Howard Dawson stormed into the mansion, his expression dark and filled with righteous fury. The moment he spotted Jack Sullivan standing calmly in the living room, his blood boiled.

"You really have some nerve breaking into this place!" Howard barked, marching forward. "Who the hell do you think you are?"

Jack didn’t even flinch. He casually poured himself a glass of whiskey and took a slow sip. “Take a wild guess.”

Howard saw red.

"This ain’t a game, you arrogant punk!" he snarled. Without warning, he grabbed Jack by the collar, yanking him forward. "I'm about to—"

THUD!

Before Howard could even finish his sentence, Jack moved.

In a single, effortless motion, Jack gripped Howard’s wrist, twisted it, and threw him over his shoulder.

Howard’s body slammed into the hardwood floor, knocking the wind out of him. His back arched in pain, and his eyes widened in disbelief.

"What the fu—"

Jack stepped over him, towering like a predator over his prey. "You were saying?"

For two days, Jack Sullivan stayed in his villa, practicing at Crystal Lake late at night or in the early morning. His cultivation journey had begun again, and he was determined to regain the strength he once possessed. In the world of martial arts, fighters were divided into levels: Basic Fighters, Internal Strength, Pulse Realm, and the near-mythical True Essence Realm—where Jack once stood. He had been a warrior feared by all, but now he was starting over, clawing his way back to power.Standing by the lake, Jack inhaled deeply, gathering energy. With a single slap against the water, a powerful shockwave exploded across the surface, sending ripples across the entire lake. He smirked. His strength was returning. As he prepared to continue, he felt something—eyes on him.Someone was watching.Jack turned sharply, his gaze locking onto a figure hiding behind the trees. “Come out,” he commanded. The intruder flinched but stepped forward hesitantly. Had he just signed his own death warrant by asking Jack to help?Jack remained motionless, arms crossed, his sharp gaze studying Howard as if he were an insect under a magnifying glass. This man had mocked him just days ago, and now he was kneeling like a dog? Pathetic.Howard swallowed hard. "Mr. Sullivan…?"Then, to his shock, Jack finally spoke."Fine."Howard's head snapped up. Jack Sullivan leaned against the car, watching the scene unfold with an amused expression. These so-called “fighters” had no idea what they were walking into.Frank and Derek Miller, the so-called “Miller brothers,” strutted around like they owned the place. Frank flexed his arms, cracking his knuckles loudly, while Derek smirked as if he had already won.Jack shook his head.Pathetic.Neither of them had real martial arts training. Frank was barely at the lowest level of a basic fighter, while Derek hadn’t even reached that. Against a true martial artist like Julia Yates, they were walking straight into their own humiliation. But before Jack could say anything, Tina Dawson noticed his reaction.“What’s with that look?” she snapped, glaring at him. “You think you’re better than them?”Jack met her gaze lazily. “Just thinking.”“Thinking what?” she pressed, arms crossed.Jack shrugged. “That this is going to be a massacre.”Tina scoffed. “Oh, please. As they reached the doors of Carpian Boxing Hall, the air was thick with the unmistakable stench of sweat and testosterone.Jack Sullivan glanced around, assessing the room as he stepped inside. The atmosphere was intense, the kind of place where violence was a way of life, not just a consequence.Dozens of fighters, each more built and intimidating than the last, threw punches and kicks with brutal precision. Some were hitting punching bags, others sparring in the ring, but they all shared one thing in common—they were all fighters.Jack’s gaze lingered on the scene for a moment. These were the types of people who lived for violence—their every movement calculated, their minds focused only on the next hit, the next fight, the next victory. And yet, none of them seemed to notice him. They were too wrapped up in their own little world.Tina Dawson, pushing through the crowd with an air of superiority, led the way.She strode confidently toward the front of the hall, arms crossed in fro

The air in the Carpian Boxing Hall was thick with tension. Frank Miller, still groaning on the floor, was an example of what happened when arrogance collided with real power. Julia Yates hadn’t even broken a sweat, yet she had easily incapacitated him with a single tap of her finger. The room had fallen silent, the fighters and spectators alike unable to comprehend how someone could be taken down so quickly.Tina Dawson stood off to the side, a smug look still lingering on her face, but her eyes betrayed her anxiety. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. Frank and Derek Miller were supposed to show Julia Yates her place, not get humiliated in front of everyone. She watched Frank writhing on the floor, his knee twisted at an unnatural angle, and her stomach turned.“You think you’re tough?” Julia’s voice cut through the silence as she casually surveyed the wreckage in front of her. Her cold green eyes rested briefly on Frank before moving to Derek, who was still too stunned to mak

