Emilia stormed out onto the bustling city street, fury crackling off her in waves. Denver hurried after her, nearly stumbling in his rush to catch up. Neon’s glittering lights mocked them both, a painful reminder of the humiliation they'd just endured.

"I can't believe that lowlife dared to humiliate us!" Emilia seethed, her voice echoing down the sidewalk. "He's found some new, rich woman, hasn’t he? That scheming bastard!"

Denver nodded, frustration burning behind his eyes. "It makes sense. How else could a penniless parasite like Keith even dream of getting into Neon’s VIP suites? He's probably been cozying up to her behind your back."

Emilia’s manicured hands clenched into fists, nails digging sharply into her palms. "He thinks he can walk away so easily? Well, I’ll show him. He'll regret ever crossing the Richardson family."

Denver lifted an eyebrow, curiosity flickering. "And what exactly do you have in mind?"

A cruel smirk tugged at Emilia’s lips. "First, I'm filing for divorce. Then, I’ll force him to sell every drop of that worthless blood of his to compensate me. Let’s see how well he lives without our family's support!"

Denver chuckled darkly. "Perfect. Let’s drain him dry. After all, parasites deserve to be treated exactly as they treat others."

Emilia laughed bitterly, eyes glittering with malice. "Exactly. Soon, he’ll beg me to take him back. And when he does, I’ll crush him completely."

They hailed a passing cab, their twisted laughter fading into the distance as Neon Restaurant receded behind them.

Inside the luxurious third-floor suite, Linda carefully removed a small, intricately designed vial from her purse. The clear liquid shimmered softly beneath the suite’s gentle lighting.

"Keith, this is the medicine we developed based on your ideas. It took us thousands of experiments to perfect it, and we believe it can reactivate your abilities."

Linda said, her voice tinged with excitement as she handed the vial to Keith. For the past few years, she had been waiting for this very moment.

Keith accepted the vial, feeling a surge of emotion. Three years ago, he had been poisoned and ambushed by his enemies, losing all his powers. Could he really reclaim everything he had lost, all thanks to years of relentless research?

Without hesitation, he raised the potion to his lips and drank it down. A rush of warmth surged through his body immediately, like lightning streaking across the sky. Energy pulsed through his veins, illuminating every nerve ending with a glorious sensation of power.

He flexed his fingers, feeling strength flood back into his muscles. "It’s working, Linda! My strength—it’s returning!"

Linda beamed at him, relief washing across her features. "I knew it would."

But suddenly, a slight frown formed on his face.

"My power is returning... but not completely," Keith said with a furrowed brow. "The medicine works, but the toxin they used on me was too strong. It didn’t fully purge all the poison from my system."

Linda's expression darkened. "How could that be? But… we’ve used up all the Sacred Heart Herb during the experiments. It's a key ingredient — its components can't be synthesized; they can only be extracted directly from the herb itself..."

Keith let out a soft sigh. "The Sacred Heart Herb... it's far too rare. How long would it take for us to gather more?"

Linda paused, then said hesitantly, "We... don’t know. The lab originally acquired it through a mysterious channel. We’re not even sure we can get in touch with them again..."

Keith looked at Linda, who was clearly troubled, and suddenly understood. He smiled faintly. "Don’t worry, Linda. That mysterious supplier — it's Cross Pharmaceuticals. And it just so happens... it's one of my companies."

Linda’s eyes widened in surprise. "You own Cross Pharmaceuticals? Why haven’t you ever mentioned it?"

A faint, bitter smile crossed Keith’s lips. "I kept my wealth hidden intentionally. The Richardson family—their pharmaceutical business has only thrived because of my quiet support. But now, it's time I used it openly."

Linda’s voice hardened. "You’ve been secretly supporting them, and yet they treated you like trash?"

Keith laughed sharply, humorless and cold. "Irony, isn’t it? They thought they were helping me, but all along, I was their silent benefactor."

Suddenly, Keith's phone buzzed insistently on the table, breaking their conversation. The caller ID showed an unknown number. Curious, Keith answered it.

A desperate voice spoke immediately, trembling with anxiety. "Is this the Miracle Maker? Please, you must help me! My father—he’s critically ill. No one else can save him!"

