[Welcome… Demon Lord]
Raya stared down at his reflection in the obsidian floor. The black stone was cracked and uneven, yet it reflected him clearly enough, and what stared back was no longer human. Blue scales traced his skin like living armor, hard and cold, catching faint light with a dull shimmer. His frame was broader, heavier, packed with power that felt unfamiliar yet natural. Claws curved from his fingers, dark and sharp, and when he flexed his hand, the air itself seemed to recoil. The man who once trembled at fate was gone. In his place stood something else. “A… Demon Lord?” Raya murmured. A transparent interface materialized before him, glowing a muted reddish-black, it hovered silently. A title burned at the top. [The Forsaken One] Fear tried to rise, but then it failed. His mind remained cold and clear, as if something deeper refused to let him break. ‘A..System golden finger?’ In his previous life, he had consumed countless stories of systems, reincarnations, demons and many more fantasy stories. Two titles floated before him. Demon Lord and The Forsaken One He selected the first. [Demon Lord] The supreme ruler of demons and monsters in the world of Noah. Effect: All dark-aligned beings instinctively fear and respect you. Dark arts learning speed greatly increased. Raya exhaled slowly, then he opened the second. [The Forsaken One] Abandoned by the universe itself. Despite positive karma, you were never chosen. You suffered and died twice. Effect: Damage from heroes is halved. Your attacks against heroes deal double damage. The world instinctively fears The Forsaken One. “…So even the world is scared of me now,” Raya muttered. He scrolled further. [Race: Demonic Dragon] [Race Effect: Exceptional compatibility with magic and warrior arts] Raya’s eyes narrowed. This world followed two paths of power. Mages bent mana, twisting elements and reality itself. Warriors tempered flesh and spirit, channeling qi through weapons and bodies. Both paths were respected, but magic stood above all. And yet… He had never heard of anyone mastering both. Not once. A faint smile tugged at his lips. “So I’m an exception.” Movement stirred the air. Raya looked up…and froze. The altar hall was no longer empty. Rows of demons knelt before him, filling the vast chamber in perfect silence. Their heads were bowed, bodies trembling under restrained power. The pressure rolling off them was thick enough to weigh on the lungs. “When did you all—” he stopped. He hadn’t sensed them at all. At the very front knelt ten figures, their presence vastly different from the rest. The air around them warped subtly, as if unwilling to touch them directly. A voice broke the silence. “Welcome, Demon Lord the Twelfth.” Raya’s gaze snapped toward the speaker. A woman stepped forward, she was beautiful in a way that felt deliberate and unnatural. Two elegant black horns curved from her forehead, and vast shadowed wings rested behind her like a folded night. Her reddish dark eyes shimmered with intelligence and seductive charm. A system window appeared. [Name: Lira] [Race: Succubus] [Rank: Arch-Demon] Raya noticed something else, all ten at the front bore the same rank, ‘Arch-Demons’ “My Lord,” Lira said smoothly, dipping her head. “Allowing lesser demons to gaze upon you so freely stains your dignity. Please permit us to escort you to the throne room.” Raya’s mind raced, he couldn’t tell them the truth. That he was once a human prisoner. He just happened to be the demon lord by mistake and he is currently confused and overwhelmed. So he did the only thing he could, he nodded. Lira smiled faintly and stepped closer. “If you allow me, my Lord.” Before Raya could respond, light swallowed them whole. When the light vanished, only then did the remaining Arch-Demons raise their heads and teleport away. The lesser demons collapsed where they knelt, gasping for breath. Standing before Arch-Demons was suffocating. Standing before a Demon Lord was unbearable. But now… they finally had one. For centuries, the demon race had been without a ruler. After the death of the previous Demon Lord, no successor had emerged. The Arch-Demons ruled in his absence, waiting. Endlessly waiting, now, the wait is over. --- Raya reappeared in a vast chamber bathed in dim crimson light. A single throne dominated the room, it was massive, carved from dark stone and bones he didn’t recognize. As if drawn by instinct, Raya walked forward and sat. Moments later, the nine remaining Arch-Demons appeared and knelt. Lira stood beside the throne, posture straight, wings slightly unfurled, claiming her place without words. “What are your orders, my Lord?” she asked. “Huh?” ‘Orders?’ The question really surprised him, and he was still working on calming his thoughts. Lately, everything has been happening at such a quick pace, especially over the last few days. Raya steadied himself and looked at them. “Introduce yourselves,” he said calmly. “One by one.” A small girl stepped forward hesitantly. “G-Greetings, my Lord,” she said, bowing deeply. “My name is Clara. I… I oversee the Tenth Floor. I like drinking blood. At your service.” Raya blinked, If not for the dense demonic energy pouring off her, he would have mistaken her for a human child. His system tagged her. [Race: Werewolf] ‘The blood part wasn’t necessary though’, Raya thought. Another girl stepped forward, she looked remarkably similar to Clara, sharing the same facial features. Although she was a bit paler, she was still the same height. Her presence felt cold, yet she spoke in a cheerful manner. “My name is Claire,” she said cheerfully. “Clara’s twin, I oversee the Ninth Floor. I enjoy eating meat. Always at your service, my Lord.” Raya stared between them, then leaned back slightly, resting his clawed hand against the arm of the throne. A werewolf who liked blood and a vampire who liked meat. ‘…Is that normal?’ he wondered silently. This demon realm was already proving far stranger than he expected.Latest Chapter
Chapter 11
The following day…“It’s been two days. Why haven’t you humans brought any reports?” Grondar asked.Alaric was already irritated by the constant pestering of the two fools. They hadn’t even sent members of their own races, yet they dared question him.Kia didn’t bother asking anything. She calmly sipped her tea, uninterested in the argument.Just then, a magic bird flew in through the open air and dropped a letter into Alaric’s palm before vanishing with a poof.Alaric opened it.The letter was from the Association of Guilds, the organization under which all human guilds were registered. It read:“The members from various top guilds who were sent to confirm the birth of the Demon Lord have all been confirmed dead. Their life stones shattered on the same day.”Kia showed little reaction. She slowly set her teacup down.“As expected,” she said calmly. “If they had returned alive, we could have assumed the stones malfunctioned. Their deaths only confirm one thing.”She looked up.“The De

