A human trash

Liam was confused as he stared at the old man who was staring at him keenly. Observing his features and clothing.

He frowned and he moved backward, not wanting to associate himself with someone who might have mistaken his identity. It would be wrong if he did something like this and got caught afterward.

“I’m sorry sir, but I think you're mistaken, I'm not your grand master,” Liam said and he tried to leave, but the old man moved sideways, blocking his path.

Liam stared at him, wondering if this was also his wife and mother-in-law’s doing inorder to embarrass him further.

“C’mon lad, I’m not mistaken. You’re the young master,” The old man said with a large smile on his face.

“Erm..”

“We’ve been looking for you for years now, I didn’t expect to see you here. I almost ran over you, thankfully I saw you just in time,” The old man explained. Liam could only open his mouth in bewilderness, he was extremely shocked and confused, looking at the only man, he could tell how sincere he was, this wasn’t a scheme orchestrated by his wife.

“How? How come I don’t seem to remember anything? I don’t even know you? Why should I believe you?” Liam asked, refusing to give in.

He had never even thought he was from a potential family, not to talk of being a young master, it was too much to take in at a time.

“This isn’t the right place to talk, come with me to somewhere quiet, that way I’ll explain better,” The old man said and Liam scoffed.

“Come with you? That’s just your wishful thinking. I won’t!” Liam protested.

“Young lad, even if you don’t know me, you should atleast be curious about what I have to say,” The old man said, looking directly into Liam’s eyes. While he was in the other part contemplating if he should go or not.

Liam sighed, he knew he had nothing to lose if he agreed to the old man's demand.

“Okay let’s go,” Liam finally agreed and the old man smiled, he gave the guards a signal and they opened the car for Liam and he got in.

Everyone got into their respective cars and they drove off.

Few hours later…

At the hotel, Liam was surprised with the way they all treated him with respect, it was as if he was a king among them.

He ate to his satisfaction without minding if he was bringing himself down or it, it’s been years he ate like every normal human being.

Liam smiled after he was done eating, then he stared at the old man, expecting him to tell him the reason he approached him in the first place.

“I guess it’s time to tell you everything,” The man said and Liam nodded in approval.

The old man cleared his throat then he started. “You’re the heir to the most influential company in the country. Not just this country because other branches are still all over the countries,”

Liam stared at him in disbelief, how did he become an heir overnight? He knew he wanted to be rich and not to be stepped on, but this was way too much of a dream he never imagined.

“A heir?” Liam asked, not sure if he heard right, the old man just smiled and he continued.

“For years, we thiught you were dead because you had a ghastly accident together with your mother, since then your father had been looking for you to no avail,” The man pat Liam’s shoulders, noticing he was having a hard time believing him.

He took out his briefcase and he brought out a picture which he gave to Liam.

Liam took the picture and he started at it, only to see himself standing with a man who was his replica, but an older version of him. Then he knew everything the old man was saying was the truth.

“That’s the grandmaster, your father.” Liam didn’t say anything but just stared at the picture, he didn’t know why he couldn’t remember all of this, he knew he might have lost his memory because of the accident.

“Your father has been looking for you lad, he never gave up on you, he’d be happy to see you. Are you willing to meet him?” He asked. Liam smiled then he shook his head.

“There’s no need for you to do that, I’ll surely meet him in the nearest future,” Liam said and the man nodded with a smile.

“Young lad, now that we’re clear on this, I’ll take my leave, I had other important things to do, if you need me you should come to LCC Enterprise,” The man said and he gave Liam his card and he took it.

“The company solely belongs to you and it’s just a branch here. I’ll pass it on to you since you’re back, it was yours afterall,” The man said

“Just ask for Mr Smith holding this card and no one would dare to stop you from getting into the company.” He added.

“Thank you so much sir,” Liam said, not knowing how to react to this newly discovered information.

Liam didn’t know why but the company’s name rang a bell in his head, he thought deeply and he realized it was the company his ex wife signed a contract with. He actually overheard her discussing it with her mother.

“It’s fine. I’d surely come to find you,” He smiled as he watched the old man leave.

Liam smiled and he stood up, he realized they are people who are more influential than his ex wife.

Even if the whole young master stuff was still confusing to him, the only thing that pleased him was the fact that LCC Enterprise has a connection with his ex wife and his so-called mother-in-law.

Liam stood up and he left the hotel room, just as he got to the lobby, he heard a voice said mockingly.

“I wonder who allowed this human trash to be here,”
