Jason couldn't believe his ears. At first, he thought it was a trick meant to humiliate him.

But the credit alert glowing on Mei's phone cleared his doubt.

It was real. The digits were as real as the very air he breathes.

"H-how did you do it?" he stammered, his throat tightening. "Rockechilds Group is the most inaccessible, strict companies in the world. It's rare to bag favours from them."

But Mei ignored him.

She addressed everyone else, her voice trembling with excitement. "Rockechilds Group initiated a capital infusion program for a few struggling companies crippled by the recent stock market crash. Zhao Dynasty happened to be on their lists."

The boardroom erupted into loud cheers as everyone celebrated.

Zhao Long mopped his face with a trembling hand. "I must be dreaming. It's a miracle. We don't need Heisenberg's money anymore. We are free."

Jason's jaws clenched bitterly. His hands curled into fists so tight his knuckles went bone white.
