Chapter 004

“So he bought this apartment and she did too? Ah no way,” Julia shook her head in a daze.

She really couldn't believe that a man like Damian could afford to buy an entire apartment complex and that Damian was actually a really scary person that she shouldn't have touched because Brown had also sent her pictures of his children that he had been hiding from the world, he had also hidden the children from Brown and no one knew that the children were his.

“Don't talk so much, Julia, you better leave now before your children are victimized.” Brown immediately threatened Julia. Brown is actually one of the big thugs in the city, so all this time, Julia has often taken advantage of Brown's kindness to her to act arbitrarily toward the residents of the apartment where she works, as well as being a mistress for the man.

Unfortunately, now all of Brown's thuggery doesn't apply to Damian even though Brown doesn't actually know who Damian is, but the man has an understanding that Damian will never be touched even though Damian is dressed like a helpless, poor soldier.

Meanwhile, in front of the apartment, Alice now looked at the face of her husband, who had disappeared for a long time, with tears in her eyes. “Tell me where you went all this time? Why did you just disappear?!” asked Alice directly because she couldn't hold herself back anymore.

However, before Damian could answer, Alice's cell phone rang.

Damian also gave his wife the code to pick up the call first before he explained everything.

“Hello teacher, what's wrong?”

“What? My daughter got hurt and she also attacked another child?” Alice said, surprised to get a call from her daughter's school.

"Okay, I'll be right there!" 

Damian, who saw his wife pale after receiving the phone call, immediately looked at his wife and asked gently. "What's wrong, honey?"

The gentle question from her husband made Alice feel at ease. The woman's tears immediately fell; in her sobs, Alice looked at Damian. "Dvina has always been insulted because we are very poor. Not only receiving insults because of our difficult situation, but our daughter Davina is also always teased by other children because she doesn't have a father."

His wife's words made Damian's solar plexus ache, and the man felt he had failed to protect his wife and little daughter. 

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault," Damian immediately apologized to his wife.

Alice shook her head. "No, you are innocent. Can I continue telling the story?" Alice said, holding Damian's hand, who wanted to wipe his tears.

Damian could only give a small nod in agreement with his wife's words.

"Davina makes me very proud, she can go to the most elite music school in this city with a scholarship," Alice said with a proud smile. Damian also felt that his daughter must be very talented like him. 

"I started working as the cleaning team there and I brought Davina to work because I couldn't bear to leave her at home. I didn't know that during her time at the school, Davina was paying serious attention to the piano class and after the school was quiet, my little princess sneaked into one of the piano rooms, with her little fingers still stiff, she started pressing the keys hesitantly. However, one of the teachers caught her. At first I was very afraid that she would get into trouble, but who would have thought that your daughter was like a little angel, with her smile and innocence she captured the teacher's heart until the teacher convinced me to try to enroll Davina there, I initially refused but Davina forced me and the teacher convinced me."

"My daughter must be talented," Damian replied with a proud smile.

"You're right she is just like you, but that's also what made her-" Alice now had a sad face. "Her talent eventually made her a target of hatred for rich people's untalented children. As a mother, I couldn't stand that she was so stubborn and convinced me that she was fine there. I used to think where the child's stubbornness came from and now I realize it from you," Alice said, trying to cover up her pain as a mother who could not protect her own daughter, but unfortunately, the tears that kept flowing from her sad eyes could not lie to Damian.

"How dare they hurt my daughter," Damian said with resentment in his heart.

"Let's go there, I came here by car, we'll get to our daughter's school faster." Damian did not forget to first throw his wife's belongings back into their apartment. After that, the man gently pulled his wife's hand towards the car he had brought from the headquarters.

It didn't take long for Damian to arrive at the music school where his daughter was.

"Hey Davina, don't cry already. Your father won't come, and will never come because you're an illegitimate child that no man wants to acknowledge."

Damian's blood boiled when he was immediately greeted with the sight of his little daughter being insulted by her own teacher.

Damian couldn't hold himself back anymore, so he slapped the woman with no attitude on the face. The blow Damian gave made the woman bounce.

"You?" The woman shouted with emotion. No one had ever dared to do that to her before. However, Dayana looked shocked after seeing Alice, who came with a burly man.

"What did you do to my daughter?" asked Damian with a murderous look while Alice quickly hugged her little daughter.
