The Night before Departure (II)

After hugging for a minute, Aria, Aldwin, and Alton sat down on their chairs, but this time, Alton pointed at the chair next to him and looked at Maria. "Sister, you can sit here with me."

Maria looked towards Aria and nodded to this, so without saying anything, she sat down on the chair next to Alton. As all four of them started talking, Maria was still nervous at the start. Still, after talking for a couple of minutes, she finally relaxed and saw this; all three of them, Alton, Aria and Aldwin were happy.

As they were chatting, Alton looked at his father. "Father there were not a lot of people today even uncle was not here." Aldwin looked at his son and answered: "Well, I called this dinner on short notice, so some people informed me beforehand that they were busy somewhere else and your uncle was one of them." Alton nodded to this, and then Aldwin asked, "Why did you ask about your uncle did you want to meet him before leaving."

Alton smiled and answered, "No, nothing much I was just asking." All of them then kept on talking until late at night. As it was getting late, Aldwin rang a bell, and then a person entered the room wearing a three-piece suit with black shoes; the person had mixed black and white hair, which showed that he was getting older with average looks.

This person was none other than their family Lucian; he was the Teren family butler; as Lucian entered the room, he looked around the room and saw that Maria was sitting next to Alton on the chair, and it was bad for a servant to sit next or even with their master. He was about to scold Maria because the butler was the head of all the servants in the house, but then Aldwin called him, so he looked at Aldwin and answered: "Yes, Master."

Aldwin then said, "The Teren family is going to be adopting Maria so throw all of her things from the servant quarter and open the room on the family floor for her as well send the letter to main family heads that tomorrow morning they need be there without any excuse but in letter say that it's urgent and nothing else because I will be announcing about this tomorrow and then enter her name in the family book as she will be leaving with Alton tomorrow so you need to get all the important things ready by tomorrow and get the female family dress made of her size."

Alton and Aria smiled and nodded as they had expected this, but there was a confused expression on Maria and Lucian's faces. Lucian looked at Maria, thinking, 'She is joining the Teren family, but why and how did this happen.' Aldwin noticed this and asked, "Lucian did you understand what I have said to you."

Lucian was brought back with this, and he nodded to Aldwin with a confused face, but before he could say anything, Aria looked at him and said, "You should pick haste as they are not easy tasks."

Lucian nodded and, with confusion, left the room to complete the tasks thinking that he didn't scold her as it could have been his last day in the house because from now on, she is also his master. As soon as Lucian left the room, Maria looked toward Aldwin, and because of habit, she blurred "Master..."

But before she could say anything, Aldwin looked at her with sad eyes, and she understood and corrected herself and said, "Father is it that much necessary to do all this."

Aria's smile disappeared from her face, and she said, "Maria look at me" Maria looked at her, and then Aria continued, "This is necessary to inform all the people that you are Maria Von Teren; from now on only princess of the Teren family so I don't want to hear about this ever again from you do you understand."

Maria nodded as Aria was usually cool-minded and only got angry regarding her family. Maria felt happier than sad because of this; she knew they were serious when they said they would adopt her. Alton nodded, saying, "Sister, this is needed, and you only need to sit back and relax."

Maria nodded, and then Aldwin got up, saying, "I need to get things ready so let's meet in the morning," and then left the room. Aria saw this and smiled; Alton asked, "Mother, what is so funny."

Aria chuckled and then replied, "You know your Father always wanted a daughter, and now he finally has one, so he will probably let Maria have everything in his power, so Maria, we don't want you thinking that you are not a part of this family because that will break our heart." After finishing her words, Aria got up from her chair, kissed Maria and then Alton on their foreheads, and left the room while saying the same reason as Aldwin.

As they left the room, tears came out of Maria's eyes, seeing their feelings, and this time Alton said: "Sister, you need to get used to it; you cannot cry every time you know." Maria looked at Alton and replied, "Alton, thank you for everything; because of you, now I have a family who loves and cherishes me." Alton smiled and hugged her, saying, "You deserve it, so no need for a thank you."

Alton, from the start, was thinking of a way to thank her for all the things, and this was an answer that he came up with, and now he was thanking the voice for this reincarnation.

At the same time, in Teren Mansion, all the mansion staff were confused hearing the situation regarding Maria; some were happy, some were confused, and some were angry about why the Teren family did not choose them.

All of them were gossiping about the reason behind this while doing the work because they also needed to do it.

Butler sent out the invitations, the whole mansion was in a state of panic, and all the servants were doing the work assigned to them.

After hugging for a few minutes, Alton and Maria separated, and then Alton using his shirt, cleaned all the tears and said: "Let's go and see your room; it must have gotten ready by now."

Maria nodded, and then they left the room; all the servants in the mansion were gossiping, seeing them, but Alton didn't bat an eye to this and kept walking, and Maria walked beside him in silence.

Alton and Maria walked up the stairs towards Alton's room because Maria's room was on the right next to Alton's room, and as they reached the room and were about to enter. Alton and Maria heard voices from inside the room.

Voice1 said, "How did Maria do it?"

Voice2 answered, "I don't know but that bi*** must have done something."

Voice1 laughed, and they both started talking badly about Maria and her character.

Alton and Maria heard this and when Alton looked at Maria noticed that her head was down, so he opened the door with a bang and both the maids were shocked seeing Alton and Maria standing there.
