CHAPTER 4

Mia goes to her room when she wakes up unconsciously inside the storage room.

" Why did I always end up having some nightmares? I can't just handle it, it was getting too much for me because it was getting scarier and scarier. The dreams were so unreal like they happened. But something was telling me it was not. The feeling was just weird.” Mia was in deep thought thinking about her dream. 

Suddenly, her phone rang abrupting her thoughts.

" Who is calling me this late at night?” Mia looked at her phone screen who was calling her, and saw it was John, her crush.

" OMG! Why John is calling me late at this hour?” she had a feeling of nervousness, and excitement.

Mia didn't know how to react properly, so she immediately picked up her phone to answer the call.

Mia said, " Hello?”

  Mia didn't know why John was calling her so late, she is not in herself because she is can't get over that her long-time crush is calling her.

Mia said, " Hello?” she tried to sound calm. 

  Mia waited for John's masculine voice.

“I was trying to call you since earlier!” he exclaimed.

  Mia was shocked to learn that John was trying to reach her for a long time but could not contact her. Mia could not stop but screamed because of the butterflies that she felt in her stomach.

" Ummm,” she replied, trying to act casual. 

" Can I help you with something?” John didnt wasted time and got straight to the point. 

Mia said, " What is it?”

“I just need to inform you about something.” 

Mia said, " What is it?

“Our teacher gave us some assignments.” he replied back.

Mia said, " I don't think I recall having some answer to any assignment. I don't remember that we had an assignment yesterday.”

  Mia thinks that John is just calling her to get some answers for their assignments. But she didn't remember that their teacher had given them some homework to do at their home.

Mia said, " Then what homework are you talking about?”

“No, our teacher didn't give us some homework to do at home.  You gave an excuse letter that you could not go to school because you were sick last week. Right?”

  Mia almost jumped in joy because she felt that John is a big concern about her.

“ Yeah, I remember,” she replied softly.

“Then I think you missed an assignment that was given to us last week.” john informed her. 

" I didn't know about it. I would ask our teacher about it if I could still take it.” mia frowned.

“You can still do it since it would be checked on Friday.,” john reassured her.

Mia blushed and felt relieved, “thank you for telling me,” she thanked him.

“You  are welcome. I just wanted to make sure you didn’t miss any assignments,” john replied her.

Mia didnt want to end the conversation but she said, trying to prolong their conversation. 

“ thank you for offering to help me with the assignment. I really appreciate it.”

“ No worries. I will send you the assignments so you can start working on it. And if you need any help, feel free to ask,” john said .

 Mia was enjoying talking to John, and didn't want to end the phone call badly. So she just continued to be talkative to make sure that their conversation would be longer.

“You are welcome. I would send you the assignments that I am talking about so that maybe you could start working on it. When you needed my help you can message or call me if you wanted.”

Mia said, " Wait! Really?

  Mia could not believe that John is offering to help her with her assignment. She knows that she didn't want to lose that kind of opportunity since it was her crush for a long time.

“Thank you again,” mia said showing her gratitude.

“I am just thankful to you for concern and help you did to me, though its small for me but it really helped me.”

  Mia ended the call and wait for John to forward the assignment. When she received it, she immediately started doing it.

Mia said, " It's so hard to do. Especially since I was not present on the day that it was discussed.

  While Mia was working on the assignment. She was hearing some voices calling her out.

Mia said, " What is that voice? Who is the one talking?”

The unknow voice called her" Mia... Mia... Come in here!”

" Maybe I was just hearing things because I am tired already. But I need to finish this assignment so that I won't lose any grades.” she looked around for the last time but she couldn’t see anything around her. 

  Mia continued to work on her assignment, but the voice keeps on bothering her.

The unknow voice murmured, " Mia... Mia…”

  Mia could not focus as the voices keeps on hunting her, that is why she just decided to sleep and just continued it the next morning.
