"Apples, Honey, Mushrooms, flour, S&S—oh!"

Valtor pushed the small bag of items bought on one hand, to squint his eyes to the list he held. "S&S? I wonder what's that? I should probably ask the Trader..."

---(ABOUT TEN MINUTES AGO)—The Mining team had left the desolate world to the Raid team, a group of two Rank A members, a Rank C, and a Rank D.Seeing the last miner (Pete) leave, they settled down for business."Okay! How far is the distance to this wasteland's core?" The leader, Ryker, a Fire Elemental Ni-user, asked."Approximately a few kilometers from where we stand," the second Rank A, Liza, replied, adjusting the pair of 'mad-scientist' goggles on her eyes. "With the short distance, I'm taking it that the Gate opened so close to the core—we should be done in less than five minutes."She was the genius of the team—a Techno-magic Ni-user."G-Guys, pl-please, we need to mo-move as soon as possible. Cracked grounds, dry dusts blowing without a direction to the breeze.Valtor stood watching the Corrupted stare at him, with hollow eyes having the same green glowing core in its chest. He moved closer, and the Corrupted turned to another direction, leading him far into the desolate land.Valtor knew the creature wants to show him a place, but, it took a high level of common sense to be able to understand this reaction.Farther away from the Safety Zone, the lands were worse than he imagined. The 'stumps' here were crenated blood-red having irregular frozen structure, similar to a splash of water frozen mid-time.Clustering together, almost without a space to walk straight through, Valtor had to move sideways to get through, also keeping his eyes on the pointed tips so as not to get scratched or pricked. The Corrupted however moved without any form of intelligence. The sharp pointed crystallized stumps tore through its bone, tearing some parts away, but it continued walking straight-f
