I stared at the faint pulsing of my tattoo, a quiet throb beneath my sleeve that only I could feel. It wasn't a coincidence. It never was. Whenever it glowed, it meant something was shifting — a mission, a message, or worse, a confrontation we weren’t ready for. Yet, ready or not, it was here.

Felix saw the shift in my eyes. “Your tattoo,” he said, voice hushed. “Is it happening again?”

I gave a silent nod, slowly rolling my sleeve up just enough for Cipher and Felix to see the symbol. A strange rune shimmered faintly in pale blue, spinning slowly in a way that made it look like it was alive.

Cipher stepped closer. “That rune… it’s evolving. That wasn’t there before.”

“What do you mean evolving?” Felix asked, clearly unnerved.

“I mean it’s not just reacting — it’s growing. Like it's adapting to you… or to Frank.”

I clenched my fist. My voice came out colder than I intended. “Then that means I’m ready. Whatever it wants me to do, I’ll do it.”

Cipher grabbed my wrist. “No. Not yet. We g

I looked at the mission and squeezed my face a little.[System mission: Expose Frank's hands in the death of a fellow student.][System reward : A cash prize of $2,000,000 ]I was having more money in my account, which I have been pumping into the Rabbit's business.Deacon had now opened a company with the aim of taking Zack down, while his wife, Vanessa, was equally having a company for money lending. My tattoo was slowly changing its colors too. Just like Cipher had told me. I don't know if I was supposed to be scared or not. I walked into my bathroom to have a warm bath.I remember everything; it was like yesterday. When I was treated like an ant. Like I didn't matter at all. Poor, broken, and unkempt. But now, I was rich, and I could afford anything that I wanted, all thanks to the mysterious system. But yet, I still haven't found a way to defeat Frank, who had been a thorn in my flesh.I got out of the shower with a towel around my neck. The echo of the gunshot sound still linger

The room was quiet. We all stared at ourselves, not sure of what to say. It was our first mission, and we have been handed a loss by Frank. Also, to rub salt in our wound, Frank has taken out Bulldog, who was a fellow student."I am going to avenge him. This won't go unavenged!" Marcus shouted, raising his voice.I wanted to tell him to be calm. I needed to reason and find a way out, but Marcus went calm himself. My parents walked out and noticed the tense atmosphere. My foster father looked at us and sighed."You all need to calm down and forgive yourself. This is your first mission against Frank, but this won't be your last. He doesn't know your weakness. Taking and killing one of you is definitely going to break your spirit. You are going to feel down, and you are going to wish you had killed him." Deacon said, staring at our faces."You still have a long way to go. Rome was never built in a day, and if you think you were just going to take down Frank and his father's empire like i

I raised my gaze and i saw the strange figure in a hoodie. I don't need to be told what was going on.I knew Frank must have done something to him or her." You don't have to do this. I don't know who you are but we can make sure he pays for every single thing he has done." I said slowly trying to move over toward the shadow." Stop!" The voice shouted at me and I froze." Do you think I care about what you say?!" She yelled at me. I could now tell who it was judging from the voice." He killed him. This fucking bastard kill my only brother!" She yelled with the gun pointed at Frank.Frank let out a laugh that made me wonder if he was scared of being shot at or he was trying to put on a brave face." And so what? You are going to shoot me?" He said crossing his hands." You had better take a good shot because if you miss." He paused and took a long look at her.The silence was suffocating and I could see a dangerous look on his face. " If you miss then you are going to wish you had ne

It was 8:05 PM when the plan began to take form. The thought of taking down Zack and Frank was all I could think about. Or should I say it was all I cared about. Outside, the campus looked serene—twilight breeze rustling through trees, students loitering about unaware of the war brewing beneath their feet. But inside our war room, it was a different universe. Plans, faces, rage, and silence danced together in tensioned rhythm. Frank’s last words about Thomas—my brother—still echoed in my mind, fueling a rage I’d carefully buried. The system has showed me. All I needed to do now was bring it to light and let the whole school see Frank for the monster he was. I glanced at Ghost. “Pull the last six months of footage. Anything with Thomas’s tag on it. We find out what happened. And also, we need a recording of it." He nodded, already typing. Felix—Zero—tossed me one of the encrypted earpieces. “Wear it tomorrow. We’ll stay connected, twenty-four seven. Any sign of trouble

Certainly! Here’s the continuation of your story, picking up right after “Welcome to war,” I said. And the room fell silent. The silence was thick. Not out of fear—but anticipation.Tony leaned back in his chair, tapping his fingers nervously. Esther adjusted her glasses and gave a curt nod to Marcus. Riyaz cracked his knuckles and looked toward the surveillance rig he was setting up. The tension wasn’t from doubt—it was the calm before the storm.Felix clapped his hands. “Alright, no more staring contests. We need codenames. No more real names during ops. If anyone gets caught or compromised, we don’t want connections leading back here.”“Smart,” I agreed, motioning to the whiteboard. “Put them up.”Felix handed out markers. Everyone looked at each other, a flicker of amusement crossing their faces in the midst of all the seriousness. Even war needed moments of levity.“I’m taking ‘Ghost,’” Riyaz said, scribbling it across the top in blue.“Original,” Tony muttered, then added, “I’ll
