Once upon a time…

In a world called Earth, a world alive with magic, mystical creatures, and wonders beyond imagination, peace and harmony reigned. But darkness is patient… and evil is relentless.

For centuries, the world fell under the rule of four great evils. Humans were enslaved. Their flesh, their labor… all tools for the evils’ cruel amusement. Shadows stretched across the lands, and hope became a faint, flickering light.

Yet even in the deepest darkness, resistance arises. A group of wizards, united with warriors and guardians of magic, stood against the tyranny. They fought bravely, but their strength alone could not end the reign of evil.

Desperate, they turned to the gods, pleading for salvation. And the gods answered… with a child.

A boy born with magic unlike any seen before—a force that could challenge the four evils themselves. They named him Hope, for he was the last chance to restore their world. They protected him at all costs, sacrificing everything, knowing that the fate of Earth rested in his hands.

When Hope came of age, he learned to wield his powers under the guidance of the wizards. His strength was unprecedented, his courage unmatched. And when he became the leader of the resistance, he led them into battle against the evils.

The war was fierce. Fire and magic clashed. Heroes fell, and legends were born. In the end, the four evils could not be destroyed—their existence was tied to the very fabric of the world. To kill them would mean annihilation itself. So they were sealed… banished from the world, but never truly gone.

After the war and the defeat of the four evils, Hope, the wizards, and the people united to build five great kingdoms: Axrax, Domitrus, Lythridite, Samuzia, and Micapus.

Among them, Axrax was made the head of all the kingdoms, and Hope was crowned its king. Under his rule, peace reigned across the lands.

Before King Hope’s death, he and the wizards combined their powers to create a magical and immensely powerful stone. To protect it, they sealed the stone inside a crystal, known as the Light Crystal. Its purpose was clear: to be wielded only by someone worthy, to stop any evil that might ever threaten the five kingdoms.

From the power of the Light Crystal, Hope and the wizards also created a mighty force known as the Light Army. To strengthen their bond, the souls of the army were linked to a ring, ensuring their power could always be called upon in times of dire need.

Many years later, a new king was born from Hope’s bloodline—King Damon. After his father’s passing, Damon became the ruler of Axrax. But during his reign, a dark and powerful wizard rose: Marcelos, a being whose evil spread terror across the five kingdoms.

Marcelos possessed five great powers that struck fear into every living soul:

1. The ability to manipulate humans and command dark creatures.

2. Power far greater than the late King Hope.

3. Control over life and death itself.

4. Dominion over nature.

5. The gift—or curse—of immortality.

With these powers, Marcelos nearly succeeded in conquering the kingdoms. King Damon attempted to wield the power inside the Light Crystal but failed. Only through the combined strength of Damon, the Light Army, and the wizards of all five kingdoms were they able to defeat Marcelos.

Yet even in defeat, Marcelos could not be killed. Recognizing this, King Damon and the five wizards placed him into an eternal sleep, absorbing his five powers into five separate crystals. Marcelos’ body was buried in a magically sealed tomb, ensuring he could never threaten the world again—at least, not without awakening.

The five crystals, which held Marcelos’ powers, were entrusted to the five kingdoms for safekeeping. The Dark Crystal was given to Axrax, the Mind Crystal to Lythridite, the Death Crystal to Samuzia, the Nature Crystal to Domitrus, and the Immortal Crystal to Micapus.

All five crystals were placed in the Sacred Hall of each kingdom, guarded at all times by the Light Army, ensuring that no evil could ever seize their power.

THOUSANDS OF YEARS LATER… (Present)

King Raynold, ruler of Axrax, lost his wife shortly after she gave birth to their second son. Heartbroken, he grieved deeply, yet he resolved to move forward—for the sake of his two sons.

King Raynold raised his sons, Ramsay and Noah, himself, ensuring they never lacked anything. As they grew into teenagers, he trained them in combat and war tactics, preparing them to inherit the responsibilities of their lineage.

Now, Ramsay is 20 and Noah is 18, and both are on their way to meet their father, having been summoned by him.

IN A DARK FOREST

A man sat upon an ancient throne within a shadowed castle. Before him stood an old man clutching a staff, surrounded by a group of silent, watchful figures.

