Chapter 09

Two days later....

Izaki, who previously ran, met a passing trader heading towards Maroc City.

Izaki heard that the merchant leader wanted to invite hunters to ensure safety through the forest path ahead.

Izaki volunteered and he showed a form of change, so he was accepted as the guard of the group.

Now, Izaki and his entourage have arrived at the gates of Maroc City.

"Mr. Izaki, we have arrived at Maroc City." A bloated man said in a cheerful and happy tone.

"Thank you, Mr. Barbaros. Without your help, I might have to run around in the forest. Plus it's already night."

"Haha, don't worry Mr. Izaki. Apart from that, do you need any other help?" The man named Barbaros asked while looking at Izaki.

"I'm still looking for a place to exchange loot. Do you have any acquaintances?" Izaki reveals his problem to Barbaros.

"Exchange of loot... I have a friend and the place itself is quite close to the gates of Maroc City."

Barbaros said while holding his chin.

"The shop he founded is called Bulan. Even though the size of the building looks small, I guarantee the exchange there is good."

Hearing Barbaros' words, Izaki nodded and he said, "Thank you, Mr. Barbaros. If there is time, we can drink another time."

"Haha, yes. I will look forward to that day." Barbaros laughed lightly.

"I'll go first, see you later." Izaki rushed into Maroc City.

Just as he passed through the city gates, Izaki saw a group of twenty people led by a tall man.

Izaki's brows furrowed and he looked at the emblem of a high-level hunter member. Apart from that, he also heard the cheers of several women.

"Look, isn't that Mr. Klaus?!"

"Is there a mission outside the city?!"

"Master Klaus, take me away with you."

Izaki himself only stared for a moment, before going to look for the Moon Shop.

Meanwhile...

"As usual, Mr. Klaus is very famous." A young man said in a joking tone.

"Saga, it seems like the lesson I gave you before is still not enough." Klaus glanced at the young man named Saga with a flat expression.

"No! No! I'm sorry, Mr. Klaus." Saga, who heard Klaus' lesson, immediately waved his hand.

Who doesn't know how harsh a lesson Klaus taught him? Klaus' training is quite extreme and notorious among hunters.

The hunters behind the two of them laughed when they saw Saga shrinking from Klaus' threat.

"Forget it, remember that this mission cannot be taken as a joke, because this mission is more important than fighting a high-class monster!"

Klaus said in a serious tone. This made Saga and the other troops suddenly silent, no one laughed or caused trouble again.

"Well Mr. Klaus, if this portal does move, wouldn't it be a big disaster one day?"

saga who had entered serious mode, asked while thinking about the next consequences regarding the portal move.

"Yes, if portals can move. Then it will be difficult to find them when they are in the ocean. Just imagine, in the vast ocean there are hundreds or thousands of portals gathered."

"In addition to gathering, they are already fully active and integrated with the world. The possibility of a large-scale monster disaster may occur."

Klaus' speculation made the troops shudder in horror. They had already imagined a monster as tall as a skyscraper appearing right in front of them.

not just one monster, but hundreds of monsters. Isn't that already considered the end of the world?

Each of them became serious again and needed to complete the portal transfer for future survival.

Klaus, who was in front, suddenly stopped. His eyebrows furrowed when he felt someone was spying on him and it was only for a moment.

Klaus turned and looked at the crowd of women. He didn't find any spies at all.

"Is it just a hallucination?" Klaus said to himself, then Saga who was behind asked in surprise.

"Mr. Klaus, why are we stopping?"

Klaus shook his head and next stepped out of Maroc City.

"Let's go."

"That person's perception is quite sharp didn't expect that I would be discovered in just a split second," Izaki said in a low tone.

He wandered the streets looking for the Moon Shop while observing the strong man from the Hunter Association.

"The Hunter Association is good, it's just that I don't want to be tied down, especially to someone of high status."

"Moreover, I heard some rumors regarding the Hunter Association having someone behind it."

Izaki said lowly. he wasn't very interested in the Hunter Association at all. For him, it is better to build one's strength, than elevate the status of the Human Race.

It didn't take long, Izaki was now in front of the entrance to the Moon Shop.

[Master Gets a Mission]

[Mission: Find a haunted house to live in.]

[Reward: 100,000 Hunter Coins.]

[Fail: -]

[Time Limit: 10 Hours.]

Seeing the newly appeared mission, Izaki understood it immediately. However, he was focused on the prize of completing the mission.

"Hunter Coin? Is this the currency of this world?" Izaki asked the system with a confused expression.

[That's right, Host.]

After receiving this confirmation, Izaki entered the Moon Shop.

A receptionist greeted him with a gentle smile. Even though Izaki's appearance was below average, the receptionist still acted professionally.

"Welcome, sir."
