The Outcasts Greatest Treasures

It had just been a few minutes since Ben had been set free of his bounds by Surge, now the two of them walked along a long and narrow walkway, down below them both was a courtyard full of tanks, weapons, trucks and other military equipment, “magnificent isn’t it?” Surge asked as he leaned over the edge along with Ben and looked down, “looks like your preparing for war?” Ben asked in a voice that sounded surprised, “you could say that my friend,” Surge answered back giving his friend and evil looking grin, “this is just the start of things to come for the humans!” As Ben looked down he could feel the presents of both human and Mega humans down below, he then turned away to see Surge walking a few yards towards a door, as he was about to open it he Jested with one of his hands for Ben to follow as ben got near he stopped as he felt the present of a powerful Mega Human he turned as he saw a smiled appear on Surge’s face, “though this door my friend,” Surge said as he pushed it open, “you will find the two greatest treasures of the Outcasts.” As the two of them walked through the door Ben was amazed at what he saw, inside was a small lab filled with test tubes vials and other scientific equipment at the far end was a large tank filled with a strange blue colored liquid sat near it hold two vials of red liquid was a male scientist, as the two entered the room he looked up at them both, “Hello Dr how is your work progressing?” 

Surge asked him the man gave him a neutral look, “it’s slow but I am positive that I am making good progress?” He then turned to Ben, “who is this Surge another one of your newest recruits?” As he looked into the other mans eyes flashes of memories began flooding into Ben’s mind flashes of a family two young girls and one older boy as Ben looked deeper into the mans mind he knew who he was. “Dr Roberts? But how?” 

He asked himself as he back slowly away from him, Dr Roberts looked a bit like Stacey but he was shorter and had dark hair, a kind face which was now wrinkled with age, “Dr this is my best friend and closes allies Ben Fox,” Surge said as he put one of his arms onto Ben’s shoulders, the Dr looked at the mega humans, “I see that you two seem to know one another,” he then looked over at the tank, “is it OK if I go down stairs? As I have heard that there are some prisoners that you want me to test,” Surge nodded and watched as the Dr left the lab, “that one has been a really useful tool Ben,” he said as the door shut behind them both, “it’s a pity that I can’t use him as an experiment.” Ben laughed softly, “what is so funny?” 

Surge asked in a voice that tried to sound friendly, “so he is one of your greatest treasures then?” Ben asked trying to sound more serious, “Dr Roberts the creator of the first Mega Human serum,” Surge nodded and smiled, “does he know about what happened to his daughter?” Ben continued, “no, not yet anyway, perhaps you can share that information with him?” Surge asked as he watched Ben turning towards the tank, as he did he felt the presents of a powerful mega human, “you mentioned something about another treasure Craig is it inside this tank?” Surge then flipped a switch that was near him as he did this there was a buzzing sound as the strange blue liquid started to drain, as it did it revealed a large male figure seeing this Ben’s face dropped, “my God I can’t believe it Chris?” He turned to the other Mega Human, “how, where did you find him?” 

He asked as he turned back towards the tank staring at the Mega Human inside, Chris was large about the same height as powerhouse, he had dark blue colored skin and jet black hair, he was half naked and his arms, legs and chest glowed with a yellow energy. “We found he in an army base near Nevada a year before you found Roberts daughter,” Surge said as he walked behind Ben and put on hand onto his shoulders, “he was in a bad way as the military used him for their twisted experiments so I had my men bring him back here to London so that he could be healed.” 

Ben turned towards his former friend, “you do understand don’t you Ben why humans and Mega Humans can never be at peace?” He said in an angry voice, “they used us for war we are nothing to them but tools!” Ben didn’t say anything back but nodded he then turned to Chris and looked inside, “is he asleep? Can he talk?” He asked in a worried voice, “he is aware of you being here as well as me Ben he is just rejuvenating whist the serum gets to work on his body perfecting his powers.” He then placed a hand onto Ben’s arm, “come we have much more that we can talk about and I am sure that once he is ready Chris will talk with you?” Both of them then walked out of the lab leaving Chris behind as they walked Ben though that when the time was right he would get answers from both Dr Roberts and his former friend.
