Lucas merely smirked. His eyes showed not a single shred of sympathy as he looked at the two bloody bodies groaning in agony on the floor.
"Groaning like slaughtered pigs..." Lucas muttered coldly, tossing the bloody wooden splinter away casually.
He held his chest, which still felt somewhat tight. This worn-out place had already been contaminated by the fishy stench of blood and a negative aura that disrupted the faint Qi flow around it. If he stayed here any longer to recover from his internal and external injuries, the painful whimpers of these two Wine Family dogs would only disturb his focus and healing process.
Ignoring the two guards who were on the verge of losing consciousness, Lucas turned and stepped out of the squalid room.
Drawing upon the fragments of the former body owner's memories, Lucas navigated the dark corridors of the Wine Family residence. His footsteps were light and quiet, merging seamlessly with the night shadows. He headed toward the main residential area—where a son of an aristocrat truly deserved to live.
In Lucas's past memories, he possessed a 'private room' allocated in a corner of the main building. A place that, in his former illusions, had been a home—the sole sanctuary where he could rest from the cruelty of the outside world.
However, the moment his footsteps came to a halt in front of the target door, Lucas slowly closed his eyes.
A long, ironic sigh escaped his pale lips.
"Besides this body being in a truly pitiful state with so many scars, your fate really was terrible, wasn't it?... Lucas, since I, Long Bai, am now a part of your life... I will start with the Wine family. You can rest in peace in the afterlife... Your name will shake the world, just like my name, Long Bai, did throughout all the realms!"
For as he opened his eyes again, his vision was greeted by a most miserable sight. Before him... looked nothing like a bedroom at all. The place was nothing more than an abandoned junk room.
The wooden door was rotted and tilted, piles of broken second-hand items overflowed onto the threshold, and the pungent, musty stench of dust immediately pierced his nostrils. The condition was almost as pitiful as the place where he had first awakened when Long Bai's soul transmigrated into this body.
'The biological son of the Wine Family Head... yet treated even worse than a servant, thrown into a junk room, and treated as if he didn't exist.' Lucas thought to himself as a cold smirk carved across his face.
"Hahaha... Incredible. The Wine Family truly knows how to treat their own flesh and blood," Lucas whispered in a tone laced with a night-chilling threat.
Lucas stepped inside the dusty junk room. Unaccustomed to seeing his living quarters filthy or scattered in disarray, Lucas began pushing aside the piles of junk and cracked wooden plates. Despite his frail physical condition, Lucas forced himself to discard the debris and tidy up his room.
"How could the former owner of this body stand living in a room like this..." he muttered, yet continued cleaning up...
An hour later.
Exhaustion thoroughly crept back over Lucas. But as his gaze caught sight of a small, dusty wooden box on top of a worn-out table, he looked toward several small glass bottles containing a thick, dark green liquid.
To an immortal cultivator from the Immortal World, the item seemed foreign. However, as Lucas pulled out the bottle stopper and wafted its scent toward his nose, the medical knowledge from his memories began to connect, guided by his natural genius.
"A cheap herbal scent... Is this the external wound-healing medicine used in this mortal realm?" Lucas murmured.
He realized a bitter truth: patching up physical wounds solely by relying on the extremely thin natural Qi in this world would take days. Meanwhile, dangers from people like Young Master Edward could come at any moment. Using this world's physical concoction was the fastest choice to dry the bleeding wounds on his skin.
Lucas unrolled a piece of shabby cloth from the corner of the table, then bit down on the cloth firmly between his jaws. He knew his body's condition all too well; Lucas's nerves were extremely sensitive from years of abuse without proper medical care.
Without a moment's hesitation, Lucas poured the thick green liquid directly over the open gashes and burns across his arms and chest.
CZZZZZZT!
"MMPHHH--! D-Dammit IT BURNS!"
An overwhelming burning and excruciatingly sharp sensation exploded straight across his physical nerves! It felt as though his thin skin was being doused in molten iron that forcibly peeled his flesh away.
Lucas's eyes bulged wide. Veins bulged intensely across his forehead, and cold sweat burst forth, drenching his entire body. Even though his soul belonged to a supreme ruler who had once endured Divine Tribulation Lightning, this mortal human vessel possessed no high tolerance for pain. The intense agony—which he had not felt in an eternity—forced a wild scream out of his throat, fortunately muffled by the cloth clamped in his mouth.
"Ghh... hhh... Aaaargh!"
Lucas groaned violently, his muscles tensing stiffly as the herbal chemical medicine reacted to kill germs and forcibly close his torn skin tissue.
Two minutes passed like hellish torture. Lucas's breathing turned rapid, gasping heavily in the dim silence of the storeroom. He pulled the cloth from his mouth, letting the fabric threads soak with saliva and blood gathered at his lips.
Yet, behind the extraordinary pain that had just crushed his physical nerves, Lucas slowly looked down at his arms. The bleeding wounds were beginning to dry up, forming a thin layer of scabs.
The corners of his pale, trembling lips pulled back up into a chilling, terrifying smile.
"Good..." Lucas whispered in a hoarse voice, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand.
"This pain I haven't felt in such a long time... I will repay it to every single member of the Wine Family who dared to make me scream like a little kid crying and whining for a toy!"

