CHAPTER 13: THOMAS TURNS THE TABLE

At that moment, a soft sound was heard.

"Beep!"

The payment was successful, followed by the sound of the receipt being printed. The young cashier who swiped the card for Thomas was a bit confused. Earlier, Adessa had spoken with such conviction, belittling Thomas to the point of worthlessness.
