"Can you please attend to me?" Elena asked, her voice rising with anger. She was tired of how the police officers were treating her, like she didn’t even exist. "I’ve been here since morning, and you still haven’t attended to me. What’s going on here?"

One of the police officers looked at her for a second, then looked away, avoiding her eyes. "You can only get answers if you calm down," he said. "Better still, go home and come back when you’re calmer."

This response made Elena even angrier. "Is this how you treat people?" she demanded. "My husband has been missing since yesterday, and you still haven’t come up with anything. Do you have any information at all?"

The officer answered rudely, "If I may ask, did you come up with anything? Do you have any information that can help us?"

Elena’s anger boiled over. "That’s your duty, not mine," she snapped.

The police officer raised an eyebrow. "You’re not in a position to give us orders," he said. "We’re doing our best to find your husband,

Morrison and Karvel exchanged a look, neither of them smiling. Their faces looked as though they had been beaten by a monster. The atmosphere in the room was tense, the silence heavy.“So now,” Master said, his voice calm but dangerous, “tell me exactly how it happened.” He turned away from them and slowly walked back to his seat.Karvel hesitated. He breathed in and out like someone trying to pull back memories buried in his mind. He adjusted his clothes, sat up properly, and finally spoke.“Grandpa,” Karvel began carefully, “you don’t have to worry. Everything is in order now.” His tone was meant to reassure, but it only sparked another wave of anger in Master’s body.Master’s eyes narrowed. He pushed himself up from his chair immediately, his strength surprising for his age.“Calm down, calm down!” Karvel said quickly, lifting both hands in surrender. “I will tell you everything.”Master lowered himself back into his seat, leaning against the chair with dignity. He adjusted the dar

Karvel came inside, still holding his phone. His voice was calm but firm.“Alright, yes, we will get back to you,” he said before ending the call.Inside the room, Morrison was already busy with some boys. He stood like a man in charge, giving out instructions.“Make sure everything is in order. When you get there, call me immediately,” Morrison said. The young man he was addressing nodded quickly and left the room without another word. The seriousness in Morrison’s tone showed that the matter at hand was no small job.Karvel dropped into a chair with a restless sigh. His eyes moved slowly around the room, as if the walls were about to fall in on him. His chest rose and fell like a man carrying a heavy burden.“I need to get out of here,” he muttered.Morrison noticed but only smiled, trying to lighten the tension. He reached for a brown file from the table and stretched it towards Karvel.“Young master,” Morrison said respectfully, “there are a lot of contracts on the table. I’ve alr

Elena froze at the doorway, her hand still on the knob as her eyes swept through the sitting room. For a moment, she thought she had entered the wrong house. Almost every membe lolr of her family was seated there, staring back at her in silence“What’s going on here?” she asked, her voice low, as though speaking to herself. She stepped into the room slowly, cautious with each movement, as if her floor had suddenly become strange ground. Her chest rose and fell quickly. She rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand, hoping it was all a dream. But when she opened them again, the scene before her had not changed. Her family was still there like a judge ready to pass sentence, Robert and Richard sitting stiffly like policemen in court, and her mother, Karvel, who looked torn between pity and disappointment.“Wait,” Elena finally managed to say, “how did you even enter my house?” She expected someone to answer. But the silence was heavy, too heavy. Nobody moved, nobody spoke.Elena’s voice

Karvel lay on the bed, looking worried. The kidnapping had happened so fast, and he was still trying to process everything. He had never had any fight with anyone, so why were they after his life? "I can’t wait to see my wife," he said to no one in particular. He was happy that at least he would finally see her face again. He breathed out, trying to feel more comfortable. He looked around the room, thinking of how to get out soon. Morrison had left one of his phones with him, so Karvel picked it up. Just as he was about to open it, the phone rang, displaying Morrison’s name.Karvel picked up at the first ring. "Hello," he said, waiting for an answer.
