Dean took one last glance at his life savings, which barely added up to a hundred dollars, crumpled in his palms.

The twenty years old raked his hand through his dark hair, his blue eyes clouded with confusion, as he wondered if he was about to make the right decision.

He took a deep breath."I am sorry, mum, we will be late for rent this month."He said to himself, as he entered the jewelry shop.

He had been planning this moment for weeks, and finally, the day had arrived.

Delilah's birthday was today and he wanted to make it a day she would never forget.

Inside the shop, he was greeted by the owner, Mrs. Thompson. She was a warm and friendly woman who had helped Dean's friends find the perfect gifts for their loved ones.

"Ah, Dean! What brings you here today?" Mrs. Thompson asked, her mind filled with curiosity.

"I'm here to buy an engagement ring," Dean replied in excitement.

Mrs. Thompson's face lit up with a warm smile. "Oh, congratulations, Dean! I'm so happy for you. Let me show you some of our most beautiful rings."

Dean spent the next hour trying on different rings. He wanted Delilah to love it the moment she set her eyes on it.

And finally he found a stunning diamond ring. It was simple yet elegant, with a small diamond nestled in a bed of gold.

He checked the price tag and it displayed $65

"I want this one," he said, placing the ring on the counter.

Mrs. Thompson smiled. " You have a good eye for jewelries, I know your girlfriend will love it."

Dean left the store with the ring safely tucked away in his pocket.

He checked his watch to make sure he was on schedule, because he knew it was unwise to keep a lady waiting.

Minutes later, Dean arrived at Delilah's home where her birthday party was taking place.

At the doorstep, he rearranged his clothes, making sure everything was perfect. Today he had his best clothes on because he couldn't afford to neglect any minor detail.

As he stepped inside the house, his eyes fell on Delilah and as always she looked stunning.

Her caramel-skinned complexion, coffee-brown hair, bright brown eyes, and full pink lips made everyone look a second time every time she passed by.

Dean, despite being a student, engaged in two part time jobs, just to maintain his relationship with her.

However, when Delilah's eyes fell on Dean, she felt kind of embarrassed with the cheap clothes he was putting on, but she pretended to be fine.

“Glad you came,” she forced a smile towards Dean.

Moments later, Dean stood nervously in front of Delilah's birthday cake, his heart racing with nervousness and excitement about what he was about to do next.

As Delilah blew out the candles, Dean dropped to one knee and pulled out the small box containing the engagement ring.

"Delilah, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special," Dean said, his voice trembling with emotion. "You light up my world in ways I never thought possible. Will you marry me?"

The room fell silent, and all eyes were on Delilah. She looked taken aback, and for a moment, Dean thought he saw a glimmer of tears. But then her expression changed, and she looked at him with a serious gaze.

" Sigh… Dean, I care about you deeply, but I need to know that you have a bright future ahead of you," Delilah said, her voice firm but gentle.

"Tomorrow is the ability Awakening ceremony, and I want you to promise me that you'll awaken at least a C-rank strong ability."

The room erupted into gasps and whispers,

"Oh my, he has just been hit by reality." A guest commented with a chuckle.

Dean felt his face burning with humiliation. He had never expected Delilah to respond like this.

Delilah's mother, Mrs. Jenkins, stepped forward, a look of concern on her face. "Delilah, honey, I don't think this is fair to Dean. He's a great guy, and he loves you dearly. Why are you putting so much pressure on him?"

Delilah stood firm, her eyes filled with determination. "Mother, I know what I want, and I'm not going to settle for anything less. Dean needs to prove himself to me, and to the world. If he can't even awaken a C-rank ability, how can I trust him to take care of me and our future family?"

The room fell silent again, and Dean felt like he had been punched in the gut. He had never felt so humiliated and rejected in his life.

He never could have imagined that the ability awakening ceremony tomorrow at the military academy would have anything to do with his future with Delilah.

"But Delilah, I don't know if I can promise that, abilities to be awakened remains a mystery and cannot be determined before hand." Dean said feeling uncertain.

