The ridge exploded in fire, Victor’s men surged from the eastern treeline, rifles blazing, blades flashing, their horns howling like carrion birds. The wolves met them with a defiant roar, their guns spitting flame, their blood spraying across the dirt.

“CHARGE!” Roland thundered, his blade carving the night, Marcus was already ahead, his revolver cracking, his curses tearing from his throat. “Split their guts! Make them choke on wolf blood!”
