Othniel blinked as Ashley called out to him and he straightened up. “You don’t have the right to speak to my fiancée in that manner. I was only wondering what a beautiful woman would be doing with a low class like you. Maybe if she was with someone better, her life would have been easier than what I have heard.”
Maxwell raised a brow as he listened to him speak. Ashley was enraged. “Othniel, you were supposed to stand up for me and not my cousin!” Othniel ignored her and continued. “Perhaps if she arranged to be my mistress, I can set her up for a meeting with the vice president too.” Ashley’s eyes widened with shock. “What?!” Arabella’s face darkened as she glared at Othniel. “Your mistress? Aren’t you engaged to Ashley?” Othniel’s brows furrowed. “I’m entitled to have any one I want and no one is an exception. Especially seeing you are the one who is in need of help.” Othniel’s smug grin widened as he looked at the gathered crowd. Reporters were nearby, and several other businessmen were watching the scene at the entrance. "Look at her," Othniel announced, his voice booming. "The rejected granddaughter of the Zade is so desperate she’s come to the gates of Forest Hills with a beggar for a husband. Arabella, let’s be real. My fiancé Ashley here is the one with the talent. You? You're just a pretty face in a cheap suit." He stepped closer, licking his lips in a disgusting manner. "I'll make the offer again. One night at the Grand Hotel with me, and I’ll walk you past those guards myself. Otherwise, you and your beggar can spend the day on the sidewalk with the rest of the trash." Ashley didn't even look offended by the mistress comment anymore. Her face was filled with joy at seeing Arabella humiliated. "Hear that, Arabella? That's the only way a woman like you gets through those doors. Maybe Maxwell can wait in the car while you do your business? After all, I’m sure that’s how you got Nathan in your web, it won’t be your first time, would it?” Arabella’s body trembled with rage as she spat. “You both… you are disgusting!” “I take that as a no then,” Othniel smirked. He turned towards the head of the security, a 6’3 man standing by the revolving doors. “Hey, look at these two. They don’t have an appointment. Make sure they don’t go close to the doors, they will ruin it with their flirt.” The Chief of Security walked forward. Ashley and Othniel stood tall, expecting the guard to shove Maxwell and Arabella into the street. Maxwell finally moved. He stepped in front of Othniel. Othniel’s lungs suddenly felt tight as Maxwell’s domineering aura washed over him as his eyes narrowed on him. “Othniel Waters,” Maxwell said in a low, threatening voice. “There’s one sin I do not forgive and that’s humiliating my wife. In five minutes, your contracts with Forest Hills will be terminated. In ten minutes, your Peniel Group will be blacklisted across the city. And in fifteen minutes... I'm going to decide what to do with that tongue of yours." Othniel’s smirk instantly disappeared as color drained from his face, his skin turning pale. “You… you are just bluffing! You’re nothing but a useless bluffer and if any of these things would happen, I would eat my own head!” The Chief of Security reached them and Ashley smirked. “Sir, this beggar is threatening my fiancé! Throw them out. They do not belong here.” The Chief of Security ignored Ashley entirely. He stood at a rigid military attention, his eyes fixed on a point behind Maxwell. “Step aside," the Chief growled. “You heard him, Maxwell! Move!" Othniel cheered. But the Chief wasn't talking to Maxwell. He put a hand on Othniel’s chest and shoved him backward so hard the man stumbled and fell onto the concrete.
"I said step aside," the Chief roared at Othniel and Ashley. "You're blocking the path for our VIP guests."

Chapter 136: A Lie Or The Truth?
Sienna’s fingers clutched her phone. “I-I do. But—” “No buts!” The voice harshly cut in. “Do what I asked you to or else the next time you will see your son will be in a trash bag!” The call went dead. Sienna’s heart raged in her chest as horror covered her face. What had they gotten themselves into?! “What are doing here, Sienna?” A deep, husky voice loomed over her making her flinch, her phone falling from her eyes. She looked up terrified only to see Maxwell. “What the hell?!” She yelled, hitting him on the chest. “Don’t you have manners? Creeping up on someone like that!” Sienna took in deep breaths as she looked around, her brows furrowing. “Where’s Arabella? Why did she bring you alone?” Maxwell’s eyes narrowed on her. The intensity of his gaze made Sienna to subconsciously take a step back. “Wha… what? Why are you staring at me like that?” “Arabella is at home and she’s not coming.” Sienna’s eyes widened with terror. “No! You are lying. Didn’t she listen to me? I
Chapter 135: A Trap?
