Emilia stormed out onto the bustling city street, fury crackling off her in waves. Denver hurried after her, nearly stumbling in his rush to catch up. Neon’s glittering lights mocked them both, a painful reminder of the humiliation they'd just endured.
"I can't believe that lowlife dared to humiliate us!" Emilia seethed, her voice echoing down the sidewalk. "He's found some new, rich woman, hasn’t he? That scheming bastard!"
Denver nodded, frustration burning behind his eyes. "It makes sense. How else could a penniless parasite like Keith even dream of getting into Neon’s VIP suites? He's probably been cozying up to her behind your back."
Emilia’s manicured hands clenched into fists, nails digging sharply into her palms. "He thinks he can walk away so easily? Well, I’ll show him. He'll regret ever crossing the Richardson family."
Denver lifted an eyebrow, curiosity flickering. "And what exactly do you have in mind?"
A cruel smirk tugged at Emilia’s lips. "First, I'm filing for divorce. Then, I’ll force him to sell every drop of that worthless blood of his to compensate me. Let’s see how well he lives without our family's support!"
Denver chuckled darkly. "Perfect. Let’s drain him dry. After all, parasites deserve to be treated exactly as they treat others."
Emilia laughed bitterly, eyes glittering with malice. "Exactly. Soon, he’ll beg me to take him back. And when he does, I’ll crush him completely."
They hailed a passing cab, their twisted laughter fading into the distance as Neon Restaurant receded behind them.
Inside the luxurious third-floor suite, Linda carefully removed a small, intricately designed vial from her purse. The clear liquid shimmered softly beneath the suite’s gentle lighting.
"Keith, this potion should reactivate your powers," Linda explained gently, placing the vial into his waiting hand. "Drink it carefully. The potency is incredibly strong."
Keith studied the small vial, his heart quickening. Could this really be it? Could he truly reclaim his lost strength?
Without hesitation, he raised the potion to his lips and drank it down. A rush of warmth surged through his body immediately, like lightning streaking across the sky. Energy pulsed through his veins, illuminating every nerve ending with a glorious sensation of power.
He flexed his fingers, feeling strength flood back into his muscles. "It’s working, Linda! My strength—it’s returning!"
Linda beamed at him, relief washing across her features. "I knew it would."
But the joy faded swiftly. A sudden cold realization crashed over Keith. His body stiffened, eyes darkening.
"It’s not enough," he muttered, frustration lining his features. "My powers are only partially restored."
Linda’s face fell, worry creasing her brow. "What do you mean? It should have worked completely."
Keith exhaled slowly, clenching his fists, feeling the frustrating limitation within. "My original strength was immense. One dose wasn’t sufficient. We need more potion, Linda."
Linda bit her lip anxiously. "The ingredients are incredibly rare. It could take weeks, maybe months to gather enough."
Keith’s expression darkened thoughtfully. "There might be a quicker solution. My pharmaceutical company here in the city—Cross Pharmaceuticals. It's the largest in Chicago."
Linda’s eyes widened in surprise. "You own Cross Pharmaceuticals? Why haven’t you ever mentioned it?"
A faint, bitter smile crossed Keith’s lips. "I kept my wealth hidden intentionally. The Richardson family—their pharmaceutical business has only thrived because of my quiet support. But now, it's time I used it openly."
Linda’s voice hardened. "You’ve been secretly supporting them, and yet they treated you like trash?"
Keith laughed sharply, humorless and cold. "Irony, isn’t it? They thought they were helping me, but all along, I was their silent benefactor."
Suddenly, Keith's phone buzzed insistently on the table, breaking their conversation. The caller ID showed an unknown number. Curious, Keith answered it.
A desperate voice spoke immediately, trembling with anxiety. "Is this the Miracle Maker? Please, you must help me! My father—he’s critically ill. No one else can save him!"
Keith hesitated, doubt flickering briefly in his heart. Could he really trust his partially restored power? But another thought followed—what better way to test his strength?
“I’m not at full capacity,” Keith said. “If I try and fail—”
“Even if there’s a one percent chance, please,” the man pleaded.

Keith's expression remained as calm as still water, but Linda's face flushed with indignation at the blatant disrespect. Her voice cut through the tension like a blade."How dare you show such disrespect toward the Miracle Doctor!" she snapped, her eyes blazing with fury. "Do you have any idea who you're speaking to?"The middle-aged man crossed his arms stubbornly, his skepticism written across his weathered features. "Listen, lady, I don't care what credentials you wave around. This kid looks like he just graduated high school, not medical school!"Just then, the suite's double doors opened with a soft whoosh, and a striking woman entered the room. She possessed an air of natural authority that seemed to command respect from everyone present, her designer business suit tailored to perfection."Chris," she said coolly, her voice carrying the weight of generations of breeding and power, "what exactly is going on here?"The middle-aged man—Chris—immediately straightened, though his exp

Keith folded the divorce papers with deliberate precision and handed them to Linda, who accepted them with a knowing smile. The simple gesture sent Emilia into a fury that burned hotter than molten steel."You cheating bastard!" Emilia shrieked, her voice echoing through the hospital lobby like a banshee's wail. "I knew it! You've been sleeping with this woman behind my back! That's why you signed those papers so easily, isn't it?"Her finger jabbed accusingly at Linda, trembling with rage. "How long have you been carrying on this disgusting affair? How long have you been making a fool of me?"Keith's expression remained glacially cold as he regarded his soon-to-be ex-wife. "Not everyone is like you, Emilia."The words hit like a physical blow, and Emilia's face contorted with humiliated fury. "What's that supposed to mean, you worthless piece of garbage?"Linda stepped closer to Keith, her smile radiant and genuine. "If Keith were willing to be with me, I would agree without hesitati

Melaine snapped, jabbing her finger at Emilia's chest. "Call Denver right now! Make him fix this mess!"With trembling fingers, Emilia dialed Denver's number, pressing the phone desperately to her ear. The phone rang once, twice, three times before going to voicemail. She tried again with the same result."He's not answering," Emilia whispered, her voice barely audible."Not answering?" Melaine's voice reached a pitch that could shatter glass. Keith leaned back in his chair, studying the phone with newfound interest. "What's your name?""Ivan Kappel," the voice replied, trembling with desperation. "I'm the heir of the Kappel family. Please, sir, my father doesn't have much time left."Keith raised an eyebrow, glancing at Linda. The name meant nothing to him—in his prime, families of such insignificance had been beneath his notice, like ants scurrying around the feet of giants.Linda leaned forward, her voice low but audible. "The Kappel family owns assets worth several billion dollars. They're an S-tier family from the provincial capital—barely wealthy enough to know about your true identity."Barely at the threshold, Keith thought, amused by the irony. Once upon a time, I wouldn't have bothered with anyone below triple-A tier."Send me the address," Keith said into the phone. "I'll come tomorrow.""Thank you! Thank you so much!" Ivan's relief was palpable through the speaker. "We've reserved the entire top floor of St. Aug
