Emilia stormed out onto the bustling city street, fury crackling off her in waves. Denver hurried after her, nearly stumbling in his rush to catch up. Neon’s glittering lights mocked them both, a painful reminder of the humiliation they'd just endured.

"I can't believe that lowlife dared to humiliate us!" Emilia seethed, her voice echoing down the sidewalk. "He's found some new, rich woman, hasn’t he? That scheming bastard!"

Denver nodded, frustration burning behind his eyes. "It makes sense. How else could a penniless parasite like Keith even dream of getting into Neon’s VIP suites? He's probably been cozying up to her behind your back."

Emilia’s manicured hands clenched into fists, nails digging sharply into her palms. "He thinks he can walk away so easily? Well, I’ll show him. He'll regret ever crossing the Richardson family."

Denver lifted an eyebrow, curiosity flickering. "And what exactly do you have in mind?"

A cruel smirk tugged at Emilia’s lips. "First, I'm filing for divorce. Then, I’ll force him to sell every drop of that worthless blood of his to compensate me. Let’s see how well he lives without our family's support!"

Denver chuckled darkly. "Perfect. Let’s drain him dry. After all, parasites deserve to be treated exactly as they treat others."

Emilia laughed bitterly, eyes glittering with malice. "Exactly. Soon, he’ll beg me to take him back. And when he does, I’ll crush him completely."

They hailed a passing cab, their twisted laughter fading into the distance as Neon Restaurant receded behind them.

Inside the luxurious third-floor suite, Linda carefully removed a small, intricately designed vial from her purse. The clear liquid shimmered softly beneath the suite’s gentle lighting.

"Keith, this is the medicine we developed based on your ideas. It took us thousands of experiments to perfect it, and we believe it can reactivate your abilities."

Linda said, her voice tinged with excitement as she handed the vial to Keith. For the past few years, she had been waiting for this very moment.

Keith accepted the vial, feeling a surge of emotion. Three years ago, he had been poisoned and ambushed by his enemies, losing all his powers. Could he really reclaim everything he had lost, all thanks to years of relentless research?

Without hesitation, he raised the potion to his lips and drank it down. A rush of warmth surged through his body immediately, like lightning streaking across the sky. Energy pulsed through his veins, illuminating every nerve ending with a glorious sensation of power.

He flexed his fingers, feeling strength flood back into his muscles. "It’s working, Linda! My strength—it’s returning!"

Linda beamed at him, relief washing across her features. "I knew it would."

But suddenly, a slight frown formed on his face.

"My power is returning... but not completely," Keith said with a furrowed brow. "The medicine works, but the toxin they used on me was too strong. It didn’t fully purge all the poison from my system."

Linda's expression darkened. "How could that be? But… we’ve used up all the Sacred Heart Herb during the experiments. It's a key ingredient — its components can't be synthesized; they can only be extracted directly from the herb itself..."

Keith let out a soft sigh. "The Sacred Heart Herb... it's far too rare. How long would it take for us to gather more?"

Linda paused, then said hesitantly, "We... don’t know. The lab originally acquired it through a mysterious channel. We’re not even sure we can get in touch with them again..."

Keith looked at Linda, who was clearly troubled, and suddenly understood. He smiled faintly. "Don’t worry, Linda. That mysterious supplier — it's Cross Pharmaceuticals. And it just so happens... it's one of my companies."

Linda’s eyes widened in surprise. "You own Cross Pharmaceuticals? Why haven’t you ever mentioned it?"

A faint, bitter smile crossed Keith’s lips. "I kept my wealth hidden intentionally. The Richardson family—their pharmaceutical business has only thrived because of my quiet support. But now, it's time I used it openly."

Linda’s voice hardened. "You’ve been secretly supporting them, and yet they treated you like trash?"

Keith laughed sharply, humorless and cold. "Irony, isn’t it? They thought they were helping me, but all along, I was their silent benefactor."

Suddenly, Keith's phone buzzed insistently on the table, breaking their conversation. The caller ID showed an unknown number. Curious, Keith answered it.

A desperate voice spoke immediately, trembling with anxiety. "Is this the Miracle Maker? Please, you must help me! My father—he’s critically ill. No one else can save him!"

Keith hesitated, doubt flickering briefly in his heart. Could he really trust his partially restored power? But another thought followed—what better way to test his strength?

“I’m not at full capacity,” Keith said. “If I try and fail—”

“Even if there’s a one percent chance, please,” the man pleaded.

