"Damn it, I'm late for class!" Oliver Beckett exclaimed hastily while dashing through the street that was crowded with people going about their daily's activities. The morning sun was burning brightly, and Oliver's shirt was now drenched in sweat due to him running all the way from his apartment that school.

He lacked the money to board a public bus or cab, so he decided to get to school the any way he's been doing ever since he resumed.

Oliver kept bumping into people while running forward, and they kept raining abuses on him. But Oliver paid no attention to them, he was truly late for the test.

After running through the street for several more minutes, Oliver finally arrived in front of the school's gate. He leaned his hands on his knees while panting heavily, and sweat trickled down from his face and dropped to the floor.

"I'm few minutes late!" Oliver glanced at his wristwatch with widened eyes before running into the academy's premises and began to make his way to his class.

While running hastily down the hallway, a student placed his right leg in front of Oliver, and Oliver ended up hitting the leg and fell face first on the floor. The other students around broke out in mocking laughter, and they all had their gazes fixed on Oliver who picked himself up slowly with his uniform now stained in dust.

"Oops, sorry, Olive oil." The bot who intentionally made Oliver tripped spoke as he stood in front of Oliver with his arms folded. The boy had a short blonde hair, a nice physique that was like that of a bodybuilder, handsome face that every girl would crave for, and a height like a model.

His name was Christopher Flynn. The school's top bully and also one of the strongest students.

"It's fine." Oliver assured in a shaky tone as he buried his head down and attempted to walk away, but Christopher held his collar and pulled him back.

"And who said you could leave?" Christopher spoke, holding onto Oliver's collar and preventing him from moving. "Did I say you can leave yet?"

"I- I have a test to attend please...let me go." Oliver pleaded, fear written all over his face and his head facing the floor to avoid making eye contact.

"A test? Oh, that's right. A test that requires you all to display your talents, that's true. Why do you need to attend such test, anyway? We all know you are nothing but a trash with no talent!" Christopher mocked, still holding Oliver's collar.

Hearing the words of Christopher, Oliver's blood boiled in anger and sadness. Christopher wasn't wrong in anyway, Oliver indeed doesn't have a talent.

On the day where he was supposed to awaken the talent inside of him, he failed to awaken anything, and since then he has been refered to as a trash and nobody.

Always bullied by all.

"Let me go, Chris, please!" Oliver demanded, his voice mixed with both anger and command.

"What was that? What did you just say? I didn't quite hear you well." Christopher inquired, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"I said let me go!" Oliver voiced out, and the students around now had a puzzled expression.

"Are you commanding me?" Christopher questioned. "How dare you talk back at me, Olive oil? Where did you get such confidence from?" He added.

"I said let me go!" Oliver paid no attention to his words and stood his ground.

"And what if I don't? What are you going to do, trash?" Christopher teased, still holding Oliver's collar.

Oliver then clenched his right fist tightly and punched it out towards Christopher's jaw. The punch slammed heavily on his jaw and caused Christopher to look at the ceiling and also release Oliver.

Christopher placed his hand on his jaw and shifted his gaze back to Oliver with a demonic expression.

"You dare lay your hands on me, trash? You are dead meat!" Christopher roared in anger. Oliver flinched, turning around, and began to run for his life.

Oliver ran forward as fast as his legs could carry him, until he suddenly felt his whole body freeze and unable to move. Before Oliver could figure out what was going on he felt a strong pressure pulling him back to Christopher.

"You can't run from me, trash? You think.you can harm.me and get away freely? You are corpse!" Christopher retorted as he kept pulling Oliver back, using his telekinesis ability. Oliver finally arrived in front of him, and Christopher stretched forth his right hand and grabbed Oliver's neck.

He squeezed it, causing Oliver to struggle for air as he got lifted off the floor.

"I will teach you a valuable lesson, so that next time you will remember you are nothing but a worthless trash, and all you have to do is shut up and bury your head in the sand while you are being bullied!" Christopher voiced out in anger, tightening his grip around Oliver's neck, and Oliver kept fighting to set himself free.

The students around chose to stand by and enjoy the gruesome scene with joyous expression. Even some were praising Christopher in the background.

Christopher kept strangling Oliver, before he finally threw him against the wall like a rag doll. Oliver's body crashed against the wall nearby and he fell down on the floor, coughing and gasping for air.

Before Oliver could catch his breath, he felt the same energy pulling him a into the air, and sent him crashing against the wall once more. Oliver's body was now covered in bruises with blood trickling down, and part of his bones were shattered.

He laid down there, his teeth clenched in pain as he found it hard to move.

"Hope it never repeats itself again." Christopher spat before walking away, leaving Oliver beaten on the floor. The students around glared at Oliver and rained abuses on him before exiting the hallway and headed to their various classes.

"Christopher...you will surely pay for this." Oliver clenched his fists in anger.

