The atmosphere in the Carter estate turned colder as Jack Sullivan stepped forward, his presence unnerving even the most confident of the Carter family’s allies.

Surrounded by the guards, and still a smirk on his lips.

In his hand was a tablet, the screen illuminated with damning evidence.

The guests, drawn by the tension, leaned in to catch every word.

"You think your money can cover up everything, Alex?" Jack said, his tone steady and menacing.

"Think again."

Alex smirked, folding his arms.

"And what’s this? Some fancy tech trick to scare me? Please, Sullivan. You’re a broken man trying to play hero."

Jack tapped the screen, and a video began to play.

It showed Alex’s Maserati, speeding recklessly through Havenwood’s streets, the timestamp clearly marking the day Kyle was killed.

Another clip followed—security footage of Alex laughing in a bar just hours after the accident, bragging about how "some idiot jumped in front of his car."

The guests gasped, their murmurs growing louder.

"So what?" Alex said, his voice dripping with arrogance.

"You think this changes anything? I told you already—it was his fault for being in my way. I paid for the damages, didn’t I?"

Jack’s gaze hardened.

"You paid to silence the law. But you can’t silence justice."

Alex stepped closer, a mocking grin plastered on his face.

"Justice? You? Don’t make me laugh. You’re nothing but a washed-up lunatic playing soldier. Do you even remember the lullabies you used to sing while scrubbing floors? Maybe you should wear a frock and dance for us. That’s what suits you."

The crowd erupted in uneasy laughter, their discomfort evident but masked by Alex’s bravado.

Jack didn’t flinch. He let the laughter die down before speaking.

"You’re proud of this, aren’t you?" he said quietly.

"Killing a man and mocking his memory?"

Alex’s grin widened.

"Why wouldn’t I be? That dog of yours had it coming. And as for you—" he jabbed a finger at Jack— "you’ll always be the town fool. So why don’t you crawl back to whatever hole you came from and leave the real men to enjoy the party?"

The tension in the room was suffocating, every eye on Jack.

Without a word, Jack moved.

In one swift motion, his hand lashed out, the glint of a blade catching the light.

A sharp, wet gurgle followed as Alex staggered back, clutching his throat, blood spilling between his fingers.

The room froze in collective shock.

Alex collapsed to the floor, his eyes wide with disbelief as life drained from his body.

Gasps and screams echoed through the hall, the once-lively party descending into chaos.

Charles Carter, stunned, stared at his son’s lifeless body before his gaze snapped to Jack. "

You... you’ll pay for this!" he roared. "Guards! Kill him!"

The guards moved to act, but before they could take a step, Matilda tossed a small device onto the floor.

A deafening bang followed, accompanied by a blinding flash of light.

The concussion bomb left everyone in the room disoriented, clutching their ears or shielding their eyes.

As the dust settled, Jack stood tall, his expression calm and unyielding.

Matilda stood at his side, her posture firm, her presence exuding authority.

"You’ve been living on borrowed time, Charles," Jack said, his voice cutting through the chaos.

"The Iron Wolf Battalion’s commander isn’t the broken man you once mocked. He’s back—and he’s coming for everything you hold."

Charles, still reeling from the shock, could only stare as Jack turned and walked toward the door, Matilda following close behind.

Before leaving, Jack paused at the threshold, glancing back at the blood-stained room.

"This was justice for Kyle," he said, his voice low but firm.

"And next your head would be there, if you cross my path."

Carl Bennett leaned back in his chair with the casual arrogance of someone who had never been told "no" in his entire life. He looked around the dining room as if he owned every piece of furniture in it."So," Carl said dismissively, "when exactly will this peasant be removed from my suite?"Victor Zhang rubbed his hands together eagerly. "Right away, Mr. Bennett! Jack, you heard the man. Pack your things and get out."Jack Sullivan continued eating calmly, not even bothering to look up from his plate."Did you hear me?" Victor's voice grew louder. "Mr. Bennett wants his suite! You need to leave immediately!"Hannah Shaw couldn't contain herself any longer. "This is completely unfair! Jack paid for that room fair and square!"Carl Bennett's cold eyes fixed on Hannah with obvious contempt. "And who exactly are you to question my decisions?""I'm someone who believes in basic fairness!" Hannah shot back. "You can't just kick people out of rooms they've already paid for!""Can't I?" Carl

Tonight is going to change our company's future!"His assistant nodded eagerly. "Should I inform the staff about the dress code, sir?""Absolutely! Everyone needs to look professional. When Carl Bennett sees how well-organized we are, he'll know we're worthy of his investment!"Victor rubbed his hands together gleefully. "Tonight, that arrogant Jack Sullivan will see what real power looks like. Let's see him try to impress anyone when he's sitting at the same table as Watson family royalty!"Meanwhile, in the Snow Palace suite, Hannah Shaw knocked on Jack Sullivan's bedroom door."Jack! We're all going to dinner downstairs. President Zhang invited everyone to meet so

  • CHAPTER 212

Victor Zhang watched in stunned silence as Jack Sullivan casually swiped his black keycard and stepped into the exclusive elevator—the one Victor himself had tried to access earlier, only to be politely but firmly denied entry by security."That's impossible," Victor muttered, staring at the closed elevator doors. "That elevator only goes to the Snow Palace suite. There's no way a security guard could—"Panic seized him. Victor rushed to the front desk, his face flushed with confusion and disbelief."Excuse me!" he called out to the manager. "That man who just used the Snow Palace elevator—there must be some mistake!"The manager looked up politely. "I'm sorry, sir. Is there a problem?""Yes, there's a huge problem!" Victor's voice was rising. "That man is a nobody! A security guard! He can't possibly afford the Snow Palace suite!"The manager's expression grew cold. "Sir, I can assure you that Mr. Sullivan's credentials were thoroughly verified. He has every right to access that suit

Hannah Shaw waited patiently with Jack Sullivan and Anna Young, expecting to receive cards for all three of them. When Victor finished handing out the last card to his employees, he deliberately ignored the trio and began walking toward the elevators."President Zhang!" Hannah called out, hurrying after him. "What about our room cards?"Victor turned around with a cold smile. "Room cards? Oh, Hannah, you and Anna can have this one." He handed Hannah a single keycard. "It's a lovely double room."Hannah stared at the single card in confusion. "But what about Jack? You said we could each bring two family

Victor Zhang stood frozen in the bus aisle, still staring at his phone in disbelief. The harsh words from Harold Quinn Junior echoed in his mind, but he couldn't comprehend why such a small incident had triggered such an explosive reaction."This makes no sense," Victor muttered to himself. "Why would Harold destroy our business relationship over some nobody security guard?"Meanwhile, back in Carson City, Harold Quinn Junior paced frantically in his office, his hands shaking as he dialed his father's number."Dad, we have a problem," Harold said the moment his father answered. "I just accidentally insulted Mr. Sullivan through some idiot businessman.""You what?" Harold Senior's voice turned ice-cold."Some fool named Victor Zhang sent me Mr. Sullivan's photo, claiming he was a disrespectful security guard. I didn't recognize him at first, and now I'm terrified he'll think we were conspiring against him!""Pray that Mr. Sullivan is merciful," Harold Senior said grimly. "And make sure

Wouldn't you prefer a life of luxury over... whatever this is?"He gestured dismissively at Jack Sullivan, who sat quietly by the window."I'm perfectly happy with my life, thank you," Anna replied firmly.Victor's smile faltered slightly.