The police officers left, their footsteps echoing through the mansion's grand hallway. Dr. Henderson packed up his equipment quickly, clearly eager to escape the toxic atmosphere."I'll be filing my report about this incident," Dr. Henderson said nervously. "The medical board will need to investigate what happened here.""Don't bother," Dr. Matthews said dismissively. "There's nothing to investigate. The patient had an unexplained reaction to a routine procedure. It happens sometimes."Dr. Matthews gathered his own equipment, his movements brisk and professional. "Mr. Richardson, I suggest you focus on finding a long-term care facility for your son. He's going to need specialized attention.""You're all abandoning us," Emilia whispered, watching the doctors prepare to leave."We're not abandoning you," Dr. Matthews replied coldly. "We're simply acknowledging our limitations. Modern medicine can't cure everything, young lady."Within minutes, both doctors had left, taking most of their

Keith maintained his composed posture as the police officers continued their questioning, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to the Richardson family's increasing desperation. The room felt charged with tension, everyone waiting for someone to provide answers that made sense.Officer Bradley looked between Keith and the Richardson family with growing confusion."Mr. Cross, you're saying you had absolutely no hand in Laurent's current condition?""None whatsoever," Keith replied steadily."I was coerced into coming here today, threatened with continued theft from my bank accounts if I refused to donate blood. I gave Laurent the same blood I've been giving him for years."Edward's face was flushed with frustration as he stepped forward, gesturing wildly."Officer, that makes no sense! If Keith's blood has been compatible with my son for years, what could possibly cause these complications now?""I don't know," Keith replied with a slight shrug. "Medical mysteries happen all the time.""

The call ended, and Emilia turned to glare at Keith with triumphant satisfaction. "You think you're so smart? Let's see how smart you are when you're sitting in a jail cell."Keith's expression didn't change. "And what exactly are you going to tell them?""The truth!" Emilia declared. "That you poisoned my brother!""Did I?" Keith asked mildly. "Because I distinctly remember being forced to come here under threat of financial ruin. I remember being coerced into donating blood to Laurent against my will. I remember being blackmailed and humiliated by your family."Edward looked up from his chair, hope flickering in his eyes. "The police will make you talk. They'll force you to give us the antidote.""Will they?" Keith asked. "On what grounds? What crime have I committed?""Poisoning!" Emilia shrieked."Prove it," Keith said calmly. For the next two hours, the mansion was filled with tense waiting. Edward paced back and forth like a caged animal, checking on Laurent every few minutes. E

Keith stood calmly in the center of the room, his rolled-up sleeves and steady posture making it clear he was prepared for whatever Edward might throw at him.The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife as father and daughter stared at him with a mixture of rage and growing desperation.Emilia's voice cracked as she screamed at him, her face contorted with fury."You're cruel! You're absolutely heartless! How can you stand there and watch my brother dying while making demands?"Keith's expression remained unchanged, his voice cold and measured."Cruel? That's rich coming from you, Emilia. Do you remember how you mocked me? How you called me your personal blood bag? How you said I was worthless trash who should be grateful for the privilege of serving your family?""That's different!" Emilia protested, tears streaming down her face."Is it?" Keith asked, tilting his head slightly."You tried to enslave me with your demands. You humiliated me, blackmailed me, and treated

Keith's smirk widened slightly. "I think you know exactly what's happening, Edward. The question is: what are you willing to do about it?""Stop playing games!" Edward roared, his fists clenching at his sides. "Tell us what you did to Laurent!""I didn't do anything to Laurent," Keith replied with infuriating calmness. "I simply gave him my blood, exactly as you demanded.""Then how do you know how to cure him?" Emilia demanded, her voice cracking with desperation.Keith paused for a long moment, letting the tension build before he finally spoke. "Because I know what needs to be done to reverse his condition. But it will only happen on my terms.""Your terms?" Edward's voice was dangerous. "You piece of garbage, you don't get to make terms! My son is dying!""Actually," Keith said coolly, "I'm the only one here who can save him. That puts me in a rather unique position, doesn't it?"Dr. Matthews stepped forward, his medical ethics overriding his confusion. "Mr. Cross, if you have info

Don't leave me like this."Dr. Matthews and Dr. Henderson stood awkwardly near their equipment, both men looking defeated and utterly helpless. All their medical expertise, all their years of training, had proven useless against whatever had caused Laurent's collapse.Keith remained in his corner, leaning casually agains
