As they watched William leave, the two guards began to mock him.

“Hmmph, he really thought that the young miss would fall for his lies.”

“That's what he gets for thinking he can deceive us with his petty acts.”

Just then, Zara spoke up, addressing the departing William. “Wait!”

William paused and then, glanced back at Zara while the guards panicked.

“Young Miss, don't tell me…”

“Hush.” Zara scolded before shifting her attention back to the waiting William.

“Can my grandfather truly be saved?”

It was clear that she was trying to believe that William could truly save her grandfather.

William nodded. “He can. Though the process is delicate, I am one hundred percent certain that I can pull it off.”

Biting down on her lower lip, Zara pondered for a while before she finally replied. “Then please, help me save my grandfather.”

“No, young Miss, you mustn't believe the words of a scammer!” The first guard cried out with the other remarking.

“He clearly doesn't know what he is saying. He migh

Meanwhile, William had just gotten out of a conversation with Zayn when he got the call from Victoria. “William.” “Yes, Miss Smith.” “Come over to Piping Hot, something is happening to Sir Lionel.” William sighed. “Didn't I warn him to be careful?... Now see. “Please come over quickly, I fear if something isn't done soon, he might pass away.” “Yeah, I know, I'm on my way.” With that, William ended the call and quickly left for Piping Hot Cafe. He arrived roughly fifteen minutes after Victoria called him, just in time to watch as medics that the cafe had called rushed in to tend to him. Raising a brow, William didn't say anything immediately as he watched them try to disperse the people who had gathered around to watch the scene. Victoria rushed to meet him the moment she noticed his presence. “You were right, William, something is wrong with Sir Lionel.” “I'm aware, no need to tell me twice,” William said in slight annoyance. “How long has it been since this started?” “Fi

Victoria shrugged. “No need. I trust that the doctors in charge would take your advice.” “And if they don't.” “Then I believe we both should head over there.” “Alright then.” William was agreeable to the suggestion as he had a feeling that the doctors on duty might turn out to be bull-headed. But before that, he had a question. “How come you just happened to be having a coffee meeting with Sir Lionel today of all days?” Victoria smirked as she replied. “I recalled what you said and decided to take active measures to ensure that not only do you end up with yet another illustrious individual in your