Delilah's expression remained serious. "I'm not asking you to promise me something impossible, Dean. I'm asking you to promise me that you'll try your best. Do everything you can.

We both know that If you awaken at least a C-rank ability, it will guarantee you a spot in the Elite forces of Earth. And that's the only way I'll know that you have a bright future ahead of you."

Dean closed his eyes and took a deep breath. All those years of dating Delilah, he couldn't let it go in vain because of this challenge.

He felt a surge of determination. He loved Delilah, and he would do anything to make her happy.

So he nodded. "I promise, Delilah. I'll do everything in my power to awaken at least a C-rank strong ability tomorrow."

Delilah's face lit up with a radiant smile, and she leaned in to kiss him.

"I know you can do it, Dean. I believe in you."

She sent her hand forward with her fingers spread, and Dean inserted the ring into her finger, then everyone cheered.

This was supposed to be a happy moment for Dean, but as he hugged Delilah, he felt uneasy; what if he couldn't do what was required of him?

However, he made up his mind that he would do everything in his power to awaken a strong ability tomorrow.

Rewards: +2000 Exp 2000/4500))) After the messi, Dean thought to himself, watching Mr. X give him a creepy smile. "That was not a fair fight. He was using an ability. If I wanted, I could have used blood bending on him." The fight had been stopped, and Mr. Leo moved on to the next topic: The Silent Running. "Now, let me tell you the meaning of silent running," Mr. Leo said. "Just from the name, you can understand the basic idea. Ninjas must learn to move in such a way that there is next to zero noise. This is because you could face an opponent with very sensitive ears, or you might one day be in mist traps triggered by noise. Mastering this skill could help you escape. This is one of the most important parts of your training. If you don't succeed with this skill, you might repeat this level." Mr. Leo's gaze fell on Kenneth, who became visibly embarrassed. "Oh boy," Kenneth mutter

He explained the process to Arandy, who agreed despite the potential risks and inconveniences, trusting Dean's judgment and expertise. This crucial ritual took place in an isolated part of the school, away from prying eyes and potential distractions. Dean carefully cut his and Arandy's palms, and held them together, feeling a surge of energy as their blood mingled. After a while, Arandy felt a searing pain on his upper arm, and saw the symbol of a red dragon in a circle of blood emblazoned on his skin."Congratulations, you have created a Blue Mage. One member has been added to the Red Dragon Family," the system announced, its voice echoing in Dean's mind. Blue mages were a unique subclass, capable of copying their enemies' abilities, and

When the test was over, all students were given a strange round object called a pendulum, with a dark mirror at its center. It could be worn as a pendant when touched to the neck for some time or as a watch when touched to the wrist for some time. The device was a medium of communication powered by magic. The students were asked to check their pendulums to know their dorm room numbers. Dean was assigned to dorm room 2500. When he arrived, he thought, "I am sure that boy is the assassin in the prophecy; I must get rid of him on time." But Dean thought otherwise, "Finally, I can get some peace and quiet time for myself after a long stress." As he opened the door to his dorm room, expecting solitude, he was disappointed to find three other boys inside. They were quiet, with looks of shock mixed with fear on their faces."Only when I thought my day was worse, then this happens," Dean said. "Where is my bed?" he asked, and the boys pointed silently. Dean went to his bed and tried to sleep

The first day of school had arrived, and Dean didn't know if he was ready yet. The only reason he decided to go to school was because of the prophecy he got from the witch, Linda."From what that witch told me, there will be a boy coming for the Duchess, so I must get ready for him. I must go to him before he comes to me." The life of the Duchess was in danger, but he had decided not to tell anyone of the prophecy because he never wanted to make the Duchess live in fear.“Well I get to experience how the school system here looks like,” Dean smiled."Dean, are you ready?" Mara's voice sounded from outside Dean's door. "Yeah, I am," Dean replied, standing up, then he went out and met Mara. Both of them went outside to a carriage waiting for them. The Duchess had tears in her eyes as her children were going to be away for a long time, and she would be alone at home. This was because the school had a dormitory where all students lived.
