The Cultivation Realms were somewhat complicated.

There were exactly seven of them:

[Human Realm

Qi Refining Realm

Golden Core Realm

Soul Formation Realm]

These four were seen as the realms where individuals were still mortal and trained themselves.

These four realms could be thought of as the disasters that followed after the first nine magic rings, or as being referred to as [Master Magician].

[Perfection Realm

Heaven Realm

Holy Realm]

These three realms indicated that the individual had now become semi-immortal, that their lifespan had surpassed even that of a wizard who had created the twelfth magic circle, and that they had approached divinity as much as those wizards, and in some cases even more.

Castiel was an example of such a person.
