WHEN FEAR REIGNS

Mr. Zypher’s cries continued, echoing through the room like the wails of a broken man.

His hands clutched his head tightly as the pain tore through him.

His breaths were ragged, and his body trembled uncontrollably. Through the agony, he managed to muffle out, “Please… Marvin… don’t kill me. I don’t want to die.”

Marvin stood still, his glowing sky-blue eyes were fixed on the writhing man before him. His presence was cold and unshaken, like a predator looming over its weakened prey.

“Ohhhh, Mr. Zypher,” Marvin said at last, his voice buzzing with an unnatural energy, which was almost electric.

His front hair near his temples had turned stark white, as though the immense power of the synapticore force he channeled had begun to change him physically.

“You really thought you would outsmart me… didn’t you?” Marvin’s tone was slow and measured, but it carried a sharp edge of danger.

Mr Zypher’s body twitched as he tried to speak. “Stop… please… I’ll do whatever you want… I don’t want to

"It’s been five days now, and I haven’t heard a word about whether or not you and your father are interested in buying back your company for the agreed price. Eight hundred million dollars in cash. Jessica.”Jessica felt her heart pounding in her chest. She didn’t respond, hoping he’d continue without needing an answer.“I’m tired of waiting any longer,” Marvin continued, with a tone that darkened slightly. "So here’s what’s going to happen. You and your father have thirty minutes to come to the Zypher company headquarters so we can discuss business and the way forward. Otherwise, there will be… consequences."Jessica’s stomach tightened. "What do you mean by consequences?" she asked quickly, with a trembling voice.“I could decide against selling bac

I can’t… I can’t take this.”“We have no choice, Dad,” Jessica replied firmly, though her hands were trembling. “Marvin’s not joking. If we don’t show up, he’ll take everything.”Two servants stepped forward, one checking the straps on the wheelchair and the other securing the portable oxygen tank. We’re divided into two strong factions.”He raised two fingers to make his point.“One side—your side—believes you fought bravely. You exposed secret dealings, illegal contracts, and power abuses—especially from the leaders of the Power Families. The entire Council of Elders turned on them that day. You embarrassed them… and you made enemies.”Marvin’s brows furrowed.“But… why would they see me as a threat?” he asked. “I’m based here in Neovalle. I run a solar based tech company. My focus is innovation. I don’t even want anything in Westwood. Even when I finally get to hold the Astralyte… my goals haven’t changed.
