Damian stared intently at Samuel, his sharp eyes seeming to pierce the man's heart. The room felt silent even though time continued to tick away. Only Samuel's rapid breathing and his son's soft whimpers broke the silence.

“Don't think you can just leave here because you've said what you wanted to say,” Damian said coldly. “You haven't explained everything.”

Samuel tensed. “I've told you everything I know.”

“No, you haven't,” Damian interrupted quickly. He walked slowly toward Samuel, his footsteps echoing eerily on the concrete floor of the prison. “You said the President wants to sell the island. But for what? And why were you sent to kill me, not a professional assassin or special forces?”

Samuel clenched his teeth. His face showed great inner conflict, but he knew that one move from Damian could cost his son his life—or worse.

Finally, he said, “The island… the island has a gold mine, Damian.”

Damian narrowed his eyes. “A gold mine?”

“Yes… A massive gold mine. The president preten

Samuel stood frozen on the deck. His hands trembled. Tears fell silently.“This isn’t about revenge anymore. It’s about salvation,” Damian said softly, his sharp eyes fixed on the island.“Send down the team. No one is left behind.”Mist began to shroud the waters around the island, like a thick blanket trying to hide the sins buried in its soil. The stealth ship sliced through the water slowly, almost silently, but every second brought the troops closer to the heart of the nightmare.Damian stood at the edge of the deck, his gaze piercing through the fog. Beside him, Samuel had already donned his body armor, his face pale but resolute. There was no fear left. Only one thing occupied his mind: save his son or die trying.“Commander, the reconnaissance drone is showing military movement on the northern coast. They’re fully armed,” the operator’s voice broke the silence.Damian didn’t flinch. “We won’t go through the usual route. Use the underwater tunnel. We’ll break through directly t

Damian returned Samuel's gaze with stony determination. It was the gaze of a man who had long lost his tolerance for evil and had now found a reason to burn it to the ground.“I don't need a reason to kill them,” Damian replied softly, his voice hoarse like distant thunder, “But for your son, I will make sure they regret ever touching a single hair on his head.”Samuel took a deep breath. Now there was no more doubt. All that remained was the decision."Rafael moves around, but he has one place he never leaves for too long. An old house in the western district, on the edge of the forest in the seventh district. From the outside, it looks like an empty building, but underground, there is a high-security communications center. That's where he keeps all the contacts and operational channels used to communicate directly with the President.“Damian nodded. ”You're coming with me.“Samuel simply said, ”We have to move before midnight. If Rafael realizes I'm no longer under their surveillanc

Ben didn't say much else, choosing to continue his task of torturing Damian. However, torturing Damian and making him talk was a very difficult task. “You're not giving up either, are you? Do you want to experience death first?”Ben was panting. He was exhausted from beating and torturing Damian. Meanwhile, the man he was torturing only grimaced. Not even a single word of plea came out of his lips.“Go ahead. Just kill me. But I'm sure your boss will kick you out because you've destroyed our only hope of finding out the enemy's plan.”Ben was at a crossroads, confused about what to do. No one was helping him. He was alone, torturing Damian and looking for a way to make him talk. If the man in front of him died, he would be the one to suffer the consequences.“What should I do?” Ben thought, full of confusion.Seeing Ben’s expression, Damian was quite pleased. He was certain that victory was on his side. Especially now that the special forces sent by Nick had successfully infiltrated a

Just as Damian and Nick had suspected, Ben went to meet the person who had incited him to defect. The man was even given special access to a room that only trusted individuals were allowed to enter.“Boss,” Ben bowed his head in respect to the person he greatly admired. The figure was a lieutenant from the enemy side. His name was Samuel. He was a highly admired and feared figure because he was considered a cold-blooded and iron-fisted man.The man did not hesitate to kill, especially traitors. It was certain that no one could survive long in this world if they met that man.“How is it? Has the man opened his mouth yet?” Samuel asked Ben in a cold tone.“Not yet, Lieutenant. But I assure you, tomorrow morning he will open his mouth and reveal every secret and plan he has devised to fight us,” Ben explained.“Good,” Samuel praised him.Ben looked proud after receiving the praise, because previously he was just an ordinary soldier on Damian's side. Now, on Samuel's side, he felt as if h

“Hahaha! Ben, you're so narrow-minded.” Damian mocked Ben, who was standing in front of him. The man's breathing was heavy, his exhalations were strong, and that made Damian even more eager to provoke him.As he had learned before, anger could destroy a person, and that was what he wanted to do now.Damian deliberately provoked Ben's anger so that the man would reveal every plan he had because Damian knew what kind of person he really was.Ben was a man who had difficulty controlling his emotions. He was quite temperamental. And his efforts paid off, as Ben began to react to Damian's taunts.“Shut up, you bastard!” Ben punched Damian in the face, knocking him to the ground. His lip was split open, and blood trickled down his face.“Tsk,” Damian spat. “Your punch feels like a child’s punch, Ben. I guess the leader didn’t promote you to commander because of this. You’re too weak and can’t control your temper.”“I said shut up!” Ben’s breathing grew heavier.“If you’re jealous of what I’
