Josh turned to the children; his eyes were closed, almost like he was praying. His hands were by his side— no one knew what he was doing, but they could see that he was up to something.

The moment he opened his eyes, they had a jade glow, but it was clear that no one could notice it. He turned to the boys in front of him and began the examination.

His eyes went through their body suddenly, he paused when he spotted something on their neck—‘Black veins.’

Josh touched the vein, and he could feel that there was something off about the vein and the way it was on both their necks.

‘Since when did this get to Sintril?’ Josh could recognize what was making the children sick.

He took a scalpel, and he made a small cut on both their arms.

The brown-haired girl was uneasy watching them; she didn't know what Josh was doing or how he was going to help the twins.

“Sister, I don’t know how this man is going to be able to save them. He is acting like a madman.” She was looking at the red-haired lady.

Johnson uneasily turned to the sisters; he had a weird smile on his face.

“Listen to your sister, please, Miss—”

“We will give him a chance; after all, he has his life at stake here.” The red-haired lady smiled at her sister. She turned to Johnson. “Now, you, Mr. Johnson, why the rush? Don't tell me you're scared....”

Johnson smiled as he turned to look at Josh and the children. “Me, scared? There is no way I would be scared of anything.”

The red-haired woman turned back to Josh. “Fine then, we will wait.”

Josh had drawn blood from the twins; he was looking at them. He took something that looked more like a pill and broke it into the cuts he made.

His eyes were still glowing; it was like he was waiting for something.

Suddenly, the black veins appeared everywhere on the children’s bodies. They got paler as they slowly started convulsing.

The brown-haired girl started panicking as she held her sister.

“He's killing them!”

“Young Mistress, you shouldn't let this madman continue with what he is doing; he will kill the boys,” Johnson spoke up; he was trying to see if he would get something to happen.

The red-haired lady was looking at Josh; he wasn't fazed, not even one bit, and he was still working on the children. So she wasn't going to panic or risk cutting things halfway.

“Let’s give him time.”

Back with Josh, he was looking at the children, and a faint smile could be seen on his face.

‘What sick animal did this to children?’

He turned to Rose, who was standing there with his bag; he opened his palm.

She brought out a small case and handed it to him. Josh opened it and brought out 14 crystal acu-needles. Without wasting time, he placed them on different points on the children’s bodies.

Johnson scoffed when he saw what Josh was doing; he didn't know what he would call it.

“Why don't you stop this already and give up, Josh? Those kids are going to die!” He said.

Josh paid no heed to the man; he was still looking at the children. He placed the last four needles on their bodies, looking at them.

Almost like a miracle, the black veins began fading, and the children’s pale skin began turning back to normal. The black blood seen in the vein began flowing out of the cuts Josh had made.

Josh took two shots from the box; there was a vial marked there where he took something and injected it into their bodies one by one.

Josh stood still, looking at the children, his focus on them since they hadn't made a noise.

Johnson had a smile on his face; he didn't want to show his happiness, knowing that he had won.

“I told you, Josh, let them take those children to the

hospital, but you decided that you would—”

Suddenly, one of the twins let out a sneeze, and the other followed with a cough.

Josh had a smile on his face, looking at the children, slowly turning to the people behind him.

“They will be fine; they are currently out of danger.”

Johnson was shaking; his body couldn't control itself.

‘How did he heal them?’ Fear had consumed him; there was no way anyone would have told him that Josh was going to be able to save the kids.

Josh took out the acu-pins and placed them back in the box.

“Rose, the moment they open their eyes. Please give them vitamin supplements and make sure they have something sweet to eat. That nasty poison leaves a bitter taste in the victims' mouths. Since they are kids, I wouldn't want them to suffer.”

He smiled as he looked at Rose; the young lady nodded her head.

Josh turned to the sisters as he walked closer.

“Did you say poison?” The brown-haired sister asked; she stared at Josh.

Josh nodded his head. “Yes, it is a bioweapon, an illegal poison made here in our beloved continent of Kaguna, designed to destroy one’s body slowly. It only got to this level because of their age; older people like us would have died silently.”

He smiled as he looked at the brown-haired girl; the young lady was flustered and embarrassed because of the way she had yelled at Josh earlier.

“I am so sorry for my attitude; I was only worried about the twins.”

Josh smiled as he bowed his head. “I understand; anyone would be worried when they see their loved one close to death’s door.”

He turned to the red-haired lady, who had a smile on her face.

“Mr. Josh, I knew I was intrigued when I saw your unwavering composure.” She smiled as she stretched out her hand.

Josh took the hand; he kissed it slightly. “Well, it is not professional for someone like me to panic in situations like this. Ms—”

“Prince, Claire Prince.” She smiled.

Josh was surprised; he looked at her, then at her sister. “I wonder why the great Prince Dynasty decided to come to this clinic instead of a hospital.”

Claire let out a sigh; she turned to her sister. Before turning back to Josh. “Someone close to us said we should bring them here.”

Josh nodded; he didn't know who it was, but he clearly knew the person knew him well enough to tell them to come to his clinic.

“Well, whoever it was has a good heart. He saved those kids from—” Josh’s words were cut short when he noticed that Johnson was trying to slip away through all the noise.

“That wasn't the deal, Mr. Johnson.” He smiled, causing Claire and her sister to turn.

Johnson paused in his tracks; he was sweating. He forced on a smile, trying to make sure that he wouldn't let them see him nervous.

“I was just leaving; there was no need for me to remain here after all this.” He stuttered. “C’mon, Josh, don't you think it is a bit much to have me locked up for something that small?”

Josh nodded; he was looking at Johnson with a smile on his face.

“I know, but you see, the main reason why I wanted to have you locked up isn't because you called me a fraud. I know you have been bitter since I was given this clinic, and you have been looking for ways to make sure I would be thrown under the bus.”

Johnson didn't want him to finish; he raised his hand, trying to speak. “That isn't the—”

“I know, I know. But if you were so petty as to inject children with a dosage that their little fragile bodies couldn't handle, then. Heaven knows what you are ready to do to an adult to make sure you prove a point.”

Claire and her sister turned to Johnson; they were shocked to hear that.

“He did what?!” Both said in unison.

Johnson swallowed hard, his body drenched in sweat.

“What did you think I wouldn't notice?” Josh had a villainous smile on his face. “Come on, even you should learn to hide the empty vial after use.”

Josh pointed to something on the floor. Johnson looked at the vial; he couldn't stop shaking as he turned to look at Josh.

“Now, I would want to know.” Josh’s tone changed; he sounded scarier and more serious. “What made you think it would be a good idea to play with the lives of children?”