The man on the throne spoke, his voice cold but commanding, “For how long will we be staying here, Zussorader?”.

Zussorader bowed slightly, his staff tapping against the stone floor. He said, “Philip, my future king, you must exercise patience. But soon… very soon, we will move.”

Philip’s eyes narrowed, a flicker of frustration in his gaze. He said, “That’s what you’ve been saying for far too long. I think we are hiding here instead of going out and taking the world for ourselves.”

Zussorader shook his head calmly as he said, “We cannot go out like this, Philip. Patience is our only option.”

Philip’s anger flared. With a surge of magic, he struck Zussorader, sending him crashing against the wall. The old man fell to the ground, his staff clattering beside him.

Slowly, Zussorader rose, gripping his staff, and approached Philip with measured steps. He warned, “Please… do not do that again, Philip, or you will truly anger me".

A moment of pause and Zussorader continued, “When I found you, Philip, I promised you the world—and I will keep that promise. But you, with a handful of mercenaries, cannot conquer it yet. The world is far more than you imagine. Even our powers… they are nothing without an army… and a powerful ally.”

Philip’s expression shifted to disbelief, his voice sharp, “A powerful ally? Who would ever stand with us? You’ve said it yourself—the whole world is against us.”

Zussorader’s eyes glimmered with a dangerous certainty. He said, “There is someone who wants the same as we do… and he will be our ally.”

Philip’s gaze sharpened, skeptical yet curious. He asked, “And who is that? Who will ever stand with us?".

A pause. Zussorader’s voice cut through the dark silence, “Marcelos.”

Philip’s eyes widened in disbelief. He asked, “You mean the dark wizard you told me about?”

Zussorader nodded slowly. Philip continued, “I thought it was just a story".

“It is not. Marcelos possesses powers beyond anything you could imagine,” Zussorader replied gravely.

Philip rose from the throne, determination hardening his features. He asked, “Where do we find Marcelos? And how do we wake him?”.

“Finding Marcelos won’t be difficult,” Zussorader said, his voice steady, “but waking him… that is another matter. To awaken him, we need the blood of King Damon’s bloodline.”

Philip’s expression hardened. He said, “Which means… the blood of King Raynold, or one of his sons.”

“Yes,” Zussorader confirmed.

Philip’s eyes narrowed. He said, “That will be nearly impossible. King Raynold is powerful, and infiltrating Axrax… impossible. Especially with the Light Army guarding it.”

Zussorader smiled faintly, as though he had anticipated this concern. He said, “That is why I have planned everything. First, we shall visit Lythridite and steal the Mind Crystal.”

Philip frowned, “Why the Mind Crystal?”.

“That… will help us obtain the blood of one of the princes,” Zussorader said, a cruel smile spreading across his face.

AXRAX – PALACE HALL

Ramsay and Noah entered the grand hall of the palace. Sunlight streamed through the high windows, glinting off the golden throne where their father, King Raynold, sat. They approached and stood respectfully before him.

King Raynold smiled warmly and said, “Welcome, my sons. I am so proud to see you both grow into fine young men, and for always making me proud.”

“Thank you, Father,” they said in unison.

King Raynold’s smile softened, tinged with sorrow as he said, “I am sure your mother would be proud and happy to see you both, if she were still alive.”

Ramsay returned the smile and said, “We are proud of you too, Father, for raising us into the men we are today.”

Noah added, beaming, “You are the best father we could ever wish for.”

''Sons, I called you both here to tell you it is time to learn how to control and use your magical power. Your master will soon be here to take you'' said King Raynold.

''Yes father'' said both of them (in union).

Just then the palace hall door opened and an old man with white hair (holding a staff) walked into the hall.

The old man (with white hair) bowed his head immediately he got in front of King Raynold with the word ''your royal majesty''.

''Welcome Zussorender'' said King Raynold to the old man.

''How have you been your royal majesty?'' asked Zussorender.

''Have been great as you can see. How are you and your family too?'' asked King Raynold.

''We are good'' said Zussorender.

King Raynold’s gaze softened as he spoke to his sons. He said, "Sons, I called you both here because it is time to learn to control and harness your magical powers. Your master will soon arrive to take you under his guidance.”