The cold wind screamed past Commander Oliver’s face. He was falling. The beautiful wings of light were gone. The Sword of Radiance in his hand was no longer a glowing weapon. The ancient creators had judged him. They saw the dark magic in his blood. They turned the holy sword into a heavy, useless piece of dead gray stone. Oliver dropped like a rock toward the burning abyss. He did not panic. He watched the solid stone plateau rushing up to meet him. He calculated his speed. He measured the exact distance to the ground. He waited until the last possible microsecond. Oliver aimed his pitch-black, Wraithborn metal right arm straight down at the ground. He released a massive, concentrated pulse of dark gravity magic. The invisible shockwave hit the stone floor. The opposite force pushed Oliver violently upward, breaking his fall. He crashed heavily onto the hard rock. He rolled three times through the thick gray dust. He slammed into the side of a broken boulder and stopped. For a

  • Chapter 825

Commander Oliver stared straight up. The red clouds were not clouds. They were the soft, wet, bleeding flesh of a giant throat. Millions of jagged black teeth hung miles above their heads. The teeth were the size of mountains. The entire planet of Sigma-12 was already swallowed. Oliver, his terrified squad, and the two dark gods were standing on a tiny rock inside the belly of the Overlord. "We are inside it," Billy the hacker whispered. He dropped his cracked tablet. His eyes were wide with total horror. "The sky is a mouth. We are going to be eaten." Captain Iris fell to her knees. General Vega lowered her gun. The human soldiers lost all their hope. The Anti-God floated in the hot air. It wore the stolen, rotting face of the dead Archangel. It laughed a wet, terrible laugh. "You see the truth now, little machine," the Anti-God mocked. "You cannot fight a cage when you are already inside the stomach. Put the shiny sword down. Die quietly." Oliver did not put the sword down. Hi

  • Chapter 824

The explosion of pure light and dark magic inside Commander Oliver’s fist ripped the ground apart. The fiery abyss below opened wide. Millions of tons of rock tumbled into the boiling orange lava. Oliver did not fall. He released the explosive magic from his hand. The blast pushed him straight up into the air. He grabbed the heavy, broken body of Archangel Seraphael with his human arm. "Hold on!" Oliver shouted to his squad. The kinetic shockwave carried them all. General Vega, Sergeant Miller, and the others rode the blast of hot air. They flew upward, escaping the collapsing cliff. They crashed onto a high, flat plateau of black stone. It was the tallest peak in the ruined valley. Below them, the entire continent finally crumbled. The land sank into the ocean of liquid fire. The heat was blinding, but the high plateau stood firm. Oliver laid the giant angel gently on the ground. Seraphael was barely breathing. The black curse from the Reaper’s scythe had eaten almost his entir

  • Chapter 823

The two dark gods floated down from the bleeding red sky. The Anti-God smiled. Its face was a rotting, fleshy copy of Seraphael. Dark blood dripped from its mouth. The Reaper did not smile. It wore a dark hood of pure, swirling void. It held a massive scythe made of dead, crushed stars. Commander Oliver stood at the very edge of the burning cliff. He held his small titanium combat knife in his human left hand. His black metal right arm hung quietly at his side. He did not show any fear. His cold mind saw the exact level of danger. Behind him, the human squad trembled. General Vega held her empty crystal rifle. Sergeant Miller guarded the weeping civilians. They had no place to run. The cliff dropped away into a boiling river of orange lava."They are going to erase us," Billy the hacker whispered. He hugged his cracked tablet to his chest. The Reaper glided forward in the air. It raised its giant, starry scythe high above its hooded head. It did not aim at Oliver’s neck. It aimed

  • Chapter 822

The bleeding, fleshy angel smiled. Thick, dark blood dripped from its rotting teeth. Archangel Seraphael stared at the horrific copy of himself. The great golden warrior fell to his knees. He dropped his lightning spear. His holy light faded into a weak, sad glow. He could not fight a monster that wore his own face and was made of dead human hands. "Brother," the corrupted angel mocked. The Overlord’s dark voice echoed from its throat. "I have come to bring you into the dark." The creature raised its spear of black shadows. It aimed at Seraphael’s heart. Commander Oliver did not freeze. He did not feel pity. He saw the danger clearly. If the golden angel died, the squad would lose their only heavy shield. Oliver lunged forward. He kicked the heavy golden lightning spear across the glass floor. The weapon slid directly into Seraphael’s armored hands. "Pick up your weapon," Oliver ordered. His voice was cold, sharp steel. "That is not your brother. It is a biological trick. It is

The freezing, skeletal fingers of the Reaper crushed Commander Oliver’s throat. They fell together through the pitch-black void. The wind roared. The god-killer stared into Oliver’s eyes. The monster’s empty, dark hood hid its face, but Oliver felt its terrible hunger. The Reaper raised its other hand. Long, sharp bone claws reached for Oliver’s chest. The monster wanted the alien black coin buried inside his flesh. Oliver could not breathe. His black metal right arm was pinned against his side. His human left hand tried to push the monster away, but the Reaper was as heavy as a mountain. His vision began to turn dark. His perfect mind knew he had exactly three seconds left to live.