The moans of the bodyguards sprawling across the marble floor were dismissed as nothing more than a passing breeze by Lucas. Even so, the continuous interference from these mortals was beginning to stir a tinge of annoyance in his mind.Maintaining focus while controlling Qi Manifestation required absolute concentration, especially in this filthy mortal realm. The Earth's atmosphere was dreadfully scarce in pure spiritual energy, causing the energy reserves within Lucas's newly awakened dantian to deplete rather quickly. Every single drop of Qi he expended right now was exceedingly precious."Lose focus for even a second because of your barking, and this ice poison will counterattack and destroy his heart," Lucas whispered cold-heartedly.With a short exhale, Lucas extended two fingers on his left hand upward. Though his energy reserves were limited, he was forced to sacrifice a small amount of pure Qi to establish a territorial boundary so no more insects would disturb him.Whoosh!A

Thud! The moment the first Qi needle drove straight into the Tanzhong point, the resulting reaction was utterly terrifying. The scorching heat of Lucas's pure energy collided wildly with the layer of ice poison that had crystallized along the meridians of Richard’s heart. The violent clash between these two opposing forces triggered a tremendous internal shockwave."AARRRRGGGHHHH!"A piercing, breath-severing scream burst freely from Richard's throat. The patriarch's eyes bulged almost out of their sockets, while the veins on his neck and forehead bulged with a bluish tint. He clutched his bare chest, which was now steaming with hot white vapor mixed with a frigid frost. His sturdy frame convulsed violently against the marble floor, shaking uncontrollably as if struck by tens of thousands of volts of electricity."Father!"Evelyn screamed hysterically. Her entire mental defense collapsed in an instant upon seeing her father groaning in agony and vomiting a thick clump of pitch-black,

Evelyn clenched her teeth together so tightly they ground. A fierce conflict raged within her chest—torn between sheer terror for her father's safety and an unextinguished rage toward the mysterious youth before her. Yet, the resolute look in Richard’s eyes and his increasingly labored gasps forced Evelyn to yield. With slow, heavy movements, Evelyn gently supported Richard’s body to lean against a nearby marble pillar, roughly wiping away her tears. She took a few steps back, but her gaze never drifted from Lucas for even a fraction of a second. Her beautiful frame was tense, ready to burst into a volley of curses the moment the youth showed even the slightest suspicious gesture."If you touch the wrong point or make Father’s condition any worse," Evelyn whispered in a trembling, low threat, "I swear I will never let you go."Lucas didn't even turn his gaze to acknowledge her threat. To him, the bluster of a mortal girl was nothing more than a passing breeze. His eyes remained locked

Upon hearing the condition spoken by Lucas so casually, the atmosphere in the magnificent hall of the Vance Family instantly froze. The name "Wine Family" was no ordinary name in Hakward City. They were one of the four top conglomerate giants, an economic pillar possessing political influence as well as a deeply entrenched, octopus-like network of mercenaries. Calling for the destruction of the Wine Family was tantamount to sparking an all-out war that could flatten the entire city!"Ugh-- W-WHAT?!"Richard's eyes bulged wide. The overwhelming shock hit his consciousness so hard that it triggered a violent surge in the cold poison within his heart's meridians. His blood flow was severely obstructed, burning his chest with unbearable pain."Cough! COUGH! COUGH-COUGH!"A violent coughing fit erupted from Richard's throat. The stoic frame of the conglomerate head bent double in agony, and this time, fresh, dark-red blood splattered across the polished marble floor.CRASH!"Father!" Evely

Upon hearing the answer coming from Lucas' mouth, Richard's brow knitted even deeper. A cold dry chuckle seeped through the gaps of his lips, cutting through the tense silence hanging over the hall."Slightly proficient in the art of medicine? And fighting?" Richard repeated in a tone brimming with skepticism. He tilted his head slightly, staring at Lucas like a senior examiner listening to an absurd joke from a job applicant."Being young and confident is good. But arrogance without a foundation will only make you look stupid," Richard stated firmly, his pressuring aura thickening even further."This world operates by clear rules. A martial arts practitioner spends their entire life just to hone their reflexes and combat techniques. Meanwhile, a medical expert requires decades of study, research, and clinical experience to cure severe illnesses. You want to convince me that at your young age, you have mastered two such extreme fields simultaneously?"To Richard Vance—a man who had na

Evelyn's face instantly flushed, consumed by a sudden burst of rage as she listened to the vulgar insults and baseless accusations from her father's chief bodyguard. Her beautiful eyes narrowed sharply, radiating a flash of emotion capable of freezing anyone before her. She stepped forward, standing directly in front of Marco with her chin raised in the full arrogance of the Vance Family's sole heiress."Shut your mouth, Marco!" Evelyn snapped in a piercing, icy tone, her voice echoing loudly across the estate courtyard."You are merely my father's head of personal security! Your duty is to secure the outer perimeter and execute the Master's orders—not to meddle in my personal affairs, let alone question my decisions!"Marco was somewhat taken aback by Evelyn's fierce reaction, but his ego and position as the estate's trusted veteran made him reluctant to back down."But Young Lady! The Master entrusted me with your safety! Bringing a youth in a tramp's uniform and with an obscure ide