“Yes, Father,” Ramsay and Noah replied in unison.

At that moment, the palace hall doors swung open, and an old man with white hair, clutching a staff, entered. He moved with quiet authority, bowing deeply the moment he reached King Raynold. He said, “Your Royal Majesty".

“Welcome, Zuss,” King Raynold greeted warmly.

“How have you been, Your Royal Majesty?” Zussorender asked politely.

“I have been well, as you can see. And you and your family?” Raynold replied.

“We are well, thank you,” Zussorender answered.

Turning to his sons, King Raynold said,

“Sons, I’m sure you’ve seen him around the palace, though you may not know who he truly is…”

Noah interrupted with a grin, “I do know him. Everyone calls him the weird old man.”

Ramsay chuckled, and King Raynold smirked at Noah’s honesty. King Raynold continued, “People may call him that, but the truth is very different. He is Zussorender, the Supreme Wizard—leader of all wizards, and the wizard of Axrax.”

Ramsay and Noah immediately ceased smiling, bowing their heads in respect. Ramsay said sincerely, “We are sorry, Master".

King Raynold nodded. He said, “Sons, Zussorender will be in charge of your training. He will teach you how to control and use your magic. He shall be your master.”

Ramsay bowed again and said, “It’s nice to meet you, Master". Noah mirrored the gesture.

Zussorender bowed in return, his voice calm and respectful, “It is nice to meet you too, Your Royal Highnesses.”

King Raynold gestured toward Zussorender,

“Now that you are acquainted, Zussorender, you may take them with you.”

Noah hesitated and asked, “Aren’t we going to learn magic here in the palace, Father?”.

“No,” King Raynold said firmly. “You will stay with Zussorender until you master your powers.”

Ramsay and Noah’s faces fell. Seeing this, Raynold rose from his throne and walked to stand before them. He placed a hand on each of their shoulders, and said to them, “It’s okay, sons. I know you will make me proud once again.”

He embraced them tightly, letting them feel the strength of his faith and love.

Ramsay and Noah packed their belongings. Together with Zussorender, they walked toward the palace gates.

As they approached, the two princes noticed a dusty, old wagon waiting for them. Noah raised an eyebrow, incredulous. He asked their master, “Wizard… is this going to be our ride?”.

Zussorender nodded with the word, “Yes.”

Ramsay’s jaw dropped. He asked, “How are we supposed to ride that… that dirty thing?”

Noah echoed him in disbelief, “Yeah… seriously?”

Zussorender crossed his arms, unfazed. He said, “Riding this wagon is the only way you’ll reach my house. Otherwise… you’ll remain in the palace.”

Ramsay looked around, frustrated. He said, “Can’t you request a better wagon? I mean, you’re the Wizard of Axrax—you should be riding something… better than this.”

Zussorender’s eyes glinted with stern authority as he said, “Get in now, or I leave without you.”

The princes exchanged nervous glances and quickly realized he was serious. With no choice, they climbed into the wagon, grumbling softly but quietly.

With a swish of his staff, Zussorender signaled the driver, and the dusty wagon creaked forward, beginning the journey of the two young princes into the world of magic, training, and unknown challenges.

Ragmus’s facial expression showed pure annoyance as he glared at the beast, now motionless, with the surrounding fire completely dead.Ragmus sat next to Esther, who held his hand while magically healing his wounds. Her injuries had also fully healed.Ramsay, seated beside Esther, couldn’t stop laughing. The others, standing nearby, couldn’t understand why, but Esther ignored him, and Ragmus, furious, didn’t even notice.Ramsay’s laughter grew irritating, prompting Lilia to kick him in the leg as she asked why he was laughing. That finally made him stop, then he asked, “Why wouldn’t I laugh? Don’t you all find it funny?”.The others simply scowled, which only deepened his disbelief. Ramsay continued, “Don’t you see the crystal playing with us?” With me, the crystal was straightforward—maybe out of respect for who I am. But what it did with Esther was the same as what it did with Ragmus. It gave them hope that they could win, that they could become the chosen one—a hope that reached a