The Carpian Boxing Hall was still, the sounds of chaos from earlier replaced with the uneasy silence of realization. Frank and Derek Miller, still recovering from the devastating defeat at the hands of Julia Yates, lay on the floor nursing their wounds. Derek, once so full of arrogance, now lay crumpled and powerless, unable to lift himself off the ground. And in the middle of it all stood Tina Dawson, her face pale, her mind racing as the reality of the situation set in.Tina had thought her fighters were strong, had believed that Frank and Derek could handle anyone, even Julia Yates. But now, watching the destruction unfold before her, she realized just how wrong she was. She had underestimated everyone, including Jack Sullivan.Howard Dawson stood beside her, still trembling from the earlier encounter. He glanced nervously at Jack, unsure whether to speak or stay silent.“Jack... do you think you could take her on?” Howard’s voice wavered. He knew Julia was strong, maybe eve

The air shifted as Jack Sullivan walked toward the lower basin of Crystal Springs. It wasn’t the usual kind of heat or humidity. It carried weight—an invisible charge that made his skin prickle. He paused near a jagged rock wall, narrowing his eyes.Black diamond crystal, he thought.A rare mineral. Dense with elemental energy. Lethal in combat, priceless in martial cultivation.Only a few in the country even knew how to sense it, let alone use it.And Jack felt it pulsing below the surface like a heartbeat under lava.He also sensed movement. Not tourists.Fighters.Others like him. They were here for the same thing—and they weren’t here to relax. But before he could dig deeper—figuratively or literally—a familiar nasal voice cut through the air.“Hey! You again?”Brent Wyatt, Nancy Winter’s agent, stormed across the path with his stupid sunglasses on indoors and a clipboard that probably hadn’t seen real paperwork in years.Jack rolled his eyes. Not this guy again.“You’ve got some

Know Nancy Winter? That’s like a squirrel saying it dated an eagle.”Jack raised an eyebrow. “We grew up together.”Tina smirked. “Yeah? And I once dated Superman. We all have our fairy tales.”Rachel, standing off to the side, looked at Jack with a raised brow, her voice cautious. “Wait, are you serious? Nancy Nancy?”Jack shrugged. “You don’t have to believe me.”Tina scoffed and crossed her arms. “Good. Because we don’t. You’re clearly trying to sound impressive just because we’re here for an audition. What’s next? You’ll say you’re the executive producer’s secret twin?”Jack gave a half-smile. “If that woul

Jack Sullivan didn’t follow after Nancy Winter. He didn’t need to.She had said what she needed to say—with rage in her voice and tears in her eyes. And he? He had no excuse worthy of softening the ache he left behind. He just watched her vanish into the crowd of cameras and makeup artists like a ghost swallowed by spotlight.Still, he felt it.Beneath the fury, beneath the insults—she still cared. And maybe that made it worse.“Hey!”Jack turned. It was Nancy’s agent—Brent Wyatt—a slick-haired man with a clipboard, Bluetooth headset, and the personality of a knockoff talent scout mixed with a tabloid addict.Brent looked Jack up and down like he was inspecting gum on his designer shoes. “Let me make something real clear, soldier boy.”Jack raised a brow, unamused.Brent stepped closer. “Nancy’s a star now. A national icon. She doesn’t need some forgotten war dog crawling out of the past looking to leech off her success.”Jack didn’t flinch. “Is that what you think I’m doing?”“I know

Jack Sullivan had faced bullets, betrayal, and backroom ambushes. He’d made city kings kneel, snapped spines of mobsters with a glance—but none of that prepared him for being locked in a bedroom by his mother.“Try for a baby,” she’d said with a wink.Try not to die from embarrassment—Jack had thought instead.Lisa sat at the far end of the bed, fidgeting with the hem of her blouse, cheeks redder than a fire alarm. “I didn’t think… I didn’t mean for things to spiral like that,” she whispered, avoiding his gaze.Jack shrugged, hands behind his head as he leaned back. “That’s just my mom’s temper. Explosive as a volcano, but she means well.”Lisa peeked up. “So… the divorce?”He glanced at her, eyes calm. “Off the table.”A soft silence filled the room, but it wasn’t as tense as before.Lisa’s heart fluttered, just a little. He doesn’t want to separate? And strangely, for the first time, she didn’t want to either. The next morning, Jack was halfway through breakfast when Max called him.