Keith hesitated, doubt flickering briefly in his heart. Could he really trust his partially restored power? But another thought followed—what better way to test his strength?

“I’m not at full capacity,” Keith said. “If I try and fail—”

“Even if there’s a one percent chance, please,” the man pleaded.

The revelation about the new pharmaceutical company hit both Keith and Viola like a physical blow. They exchanged a quick glance, their earlier tensions momentarily forgotten in the face of this business threat."Tell us more," Viola said urgently, turning back to Harrison. "What else do you know about this company?""Well," Harrison began, clearly enjoying being the bearer of important information, "from what I've heard, they're bringing in doctors who are known for creating miracles. These aren't your average physicians – they're supposedly at the cutting edge of medical innovation. People who've been treating supposedly incurable conditions."Keith's suspicion immediately spiked. "Miracle workers? That's quite a claim.""That's what they're marketing themselves as," Harrison confirmed. "They're positioning themselves as the answer for patients who've exhausted all other options.""Do you know who owns this company?" Keith asked, his voice tight.Harrison nodded and looked around th

"Do you have any idea how worried I've been?" Keith continued, stepping closer. "You didn't tell anyone where you were going, who you were with, when you'd be back—""I told Linda I was going to dinner," Yona interrupted. "And why would you be worried? I'm nobody important. Just your ex-wife's cousin who you're helping out of charity."Keith flinched at that. "That's not fair.""Isn't it?" Yona asked, her voice hardening. "Oh, by the way, the party is tomorrow. The Blackwater anniversary party. I assume you remember you agreed to go.""I don't care about the party right now," Keith said dismissively. "I care about where you've been and whether you're safe—""Well, as you can see, I'm perfectly fine," Yona said, spreading her arms. "No harm done. Marcus was a perfect gentleman, we had a nice dinner, and I came home. Happy?""No, I'm not happy," Keith said, his frustration evident. "You confessed that you had feelings for me just last night, and now you're going out on dates with strang

"Yona! You look absolutely stunning.""Thank you," Yona said, sliding into the seat across from him. "You mentioned this place has great Italian food?""The best in the city," Marcus confirmed enthusiastically. "I'm so glad you decided to come. I wasn't sure you would after our first meeting.""Why's that?" Yona asked, studying the menu to avoid his intense gaze."You seemed very cautious," Marcus said with a slight smile. "Like you weren't sure you could trust me.""I didn't know you," Yona pointed out. "I still don't, really.""Well, then let's fix that," Marcus said, leaning forward with interest. "Tell me about yourself, Yona Richardson. What do you do?"As the even

Keith stood up abruptly, pacing across the room with agitation. His mind was racing, and he couldn't quite identify the emotion churning in his chest, but it felt uncomfortably like anger."So she just went out? With some random guy she met today?" Keith demanded."I guess so," Linda replied, setting down her journal completely now. "Why? Is something wrong?""Yes, something's wrong!" Keith said, his voice rising. "She told me last night that she had feelings for me. She confessed that she liked me, that it was too painful to watch me with other women. And now, less than twenty-four hours later, she's going on a date?"Linda's eyebrows rose. "She told you she had feelings for you?""Last night in the kitchen," Keith confirmed, still pacing. "She said she liked me and that's why she wanted to move out. She was practically crying about it.""And what did you say to her?" Linda asked carefully."I didn't get a chance to say anything!" Keith exclaimed. "She just told me to pretend I didn'

The entire Kappel fortune, a place in one of the most powerful families in the country, all in exchange for marrying Cynthia. It was the kind of proposal that would make most men jump at the opportunity without hesitation. But Keith wasn't most men."I'll think about it," Keith said finally, meeting Larsson's expectant gaze.Larsson's expression soured immediately. "Think about it? What's there to think about, Dr. Cross?""Whether or not I can fall in love with Cynthia," Keith replied honestly. "I don't know if that's something that will happen for me.""Love can grow with time," Larsson argued, waving his hand dismissively. "Arranged marriages have worked for centuries—""I'm not interested in an arranged marriage," Keith interrupted. "Cynthia is wonderful – she's fun, beautiful, intelligent, and incredibly brave. But I need to be sure about my feelings before I make any
