Ashley, Damian's Mom, cried in pain in her study. Earlier, she couldn't hold back her tears after seeing how her son was cruelly killed. It felt like thousands of arrows pierced through her heart. She had done her best to protect him ever since he was Ten, but he still died. Before his Dad died fifteen years ago, he put his younger brother, who is Damian's Uncle, in charge of his company and instructed him to hand it over to his son when he was twenty-five. He trusted his brother, but his brother became greedy and wanted to have everything to himself. He wanted his own family to own the company, and there was one way to achieve that, if only Damian, his nephew, was dead.

Ashley, who also trusted him back then, began to keep her son away from him when a maid, who had been working for the family for a long time, confessed to Ashley that she had been ordered to poison Damian's food or else her own family would be killed.

"An ordinary delivery guy couldn't have killed my son. It's someone more professional. Someone only Mathew can hire" she said to herself as she wailed. She was right, she had enrolled Damian in boxing when he was young, so he would be able to protect himself. She regretted that she requested that CCTV be removed from his room floor. If she hadn't, they would have seen the murder.

Her Assistant came into her study and bowed slightly to her. She gently cleaned her face with a tissue before she looked at him.

"Have you seen the Suspect? Does he look like someone that could kill my son?" She asked.

"No, he doesn't even stand a chance of winning against Mr Damian."

"I knew he wasn't the one. We shouldn't let an innocent man suffer, should we? If only there's evidence."

"There's something I would also like to tell you, ma'am," her Assistant said.

"Go ahead"

"The Suspect's name is Javier Carden, and he looks exactly like Mr Damian"

"What? Are you sure you saw it correctly? He looks like my son?" Ashley jumped out of her seat in surprise.

"The only difference was that he looks poor, but every other thing is the same, I'm very sure of it."

"Then we have something to do urgently."

"Are you sure he's dead?" Mathew Stevenson asked the person he had hired to kill Damian.

"He was barely breathing when I left him. We need his estimated time of death to tally with when the delivery guy came", the guy replied.

"Good of you, you can leave now, and I won't forget the trip I promised you when you got the job done."

" Thank you"

The guy walked out of his office.

"Dad, are you sure we can trust that guy? He doesn't look trustworthy to me", Nathan, his son, said.

"I have known him for a long time. Money is enough to shut him up for the rest of his life" he paused briefly. "No one can take this seat away from me and my family. No one, else I'll crush them" Mathew gritted his teeth.

"We have nothing to worry about anymore, Dad. The bastard is gone."

Javier still felt like it was all a dream that would be over soon. He couldn't believe he was arrested as a murder suspect overnight. If only he had known it would turn out that way, he wouldn't have entered the hotel room when he saw it was open. He wouldn't have entered the bathroom at all.

"My life is over!" he lamented.

"The victim's family is here to see you," A police officer said and unlocked the door. Javier panicked. How was he supposed to face a family that had just lost their son and even believed he killed him? He slowly stood up and followed the police officer.

The police officer excused them when they got to where the family was waiting.

It was a woman and a man. The woman looks elegant even when her makeup isn't done, while the man stands beside the woman, which makes Javier believed he was someone working for the woman and not a family member. He felt uncomfortable with the way the woman looked at him. He had expected her to scream at him, call him a murderer, and cuss him out, but it was the opposite. She was so calm for someone who had lost her son.

"Oh my God!" The woman exclaimed "He looks exactly like my Damian! How can this be?" She stood up from her seat and walked closer to Javier. She was getting emotional as she touched Javier's face gently.

The man who stood beside her moved closer to them and stopped her.

"I apologize on her behalf," he said, and looked at Ashley. "Mrs. Stevenson, you should get to the point of why you are here. You are making the young man uncomfortable".

"Why are they not pulling my hair yet? What's going on? Why is he being polite to me?" Javier wondered in his head.

"I'm very sorry," Ashley said and returned to her seat. "I'm Ashley Stevenson. The mother of the deceased" she introduced herself.

"I swear, I didn't kill your son. Someone is trying to frame me so that the case would be closed. Trust me please, I'm just a delivery guy". He fell on his knees.

"I know you didn't kill him," Ashley said, which made Javier surprised at how easily she believed his words.

"You believe me?"

"I'm not saying I believe you. How can just a delivery guy kill my son? You are no match for him. You don't even have a motive to do that."

"Then can you help me get out of here? I can't go to jail! It will be the end of my life", he pleaded with Ashley.

"Yes. I can get you out of here before your trial and that is why I'm here. We both know the chances of you not going to jail are very low since all the evidence points at you."

"Thank you for believing me. I'm very grateful to you!" He was happy he wouldn't end up in jail after all. He was happy there was someone who could get him out of jail with her connection.

"In exchange for helping you, you will have to do something for me".

Javier's eyes widened. He wondered what someone like him could offer the woman. He has nothing to give except for his life.

"And what would that be?" He asked curiously as he exchanged glances with both Ashley and her assistant.

"Become Damian! Live your life as Damian. I'll give you all the power and money that belongs to my Son if you agree to live your life like him. But if you don't, then, you will have to go to jail for the murder of my son!"

Javier rubbed his eyes, to be sure he wasn't dreaming. Everything was happening so fast that he refused to believe it.
