Leonardo looked between Keith and the three mocking doctors, his desperation finally overriding his uncertainty. "I'll get the water myself."

He rushed out of the ICU, his expensive shoes clicking frantically against the hospital's polished floors. Within minutes, he returned carrying a bottle of ice-cold water that had been chilled in the medical staff's refrigerator.

"Here," Leonardo said breathlessly, handing the bottle to Keith with trembling hands. "Fresh from the refrigerator, just like you asked."

"Thank you," Keith replied calmly, accepting the bottle with steady confidence.

Dr. Morrison immediately erupted with mocking laughter. "This is insane! How can you give cold water to someone who's already shivering from hypothermia-like symptoms?"

"Look at her!" Dr. Peterson pointed at the little girl's trembling form. "She's clearly suffering from some kind of systemic shock, and you want to make her colder?"
