her leg as she grunts in pain a lot and gets weakened. 

Masaf takes advantage and punches his face before Aisen's nose starts to bleed and feels a bit weak after the punch until he uses his head to hit Masaf's head.Masaf got his forehead bleeding before he falls unconscious while Aisen yells out, "Boo! See, Vaan?!", he brings out the sharp knife that is too dangerous for a wet tissue to get pierced easily without fail and grabs Vito's neck and puts it before his throat. Klethi sees that moment and screams, "No! You bastard! Don't do that!", she keeps banging the floor and tries to take out the arrow on her leg while she screams in pain. 

Aisen sticks out tongue at her, "Die alone", he turns around, "Come out here, Vaan. Or else say goodbye to your worthless son!". Vaan rushes through the door and pants, "Slow down, don't hurt my son, Aisen!". Aisen laughs out and smirks, "What makes you think I shouldn't? Give me a good reason, Skaletta!". 

Vaan eyes him then to Vito as he sighs slightly, "My son never wanted to engage in politics, he is an innocent lad. Please, killing him won't solve anything.". Aisen grumbles, "Won't solve anything? You know killing him will be same as killing the whole Skaletta? Because you are infertile since my father almost killed you, remember?", he grins.

Vaan looks down and kneels as he eyes him, "Take me instead... of my son".Klethi gasps and shakes her head strongly before she grumbles and tries to stand, "Boss! This isn't like you! What are you doing?!". Vaan turns to her before he aims his other gun at Klethi, "For the first time in your life, Klethi... Shut up". Klethi's eyes were filled with tears and shock as she saw him aiming the gun at her which she never expected while her jaws were shaking in pain, her eyes were filled with disappointment, "Boss, please..."Vaan's cold look as if he meant what he said and shoots her belly as her eyes widens in pain before her eyes closes .Aisen smiles, "Good job, Vaan. You killed your person who has been serving you for ages.", he throws Vito against him and snaps his finger as he whistles, "Gimme your gun, I wanna kill you using your fortune."

Vaan gives him his gun without any second thoughts before he places Vito's head on his lap, "My son... prepare yourself for what's coming... Always be yourself.. okay?", he closes his eyes as Aisen puts the gun against his back, "Skaletta. Turn to me, dammit, I'm not a coward to kill you from back."

Vaan turns to him and glares, "Like you kidnapped a harmless mafia heir with a huge gang?". Aisen grumbles before putting his finger to the trigger. The door smashes as wounded Wasa gasps watching what happens before his eyes, "Boss!"Aisen smirks before pulling the trigger that shoots Vaan's chest as he falls to the ground.

Wasa opens his jaw in shock and grieve after the incident until Aisen aims the gun at him and smirks evil until he pulls the trigger.
