Young master

Liam furrowed his brows as Peter walked into the living room. He rolled his eyes at Liam and he walked directly to Alicia. Took her arm and he gave her a peck on it.

“Good day Mother,” He said.

Alicia smiled and she patted his back, acknowledging his greetings.

Liam was confused as he watched all of this, Peter was a very close friend of his, he was even the one who advised and encouraged him to endure everything his wife did to him. How come Peter was this close to his mother-in-law? If he could recall vividly, Peter always refused to visit him at home saying he didn't want to be discovered by his mother-in-law and then making things difficult for him.

“What are you…”

“Tsk Tsk Tsk… Oh, Liam, are you just dumb or naive?” He said and Liam stared at him confusedly,

He wanted to say something, but it was as if his mouth was gagged, his brain couldn't process anything at the moment,

“What do you mean?” Liam couldn't help but ask. But his mind told him that this was nothing less than betrayal.

“We were never friends Liam. How can a potential individual like me, a public figure, be friends with a lowly live-in son-in-law like you?” Peter ranted. But Liam didn't say a word, he stood there, swallowing all of the insults.

Peter sneered seeing Liam didn't say a word, then he walked towards Ella, wrapping his hands around her waist, while she rested her head on his chest, smirking at Liam.

“You’re worse than a fool Liam. I've been hitting on your wife since you guys got married. This was the reason I became friends with you. I wanted to get close to your wife,” Peter stated, but the expression on Liam’s face was unexplainable. But deep inside of him, he wanted to explode like a volcano.

Realizing he couldn't do or say anything, he knew he had to sign the divorce paper. This was just too much for him to bear. He closed his eyes as he stood there, ignoring all the humiliations.

“News flash Liam, your beloved wife is pregnant for me. Three months gone,” Peter broke the bombshell and Liam’s eyes fled open. He quickly turned to his wife. Hoping Peter was lying, he wanted her to tell him that all this was a lie.

He could accept the fact that she wanted to divorce him because he couldn’t provide for her or get a decent job. But he refused to accept the fact that his beloved wife had been cheating on him all these years.

“Wifey, is it…”

“Yes. What do you expect? You don’t even have the right to feel bad about it,” Ella replied without remorse and Liam stiffened.

He suddenly laughed, to the surprise of everyone. Now he knew why his wife never agreed to share her bed with him.

At first he thought she wasn’t ready to have a child yet, or he wasn’t worthy to warm the bed of his beloved wifey. So he tried three times harder than he did to prove himself worthy. Yet he didn’t know his wife was having an affair with another man. Not just any man, his close friend.

This was more than a betrayal, his wife had completely destroyed him, there was nothing to hold on it. He lost!

“Sign the paper and leave! Let my daughter be happy with someone else,” Alicia said and Liam smiled weakly.

He recalled how he also did everything he could to make his so-called mother-in-law love and appreciate him, but that was his wishful thinking.

He took the pen on the table, leaned forward and he signed the paper with a heavy heart,

He stood up, stared at them for about two minutes, and he strode out of the living room, with them insulting and mocking him. But he ignored them all.

Liam walked out of the mansion mindlessly, everything Peter said to him kept on ringing in his head. Indeed he was a fool and a loser.

All he ever did wrong was to love his wife endlessly, but what did he get in return? Betrayal and humiliation.

“Finally you're leaving for good,” A maid said to him but he ignored her.

“You should have done this a long time ago. This is the best decision you've ever made,” She said. Liam ignored her, but her words only added fuel to his bleeding heart. She made him realize he was a tool being used for years, and now that he was of no use, they dumped him.

Finally walking out of the mansion who ruined his life, he thought about everything. His wife has divorced him and it turned out that his bestfriend got his wife pregnant. It was just too complicated.

The pain was all too much for him to bear, he knew the only way to end all of this was his death. They won anyway, no one would care if he's dead all alive.

He felt it would be good to end his life, standing on the railway, he contemplated on how to end his life, not until he saw a convoy driving in his direction. He quickly rushed to the main road, and he hurriedly closed his eyes. Expecting to be run over by the convoys.

Something unexpected happened, Liam slowly opened his eyes. The convoys had already stopped. Rows of cars surrounded him, with men in black suits standing beside the cars.

Suddenly one of the cars opened, an old man holding a walking stick. Dressed in a neat black tuxedo, came out of the car and he walked directly to Liam.

He smiled as he saw Liam, but his face turned to that of anger as he saw his haggard look. Liam who was confused and fixated at his spot just stared at him.

“Young master we've finally found you, Grandmaster would be so pissed to see you this way,” The old man said to Liam, who was still trying to process everything.
