Karvel's eyes swept the room and landed on a figure trying to blend into the shadows near the back wall.
"Vincent," Karvel called out calmly. "Don't you think you're forgetting something?"
Vincent froze like a deer caught in headlights, his face going pale as milk. "I... I don't know what you mean."
"Earlier today, you tried to coerce my wife into meeting you alone in a hotel room," Karvel's voice was steady, but there was steel beneath the calm. "Under the pretense of 'discussing business,' of course."
"That's... that's not what happened!" Vincent stammered, sweat beading on his forehead. "Mr. Morrison, sir, please don't listen to him! He's just a jealous husband making up stories!"
Sebastian's expression turned glacial. "Are you suggesting the Young Master is lying?"
"No! I mean... it was just business! Pure business!" Vincent's voice cracked like a teenage boy. "I would never... Elena is a married woman! I respect that!"
"Respect?" Karvel's laugh was cold. "Is that what you call telling her she had to sleep with you to secure your investment?"
Elena's face burned with shame and anger. "Karvel, you don't have to—"
"Yes, I do," Karvel interrupted gently. "This snake has been circling you for months, thinking he could use his money to buy what he wanted."
Vincent dropped to his knees, his earlier arrogance evaporating like morning mist. "Please! I was wrong! I was stupid! I'll apologize to Elena! I'll do anything!"
Sebastian's voice cut through Vincent's pleading like a blade. "Men."
Four security guards stepped forward immediately.
"Take Mr. Langford somewhere private," Sebastian ordered, his tone businesslike. "Break both his legs. And his arms, for good measure."
"WHAT?" Vincent's scream echoed through the banquet hall. "You can't do this! My father will—"
"Your father will do nothing," Sebastian replied calmly. "Unless he wants to join you."
"Please! Please, I'm sorry! I'll never bother Elena again! I swear!" Vincent's voice rose to a hysterical pitch as the guards grabbed his arms.
"You should have thought of that before you tried to force yourself on the Young Master's wife," Sebastian said without emotion.
As the guards dragged the screaming Vincent away, Margaret suddenly perked up like a opportunistic vulture sensing fresh carrion.
"Mr. Morrison!" she called out sweetly. "Since we're all family here, perhaps I could join you upstairs? I'd love to continue our conversation about business opportunities!"
Sebastian looked at her as if she were a particularly repulsive insect. "And you are invited... how?"
"Well, I'm Elena's grandmother! Family should stick together, don't you think?"
Robert stepped forward, his voice tired but firm. "Mother, with all due respect, you just threatened to have Elena arrested ten minutes ago."
"That was different! I was just—"
"You expelled us from the family years ago," Patricia added quietly. "Remember? You said we were dead to you."
Margaret's face flushed red. "I was being dramatic! Family is family!"
"No," Robert said, straightening his shoulders with newfound dignity. "You made your choice. We're no longer part of your family, remember?"
As the elevator doors closed on Margaret's protests, Richard turned to his remaining relatives with wild speculation.
"Do you think... do you think Elena is having an affair with Morrison?" he whispered conspiratorially.
"It would explain everything," another cousin nodded sagely. "A powerful man like that, taking such interest in a nobody's wife?"
"She must be quite the little vixen," someone else snickered. "Playing the innocent while seducing billionaires!"
Meanwhile, the elevator rose to the penthouse level, revealing a sight that took Elena's breath away.
The entire top floor had been transformed into a fairytale. Crystal chandeliers hung like frozen stars, white roses cascaded from every surface, and soft music floated through the air like whispered promises.
"This is all for you and the Young Master," Sebastian explained respectfully. "To celebrate your wedding anniversary."
Elena's eyes filled with tears as she took in the magnificent scene. "This is... this is incredible."
"Three years ago, we had a simple ceremony," Karvel said, taking her hand. "I always felt like I owed you something better."
He led her to the center of the room, where a small stage awaited.
As they stepped onto it, the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed a spectacular sight—fireworks exploding across the night sky in brilliant cascades of gold and silver.
"Elena," Karvel dropped to one knee, pulling out a velvet box containing a ring that sparkled like captured starlight. "I know our marriage started as a business arrangement. I know I've been a terrible husband. But if you'll have me—really have me—I promise to spend the rest of my life making up for lost time."
Elena's tears flowed freely now, her heart breaking andhealing at the same time. "Karvel..."

Must tell us
Lisa was in her element, surrounded by admiring faces and envious whispers. She felt like a peacock among pigeons, finally getting the respect she deserved."You simply must tell us more about your relationship with Mr. Morrison!" gushed Mrs. Hartwell. "How did your family come to know him so well?""Oh, it's quite a story—" Lisa began, but her words were cut off as the lights suddenly dimmed. The club manager, a distinguished man in an impeccable black suit, stepped onto the stage flanked by six security guards dressed like federal agents. The festive atmosphere instantly turned cold and tense."Ladies and gentlemen," the manager's voice boomed through the microphone, "I apologize for interrupting this lovely evening, but we have received an urgent communication regarding a serious matter."The crowd fell silent, every eye turning toward the stage."It has come to our attention that someone present tonight is illegally wearing Mr. Sebastian Morrison's personal Shadow Emblem," the

He's just a pathetic leech who got lucky once!" Lisa fastened the ring onto a chain around her neck, where it gleamed against her dress. "Besides, I'm attending the Whitmore Society gala tomorrow night. Wearing something this exquisite will boost our family's status immensely!"Patricia nodded enthusiastically, her eyes gleaming with greed. "Lisa's absolutely right! That ring could open doors for us! Important people will notice it and want to know where it came from!""Exactly!" Robert chimed in. "It would be completely wasted on someone like you, Karvel. You spend your time with janitors and cab drivers. Lisa move
Incredible
As the magnificent anniversary celebration wound down, Sebastian Morrison approached Karvel privately, his expression grave and respectful."Young Master," Sebastian said quietly, glancing around to ensure they were alone. "Miss Hart has informed me of your true identity. I believe it's time you received this."He pulled out a small velvet box containing a ring unlike anything Karvel had ever seen. The metal seemed to absorb light rather than reflect it, and intricate symbols were carved into its surface with masterful precision."This ring represents your authority," Sebastian explained solemnly. "As long as you wear it, anyone under our organization's influence will treat you with the highest respect and honor. Your word will be law."Karvel accepted the ring, feeling its surprising weight. Such a small thing, but it carries so much power."Thank you," he said simply, slipping it onto his finger. As they rejoined the others, Patricia immediately pounced on him like a hungry hawk

Everyone stared at Sebastian Morrison bowing to Karvel, their minds struggling to process what they were seeing.Sarah was the first to break the stunned quiet, her voice shrill with disbelief."Wait, wait, wait!" She jumped up from her chair like a startled rabbit. "There has to be some mistake! Why would someone like Mr. Morrison invite... him?" She pointed at Karvel with disgust. "He's just a mangy street dog!""Exactly!" Margaret found her voice, stepping forward with desperate authority. "Mr. Morrison, surely you mean to invite me? I'm the matriarch of this family, the one celebrating my birthday tonight!"Sebastian's eyes turned cold as winter steel. "And you are?""Margaret Howard, honored sir! "To have someone so powerful throwing you a party!""It must be someone incredibly important," Robert added.