  • TRIAL OF ENDURANCE

As the flames licked higher around Ragmus and the beast, the heat threatened to scorch the edges of his cloak. His grip on the spear tightened, knuckles white, every nerve on edge. The mirror beast crouched slightly, eyes glowing with a predatory focus that reflected Ragmus’s own determination. One misstep—into the fire, or under the claws of the beast—could be fatal. They moved in slow, deliberate circles, each testing the other, waiting for an opening. Ragmus’s mind raced, calculating, anticipating. This was not about striking first; it was about endurance. He had to survive. He reminded himself of the truth: the beast mirrored him perfectly. Every swipe of its claws, every flick of its tails, every sudden lunge was something he himself would do. To survive, Ragmus had to fight as he knew he would fight—defending, countering, and wounding with a spear he had never mastered. This was not a fight to dominate, but a battle to endure against himself.Ragmus shifted slightly, feeling the

  • TRIAL OF BLADES

The conjured lady lunged first, her sword slicing through the air toward Esther with deadly speed. Esther raised her blade, parrying just in time, sparks flying as steel met steel. She countered with a quick thrust, but the lady twisted, avoiding the strike and striking back with a flurry of punches and kicks that rattled Esther’s defenses. They moved like shadows across the chamber, each step precise, each strike fast and lethal. Esther ducked under a sweeping kick, rolled to the side, and swung her sword again. The conjured lady deflected it, stepping closer with fierce precision, driving Esther back inch by inch. Then, in a rare moment, the conjured lady miscalculated ever so slightly. Esther’s eyes widened as she seized the opening. She swung her sword in a wide arc aimed directly at the lady’s head. For a heartbeat, it seemed as if the strike would land — the swing was fast, clean, and precise. The others watching at that moment felt that was the moment everything was going to co

  • CAN SHE BE?

Esther tightened her grip on the sword, the crystal’s light faintly reflecting off its blade. Across from her, the conjured lady stood poised, calm and confident, her stance unshakable. The chamber seemed to shrink around them, the air thick with tension, as if the walls themselves were holding their breath. The lady struck first, lunging with a speed that made the air hiss. Esther barely parried in time, feeling the shock of the blow vibrate through her arms. Each swing of the conjured lady sword was precise, deadly, and designed to test her skill, not merely to kill.Esther countered, stepping lightly, her movements fluid despite the lack of magic. Every clash of steel sent sparks flying, illuminating the fear and determination in the eyes of her friends watching from behind. They could only observe, powerless to interfere, and the crystal had sealed off magic. The conjured lady pressed the attack, forcing Esther backward, testing her reflexes, her timing, and her will. • THE TRIAL OF THE CHOSEN ONE II

All of them could not believe what they had just heard. It sounded like their ears were having a fault, which made Hawk ask Esther to confirm if they all heard him right. He said, "Did you just say that any one of us could be the chosen one?".However, it was Ramsay who answered, "Yes. Esther is right. I being the Great King doesn’t make me the chosen one. The power inside the crystal was not made for royal blood, but for the chosen one. It was meant for whoever the crystal itself chooses.""And how did both of you suddenly know that, after we all believed that only Ramsay could be the chosen one?" asked Kylie, looking at both Ramsay and Esther. It was also the way the others were looking at them, which meant one of them had to reply. Esther said, "It became obvious. There’s no way the chosen one would have to go through so much to get to the crystal. The crystal wouldn’t make the one it has chosen fail multiple times as a test to reach it.""So you’re saying there was no test?", aske

  • THE DOUBT WITHIN

After breakfast that morning, the group gathered to discuss what had happened. The conversation quickly turned to Ramsay’s fight with the figure — and more specifically, what had caused his skill to fall apart during the battle.Ramsay, however, could not tell them the truth about his sword. He had to keep that secret buried. So instead, he told them a lie. He said his faltering had nothing to do with his skills — that the figure was simply stronger, faster, and far beyond his expectations. The others weren’t convinced. Only Esther and Dah remained silent, while the rest questioned his words openly. They reminded Ramsay that they had all seen him fight five of those same figures — and he had defeated them with skill that seemed almost divine. Yet against a single opponent, he had struggled and barely survived. They wanted to know why.Ramsay held his ground. He said coolly, “Maybe it’s because you weren’t the ones fighting it. That figure carried the strength of the five combined — ma
