Back at the luxurious Orlando mansion sat a cold and stern looking Orlando. His hands folded across his chest, his legs crossed on the table as he sat on the roller chair, viewing the beautiful scenery from his mansion.
The buildings seemed to be smaller, and endless. The city lights were colorful, coupled with the lights from the card beneath. However, this didn't make him any better. “Lucas ridiculed me…” he thought, a cold grin on his stern face. It baffled him about how Lucas was able to get away with the land. He just couldn't understand where he got such amount of money to acquire that land. It's not like the land was really a problem to him. For now, he didn't even have any important use for the land, but it annoyed him why a nobody like Lucas would be the one to win the bargain. How?! The pain struck him hard and he couldn't bear it anymore. His hands shattered his table, turning everything upside down and ripping the place apart. His legs flew in the air in frustration. Assuming anyone was near him, that person would have gotten it hot from his vengeful anger. The shame, the frustration, it freaked him out. What he couldn't understand was who Lucas was? Because right now, after the auction event, it was clear he was not the man he thought he was. Also, he wondered what gave him such strength to be able to fight his way up to his office. After that event, he had asked his security how it happened and couldn't still believe what he heard. ‘Lucas?!’ The name kept on ringing in his ears. The pain of the echoes shattered his mind. He was literally loosing his composure even though he was alone. For the very first time, Richard Orlando was worried about one man–one man that wasn't worth anything but suddenly beat him to the bargain? He had sent all his informants and spies to find out who he really was. Because all he knew was a poor son-in-law. Not a man willing to throw away FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS for a piece of land? The excruciating pain and his impatience troubled him. His fist vibrated violently and he shoved it into the wall, forming a hole in it. His legs trembled. His heart thumped against his chest. The air around him was heavy and difficult to breathe. His breath shuddered and came in short gasps. Every forced breathe seemed like thorns in his throat. All he could hear was, ‘Lucas.’ That name, a name he had promised himself and swore on his life to destroy. He just didn't know how? In his dilemma, his phone rang. The sound of the beep echoed across the room and sang in his ears. “What?!” He roared. He didn't even check who it was. “Sir, I just found out that Lucas Ross is now the owner of Fintech company…” His phone slipped off his fingers. The voice on the phone echoed and faded with the end beeping sound of the call. “Unbelievable! No, it can't be! How?!” He dragged the table back up and shoved it into the corner again. The sound of the clattering metals jamming across the wall rang out sharp and cut his ego like a thorn. The shattering objects scattered all over the place and he crashed to the ground in frustration. “How?! Just…” The news hit him like tons of brick on his chest. The sound of it was harder than a punch to the gut. This was a personality blow. An insult to his pride–the one thing he cherished so much. Lucas was now his number enemy. “I'll make it my life's work to bring you down, Lucas Ross. How dare you?” He growled angrily like a roaring lion, pacing endlessly in the room like a villain in a fan fiction movie, searching for a suitable weapon to attack it's enemy, but in his case, he found none. He kicked his legs in the air. Hot blood ran through his veins. His breath was smoky, the fumes filled the room, threatening to suffocate him… However, he wasn't a man that would back down or give up so easily. He knew destroying things won't solve the problem, although he just needed to vent his anger. But the burning determination in him reminded him that the most peaceful way to vent that anger was to take down Lucas. A mischievous smirk tugged across the corners of his lips. The beeping sound of his phone sang once again. He took a deep breath and picked up the call. “Dianna, what do you have for me?” “Our plan failed. He's planning on expanding his company.” His eyes burned with rage as he tossed the phone on to the chair. Slowly, he sat calmly on his chaotic chair, watching the frenzy he created. Frantically, he began thinking on what to do. There must definitely be a way to deal with Lucas. After a few minutes of devious calculations, he smiled gracefully at himself in the mirror and took a long deep breath, relaxing his chaotic mind. Now, it was time for the next course of action. He picked up his phone and researched about Fintech company. Checking all their investments, suppliers and associates. That's what he should have done since rather than destroying the whole place. To make it hit hard, he called one of them. A major supplier of Fintech and offered him a new contract–one no business man would be able to refuse and also forced him to accept with the help of his thugs. “One down…” he chuckled softly. “We're just getting started. You will learn never to mess with me, Lucas Ross.” He carried on like that, calling all their suppliers and buying the ones he could buy to himself. Come to think of it, buying all their suppliers wouldn't hurt him so much. He would just find new ones in a matter of days. He needed to do something more. Something that would pierce his marrow. Something that would make Lucas crawling back to him and kneel at his feet, begging for mercy. He had already imagined Lucas crying and kneeling before him. He had panned out the whole drama already in his head. All he had to think of was what will make it work. After moments of frenzied thinking, he finally found it. The one thing that will crumble Fintech. You don't take away the suppliers, you take away the investors. The ones that bring in the money. Those are the people you work on. “How could I not have thought about it all these while?” Immediately, he went to work. Offering new deals to the investors, promising them unrefusable offers and also threatened them to forcefully agree with his thugs. When he was done, all he did was cross his legs and smile. “Let me see how you'll cope now, Lucas Ross.” The way he called the name in full was full of scorn. The chaos has just begun.

Lucas's footsteps echoed softly as he growled angrily away. Tyler's scowl pierced into his heart. He had failed again.Lucas on the other hand headed to another car mart, his nostrils still breathing out fire and made a purchase of another car.“I'll take this one… can I get your details?” Seconds later, the seller's phone tinged with the alert. “Received, sir…”Lucas nodded softly, the keys jingling in his hands.“Nice doing business with you…”Tyler on the other hand stood by the roadside, his body leaning against hs car as he struggled to get his phone out of his pocket.“Damn it…”His dial pad tinged with the beeping sound of the numbers and the soft taps of his fingers, coupled with the beeping of the call echoing in the air.“Hello dad…”The voice over the phone was hoarse and the background sound was loud, as if there was a party going on.“Where are you?”“None of your business. How about what I sent you?” He growled, his voice echoing over the line.A smile tugged across th