Arabella hurriedly entered her car, turning on the ignition. Then, her phone rang beside her. It was Maxwell. “Where are you?” His voice came through, calm but firm. Arabella pursed her lips for a while before responding. She wondered if he knew about what happened with Victoria. But that wasn’t important now. “I’m… leaving the gala,” She replied, already pulling out of the parking lot. “Mum texted me that Mike has been arrested.” A pause came from the other end. “Don’t go there.” Her grip tightened on the steering wheel as her brows furrowed. “What?” “Don’t go there,” he repeated. “Go home.” Arabella frowned. “Maxwell, my brother is in trouble. You don’t expect me to just go home and do absolutely nothing?” “Arabella, just trust me. Do not argue, go home and leave it to me to handle.” Arabella shook her head as she drove, overtaking a car. “No. Not anymore. You have been fixing my family’s mess all on your own without telling me, I can’t put this on you as well!” A deep

“Lost? I haven’t lost my dear,” Victoria said with a laugh. “I have just called for an audit of your character and I have proof.” She brought out a document from her bag and waved it in the air, staring at the crowd. “Here’s a document that confirms everything I’m saying here.” One of the guest collected the document from her and the others surrounded him and read through it. “It’s true!” A voice rang out from the crowd few seconds later. Arabella raised a brow, staring at Victoria. “What did you do?” “Security!” Victoria smirked, raising her hand and snapping her fingers in the air. “I believe Mrs. Zade here—who can’t use her husband’s name for reasons best known to her—is using unorthodox methods to—” “That’s enough, Victoria!” A voice sounded within the crowd. It was loud but was enough to attract attention. The crowd parted instantly as a woman stepped forward. Seraphina Vance. The same woman who had acquired Zade’s Group from Fred Zade. Victoria’s brows furrowed. Ev
Chapter 133: Shadows
Theodore straightened up slowly, his hands trembling. He let out a shaky breath as he said quietly. “I will not fail you.” Maxwell’s gaze remained steady. He didn’t care whether Theodore failed him or not. “Don’t do it for me,” he replied. “Do it for your family.” Theodore nodded. … Kensington Holdings. Victoria Kensington paced around her office, her phone in hand, the bright lighting from the floor to ceiling window did nothing to illuminate her dull mood. Her hair looked dishevealed like she had ran her hands through them several times today. Ever since meeting Arabella during the Global business Summit, she had tried her best to jeopardize her company but at the end her moves backfired on her and she is left with a huge mess to clean up or she loses everything. “Alejandro, you guys can’t leave me hanging this way. This is unfair!” Static came from the other end followed by his voice. “Victoria, you did this to yourself,” Alejandro responded. “Your beef with Arabella mak
Chapter 132: Offering Theodore A Chance
Everyone ignored Sienna’s statement and went on to keep eating. Sienna and Mike exchanged peculiar glances throughout the whole breakfast which didn’t go unnoticed by Maxwell. … Theodore sat quietly at the back seat of the taxi, the envelope on his lap. He had read the letter more times than he could count, yet it still didn’t feel real. Forest Hills. A place people talked about with respect. A company which controlled industries. The owner wasn’t well known—yet. Elena Hatfield was in charge of the company, although Arabella had swore that she had nothing to do with the letter, he had second thoughts and right now, he was nervous. His fingers tightened around the envelope. “This must be a mistake,” he muttered underneath his breath. The taxi slowed down and came to complete stop. “We’re here, sir,” the driver said. Theodore looked up. The building stood tall and proud, glass shining under the morning sun. People in clean suits walked in and out with purpose. Expensive car