Raya and Lira decided to wander through various landscapes, enjoying the beauty of nature as they traveled through sand, forest, and grassland, having chosen a random direction to explore. Raya could have used teleportation magic, but he preferred to walk to clear his mind. Leading the way, Raya walked ahead as Lira followed behind, finding joy in what felt like a pleasant walking date. After walking for many hours, they began to hear screams in the distance. Raya, who was busy admiring his reflection in a lake, couldn’t help but feel irritated. Seeing her lord slightly annoyed made Lira instantly angry as well. “My lord, do you want me to check what’s going on over there and destroy whatever is disturbing your peace?” she asked. “Don’t destroy anyone,” Raya replied calmly. “Just go check and report back.” “Yes, my lord.” Lira spread her wings and flew into the sky, heading toward the source of the sound. Raya waited behind, sitting on a tree stump and tossing small stones in

The very next day…Raya slept deeply in his private chamber, sprawled across a massive bed carved from obsidian and bone. The heavy curtains swallowed most of the light, leaving the room cloaked in shadows.A figure moved silently across the chamber. She passed by the sleeping demon lord and stopped by the window. With a soft swoosh, the thick panes slid open, allowing morning sunlight to pour in. The sudden beam of gold cut through the darkness and landed squarely on Raya’s face.Raya stirred awake, he sat up abruptly, arms stretching above his head as a slow yawn escaped him. “I had the craziest dream…” he muttered groggily, rubbing his eyes a few times. The moment his eyes fully opened….His body reacted before his mind did.In a flash, his hand shot forward and clamped around a throat.“My lord….please!” the figure choked out.Raya froze. His grip loosened as awareness rushed in. Standing before him was a maid, one of the tower’s servants. She had a single, massive eyeball in the

Raya and Lucifer walked through the tower. The higher floors were quiet, Raya was met only by the respectful greetings of each floor master. Those upper levels were nearly empty, polished and orderly, but the deeper they descended, the more the refinement faded. The walls lost their decorative carvings. The light dimmed, shifting from artificial glow to dull torchlight. After passing the tenth floor, they finally reached the ground floor.Raya slowed his pace, Lucifer immediately adjusted to match him.“This is the ground floor, the main entrance of the tower, my lord,” Lucifer said. “It also serves as housing for lesser demons, prisons for other races, and… entertainment grounds.”Raya didn’t respond. Only now did he have the leisure to truly observe the ground floor, unlike his first time here, when he had been dragged in as a human prisoner. In fact he just noticed that the ground floor was hundred times larger than the others. It felt like an entire town thriving within the tower

The image within the crystal orb was steady. A barren stretch of land near the Nightfall dungeon tower came into view. Broken stone, trampled sand, then came the image of some humans. The Humans knew that they had been discovered, when they sensed the presence of a demon. Lucifer flew down and stood before them. His black wings were folded neatly behind his back, his hands resting calmly at his sides. He looked almost relaxed. “They sent an advance unit,” Lira said from beside the throne. “Likely to confirm the disturbance.” Before Raya could respond or even blink, he saw that mana had been gathered. Arrows were loose. Lucifer, didn’t dodge, he only had one thought, ‘I have to thank you guys for coming, I can use you lots to show off to my lord’ The arrows disintegrated midair, reduced to ash before they could touch him. Lucifer raised one hand, then it seemed as if the world bent. That was the only way Raya could describe it. Space itself seemed to recoil as a pressure de
Chapter 6
The Crystal of the Demon Lords had been silent for decades.Once, its deep crimson glow would flare to life whenever a Demon Lord was born. Now, it remained dark, cold, inert, untouched by time.Three figures stood watch before the crystal, each representing one of the world’s great races. They were gathered in a land that belonged to none of them, the vast Sahara Plain. Endless golden sand stretched beyond the fortress walls, broken only by heat waves and the occasional sound of the wind. It was a neutral zone, agreed upon long ago after countless wars had reduced entire continents to ash.To guard the crystal, a massive fortress had been built here, its black stone walls reinforced with layered enchantments. Elite forces from all three races patrolled its halls day and night. Not because they trusted one another, but because none of them dared leave the crystal unguardedSince the formation of their uneasy alliance against a common and terrifying enemy, the fortress had also beco
