A DREAM OR WAS IT?

KELLY.

"Honey, how are you feeling now?" I heard jimmy ask when I opened my eyes

Jimmy, I was home again, I couldn't express the kind of gratitude I felt to be back in this hospital again

So it was all a dream, but it felt so real, the pain I had been feeling when I saw that Doctor kill the baby,

The pain was intense and unimaginable

"I have been worried sick about you, you have been yelling and crying in your sleep, I got scared and called the Doctor who came to check up on you" 

"I had a dream, it was a very bad dream" I confused, right now, I was confused as to why I was having these strange dreams,

The woman I saw, who was she and what did she mean I was in the land of the dead, all this was just too much, I needed answers 

"Jimmy, could you do me a favor?" I asked

"Right away honey, what do you need, you haven't eaten anything, should I bring you food?" He asked

"Em, not food, am not hungry at the moment, I would like you to bring me a certain nurse, her name is Ruth" I said, jim looked like he had a couple of questions he wanted to ask me but when I pleaded with my eyes, he instead nodded and went out of my room,

After a few minutes, he came back with Ruth, I then realized that this was the first time I was left alone and didnt experience any sort of attack,

Was it because of the dream?, I wondered but whatever the case, I needed to talk to Ruth

"Mrs Williams, I see you are feeling a little better" the nurse said politely

"Yes, em, jimmy could you please give me and the nurse some private moment?" I said

"Em, sure, I will be in the waiting room incase you need anything" one thing I loved jimmy was because he was more understanding and right now I couldn't be more glad that he didnt insist on staying

"Ruth, I need to speak to your sister!" I said immediately the door shut after jimmy left

"Wow, that was too quick did anything happen?" She asked curiously

"I had an attack earlier, something tried to kill me twice in a day which is way not normal and then I had a dream, it was a very strange dream and I think I just need to speak to your sister as soon as I can incase this   continues cause trust me, its driving me insane"

"Oh, I will just give her a quick call and ask if she can come and see you later in the evening" Ruth replied

"That would be lovely, please do so, I promise after all this is done, I will make it up to you" I said with a smile

"Please, don't thank me, at least not yet" she said and headed to the door

"And please, tell my husband to come in" I said before she left the room.

After a few minutes, jimmy entered the room and sat at the edge of the bed

" the Doctor said I had a miscarriage because I took some pills probably in my drink or food?" I asked, this had been at the back of my mind even with everything that was going on

"Yes but honey, you are not suspecting me of doing something like that are you, causing you to have a miscarriage?", well, I had never suspected jim of that in the first place but looking at his attitude at the Moment made me wonder, why was he being asked up suddenly?

"Why didnt you tell me?" I asked

"Because you told me you fell from the stairs or something or someone pushed you, you seemed so certain about it that it slipped through my mind, besides, you have been having these episodes since you wake up that I didn't know when to bring the topic, you know I wanted and loved this baby in as much as you did, its our first child for christ's sake why would I harm him?" That the exact thought I had,

Ever since I met jim which was four years ago, he had never given me a reason to think he would do something like this

"I didnt mean it that way cause am certain I did not take anything, something pushed me" I said

"And where exactly where you that evening, your line wasn't going through" Again, jim looked tensed which was unlike him,

"I was out with some friends for drinks" he replied

"And you didn't think it was necessary to call me and tell me about it, besides since when did you start going out for drinks with your friends at Midnight?" I asked 

"Look, can we just drop this topic?, the Doctor said you will be discarriged from the hospital tomorrow but you can't assume work till a week or so" he said changing the topic

"Okay" I answered,

We where both silent for a few seconds until his phone rang, he looked at the screen and then looked at me

"Take the call" I said

"Em, no its nothing important, I need to go to the office, should I serve you the food I bought for you earlier?"

"No, its okay I don't have much of an appetite now, but where are you going?, you know you can't leave me alone while a lot of things are happening to me" I said, who knew what would happen when he left,

Maybe that thing would come back again to kill me, besides, there was actually no one I knew here except Ruth who by now I guessed her shift ended and was back home already

"I have to go Kelly, its work related and I can't miss work" if course, I couldn't convince him to stay, one part of me told me he was leaving because of the phone call he just received,

It was probably his boss.

"Okay but what time are you going to come back?" I asked

"In the evening once am done with work, take care of yourself" he said kissing my forehead and helded towards the door.

Immediately the door was shut down, I gave a silent prayer that nothing should happen...
