Deserving Peace

Singapore was no longer the beautiful metropolis it was once known for.

The streets weren't how Maxus remembered them to be. Charred stains, trash and debris filled the relatively empty streets with home made weapons like sticks and kitchen knives lying randomly on the floor. Once bustling streets of the average Singaporean neighborhood now looking like an abandoned wasteland with only the occasional civilian spotted roaming the now dangerous streets. Graffiti, which was once almost extinct within the country now more prominent than ever:

ELITISTS ARE RUINING THE COUNTRY.

PRIDE IS OUR DOWNFALL.

Vandalism echoing sentiments of a country's shattered ego were everywhere as Maxus looked out the window of the bus he was on freshly discharged from the hospital with Leah by his side, holding his hand tightly. "Hey, don't look anymore. Just close your eyes and rest, I'll wake you when we reach." Leah tells him, seeing his mood change upon seeing the outside world.
